The wait to pick up prescriptions on weekends and after 5pm on weekdays can be long. Because everyone just loves this pharmacy. The workers there are super friendly and patient. Although this review and Google Maps listing is for the pharmacy alone located in the back, it's worth mentioning this CVS in general has good staff.The pharmacists at most CVS's never stay long but the two current ones here are knowledgeable and efficient. My doctor thought they would be too busy to call insurance for me same-day and get approval for two month's worth of medication but I told the doctor, these workers are good.And they always pick up the phone. Actually they even call me voluntarily asking if they should order refills for me or whenever my medication is ready but I forgot to pick it up.Some customers do give them a hard time when they can't get their meds (even though it is usually not CVS's fault) but the pharmacists will always help you no matter what attitude you give them. Also this pharmacy is open until 8pm on weekdays which is as late as it gets for any pharmacy in the area. The CVS store is open until 11pm.

If there was an option of no stars or negative stars I would have done that. The pharmacist has very bad manners, absolutely NO customer service at all. He yell at me, didn't give an answer, didn't allow me to ask questions, cut me off, and very demeaning way of addressing me. I don't recommend this place at all. And sadly just now I read about other comments of how the pharmacist has treated others. Why is management not hiring s.o else? This guy is getting away with providing terrible service, doesn't answer professionally, absolutely appalling. Pls hire s.o else to work in the pharmacy. Customers deserve a respectful person working there.

I used to come here every 3 months to pick up my recurring medications but will be changing pharmacies and will never be coming back. I got yelled at by the pharmacist for asking follow up questions for why I was given a different medication than what I was prescribed. She gave me no explanation why the medication was changed without warning and could not answer any of my questions about if what I was given was a similar formulation. My doctor was also never contacted about the change. I had to call a different cvs to get my questions answered, and they actually took the time to look up the differences and explain them to me. The only positive experience of my last visit was the new clerk who originally helped me.

This location is the worst CVS I've ever interacted with. The pharmacy is completely inept and has zero customer service. If you put a prescription "on hold" you should at least let the patient or the provider know. My provider called numerous times and couldn't get more info. I had to talk to three different pharmacists on four occasions and none of them had notes on the situation. They all told me different solutions for the "problem" but didn't like each other's solutions. The worst was Afsan who wouldn't let me get a word in during our conversation (and she had the info totally wrong so I was trying to correct her). I asked twice politely for a chance to speak, and finally, had to YELL into the phone "could you give me one second to speak please?"

I had multiple bad experience visiting this CVS store on 5170 Moorpark Ave San Jose, CA 95129. I had to go to store for the third time to pick up my medicine last month. It was because the pharmacist was out for lunch 30 min past the lunch hour. All they like to say is "Please come back". They also provide wrong information which caused inconvenience to the customers. My friend did a walk-in vaccine yesterday. They told me I had to make an appointment online today when I tried to have the shot. I went back again the second time today for Flu shot, I was told I can come back around 4pm to check if I can do the walk-in vaccine. I wish they told me this earlier so I didn't have to make the second trip. All they like to do is "come back again". It seems to them we have all those free time to come back for picking up the same medicine multiple times or taking flu accine shots. Our time is not important. If the service is not improved, I will not go there again. Basically I see pharmacists there don't try to make effort to help their customers but like to say "come back" again to do have the service we want.

My car got broken into with my stuff stolen here. Apparently this has been going on for a while with an average of 5 cars affected every night. Be careful when you are here. Luckily, a staff named Mary was kind enough to help us.

Can't complain about this CVS at all. I've filled 2 RX's here in the last 4 weeks. Each transaction was smooth and flawless. I never had more than a couple of minutes wait time.And the pharmacy staff are pleasant. No attitudes are "intentional" wait times (everyone must know what it's like to stand in the front of a line waiting while the employee works super diligently infront of you without even looking up to say hi or "be right with you". Well don't worry about that here- super friendly and ready to help.

Went to my NOT usual CVS Pharmacy. Surprise! An overall positive experience. Friendly helpful good stock and was in and out very fast Highly recommend

Odd layout and I didn't need an RX. Just kinda went in, found the thing close to what I needed and got it. Maybe it was a bad day for the inventory...but ya, it worked.

I made an appointment for a flu shot. They have times by the quarter hour online and a check in system... but they do not honor it. I went in for my appointment and was told there were eight people in front of me because they just take them as they come. Additionally, this means that there are eight people and their partners, caregivers, et cetera mulling around this already high traffic spot in the store. Not a great look, setup, or process. I do not reckon this is what the head office had in mind.
