I had a pick up order which was ready within the next 2 hours, super fast. Only giving a 1 star was the service I got when I returned it. I came back the same day to return since I did not like what I got and wanted to trade it for something else that was in stock immediately. I had called the store in advance to let them know the situation, the girl mentioned to come back and she'll give a store credit since I just needed to swap out the item that was also in stock. When I came to return, there was a worker name Wen Ya who did not even listen to my explanation and just automatically placed it back into my credit card! I obviously explained to her what had happened but did she not listen or to even ask me like how would I like the return? She had the audacity to say "well why didn't you tell me first?" Excuse me? Never ordering anything from this location anymore... worst experience ever

This is the worst. We ordered a new front door in February, got a broken one delivered in July that is still sitting on our porch. The replacement was supposed to be here in October still nothing. We call our representative several times a week but only get a mailbox. She has never called back .

Parking is a little odd. I'll get that off my chest. The store is always well stocked and I never had any difficulties finding someone when I had a question. I mostly come here for gardening and they always have a nice selection of flowers, veg and fruit trees. This year I bought a bunch of bulbs that I hope will bring a smile to people who walk past my house in the spring. We've come here regularly over the years for home improvement items including replacement fans (wrong one and returning was super easy), painting (fun people who blend it up) and tools. Daughter came here when she needed boxes when she moved to Utah. Prices are fair. People are helpful. Bathrooms are easy to find and clean. If you don't have much, I'd recommend the checkout area in the gardening center. It's usually empty.

Very littered parking lot and landscaped areas. Makes me want to leave. Hey Manager, it makes a BIG first-hand impression!

When we were doing renovations, I was in here multiple times a week! As usual, if you know what you are looking for and what you need...it will be an excellent experience. However, if you don't...then don't expect much. For example, when we purchased our pergo laminates flooring...the sales person here was great when we provided our measurements BUT when it came time to buying the appropriate flooring for the stair and stair noses...his knowledge was very limited. Instead of calling for help, the wrong order was made and I ended up having to bring back a truckful of extra flooring. So my moral of the story is - do your research first. Even if it's something simple like where an item is...their app is actually pretty accurate about capturing what's in stock and what is not. It's also helpful they list the exact locations and bays that the item is located in. No need to ask anybody since it's always tough tracking somebody down! Overall associates here are friendly though. Always nice to me, my kid, and my dog! The only time somebody was rude was one of the solar energy vendors who walk around with the iPad trying to get you to set up an appointment haha. Always plenty of parking and it's always easy to get in & out of this location (unlike Campbell) haha.

This corporation needs to hire more employees to assist their customers now that anything of value is locked behind gates. I know this corporation is making record profits and whoever at the top is doing great. 20 minutes to even get help for a minor issue is ridiculous and the leaders of this corporation need to get it together. You suck.

First off...I love the store and the employees are very nice and helpful...except for one.....I have had many run ins with her but today was the straw that broke the camel's back...I bought two propane tanks here several months ago. On Sunday I changed them out and the second one I bought, when I hooked it up, the fuel valve failed and began leaking out the other spigot side. I brought them back to the store for a refill on one and an exchange on the other. I placed both of them in a shopping cart and brought them into the store at the customer service center. A very nice young man, who appeared to be a fairly new employee graciously asked me if I needed help. As he began to assist me, I guess she is the supervisor of the customer service area, her name is TERRY, rudely interrupted our conversation and yelled out to the both of us..."Are those tanks full?"...I stated yes, one of them is...she then exclaimed to both he and I, that they can not be brought into the store...they are too dangerous...and walked away.....The young man helping me was obviously embarrassed and apologized for her behavior. (I must say I was not surprised at all for this was not the first time she has been rude, condescending and obnoxious to me, and from what I have seen, her fellow employees. THe young man then told me to wait at the counter while he went outside to see if there were any replacement tanks....while I waited, TERRY came back over and attacked me again, yelling at me to take them outside...I told her that her employee told me to wait right here...she said NO....TAKE THEM OUTSIDE NOW!....and then to placate me and so as not to say she wasn't polite, she said " THANK YOU" in the most condescending, disrespectful, rude and quite vulgar insinuation, looking down upon me as If was not a valued customer but a dirty beggar below her feet. I started to take them outside when the young man helping me came back with one full tank.....Terry then came back to again berate this young man in front of me which is totally inappropriate for a supervisor to do in front of the customers and their fellow employees. Any supervisor of any quality or worth would know this. SHE OBVIOUSLY IS NOT! I would conclude that I hope the staff and management of this store take notice of this very nasty, insincere person and evaluate her position in this wonderful store which I truly like....to me, she is not only a detriment to good customer service and values but her treatment of her fellow employees under her supervision is abominable and atrocious. It is a sad state to see one individual so filled with loathing for others that she must truly dislike herself..very sad indeed....thank you...

Visited this store today to purchase a Christmas tree. It's Thursday, early afternoon, so not especially busy. Picked out a tree, and paid $90. It was a rather narrow tree, not especially tall or heavy. Asked the "big guy" working the tree lot for assistance in putting it on top of the car. He mumbled something - nothing friendly - and very begrudgingly helped and immediately walked off. Surly and almost outright rude. Found some loose twine on the ground and secured it as best possible. I will never purchase a tree here again. Will instead go to the Home Depot in Campbell where you get a smile (behind the mask), friendly attitude, and helpful staff.

I actually like this chain a lot based on my experience with its staff (doors, plumbing, receptionist) for the time of 2021. I received tons of help and construction technical advice that even my licensed general contractor wasn't willing and/or able to offer. While obviously Home Depot is super busy and under-staffed, I can still receive adequate coverage whenever I approached one of the staff and asked him/her to page the person in charge for the department I am looking for. If you call this chain (HIllsdale avenue), they would eventually get the phone! Speaking of doors, I understand some of the customer's frustration come from product not being delivered on time. While I have definitely encountered such experience as well, I feel that Home Depot of this chain is doing its best to help me out! Thank you, Home Depot of Hillsdale Avenue of year 2021!

Normally, they're dependable. Don't like the owner's politics, but they're closer than Lowe's and returns at this location have been pretty fast and hassle-free. Every personal encounter I have had in person has been great, actually. What's bumming me out at the moment is that I ordered a disposal with installation. I figured I could trust Home Depot to do this. Well, the website and email says I'd get a call within 48 hours. It's been 7 days and I haven't gotten a call. Turns out the job is given to a third party (which I could have done myself). Five days in, a rep gave me the third party number to call myself which is inconvenient, and they haven't called me back. Lame. It's now coming on two weeks and not even the store itself will call me back. The phones ring and ring. Corporate won't do anything. The phone mazes are unbearable. How Doers Get Done? I'm Done. Update: Manager WES worked hard to help me get back on track, offering me to pay a third party and then he'd refund my installation charge (which I still don't get, but OK). Problem is that the installation company discovered the new disposal was faulty during testing. I had to go get a new one. And the installer the next day found the second disposal to be faulty and had to return it.

If you have never been to this location before and really want to get a dose of covid 19, then hilsdale is the place to get a dose or 2. some customers do not wear a mask, but none of the people working the floor will tell them masks are mandatory. homedepot will eventually pay for their transgressions. I only hope I am able to see it happen. I now go to hamilton

Short version: don't expect a good experience getting a door install through this Home Depot. Long version: we started a door install process here in February. Took a bit to lick out the door we wanted but we finalized and ordered it in March. It took a while for the door to be made and delivered and then we had about four installs go wrong and a total of four doors ordered before the install was complete. It was a complete mess and giant headache to deal with. It wasn't until late September when the final actual door was installed. We had installers come tell us the door was made wrong, delaying the install. We had doors delivered to Home Depot and damaged there and reordered. We had doors delivered to Home Depot that were ultimately lost? Or not found? Causing another door delivery and delay. It was one thing after another, just seemed like Home Depot didn't have it together on their end. I should have known-- after the first couple doors and botched install attempts, I asked about a discount. They told me they wouldn't discount until the job was done, implying (correctly) that they expected more to go wrong before the end. Don't do installs through this location. Go literally anywhere else.

Andrew from flooring helped summarize carpet choices to us and we walked away well informed.
