“There were two things I wanted to do on my trip to the Bay Area - eat good food and buy a warrior shirt. I had seen a sumo fish warrior shirt in Japantown SF but decided to buy it at Nikkei because they let me try it on in the bathroom. The staff are super accommodating and friendly. There is a variety of asian inspired goods ranging from music cds from hawaii to asian inspired legos like a shiba inu and daruma doll. I'll definitely be back to get more sumo fish shirts! They're comfortable, flattering and the designs are super fun! Mahalo to the cashier who let me try on the shirts. He was really nice!”

“They got it! I always take my car remote batteries here. Great family, super friendly, and they have the Sriracha! I bought a case for a reasonable price. They have a few cases left. I will be going back for a rice cooker, they have the good stuff, and really good prices too. Lastly, I have major shoulder pain and they recommended a Vietnamese oil and it really helped. I love these guys and a lifetime customer.”

“One of the great things about going to Japantown is stores like this. Packed full of everything Japanese you can think of, from stationary, greeting cards, to pottery and decorative dolls. I could have spent an hour in here! So cute and laid out so well. One sad thing to see is Japantown in SJ is not as bustling as before, and I hope stores like this get the attention it deserves. It's a treasure.”

“This was my first time visiting Japantown and found this great store with so many Japanese items. Arlene, the owner, showed us how to fold origami hats that can be used as bookmarks. I was curious about how a kimono is worn and Miko spent time dressing me in a kimono and explaining each step. There was another lady there that was nice. I came out with knowledge about the kimono and Japanese style and with a beautiful tsuzumi pillow. I highly recommend this gem of a store!”

“Happy with the quality service I received recently! Arrived on a Thursday night to pick up an online order. The associate reassured me to wait patiently since my items were hidden in the back room. When she came out, I was surprised that my order was well protected in a box since there were some ceramics inside. She helped double check the content of my items to make sure my order was correct. Thankful for her kind customer service!!”

“Very approachable sales people and they know what they're doing! I had to come and buy a pair of heels for my work and showed them a picture for reference. The lady knew exactly what to get and the appropriate size (they only do whole sizes not 6.5, 7.5...). Easiest purchase ever! Would definitely come back to grab more heels because the prices are fairly reasonable!”

“I came here recently to buy an ao dai for my daughter for Tet. The lady who helped me and my husband was really nice and showed us the sets they had for her age range. I decided to get a red and gold one, and it came with the pants. The store although small has a lot of different merchandise. Can feel a little cramped in there. A good spot for trinkets and a Lotto ticket”

I feel so welcome every time I come here, and I can always find exactly what I need, I don't think they've ever been out of stock of anything. They're always willing to help out any customer. Highly recommend.”

“I ordered an arrangement for a birthday party and this location had a problem with their driver. Arrangement didn’t show up until 10:22pm but I’m giving them 5 stars because after contacting them with my complaint, the young lady working was very apologetic and explained to me that drivers are contractors and it wasn’t really their fault. She spoke to her manager and I received a refund. I use EA quite often so thank you for a great customer service and for making it right.”
