Believe the BAD ratings! The pharmacy is terrible. We came multiple times in one day to get a simple prescription filled. Long lines, only to be told to come back in an hour again. Pharmacist didn't care that we had sick kids at home and have made multiple trips. In our previous experience at the pharmacy, we also had issues waiting and them filling in a timely manner. Avoid, avoid, avoid. When you or kids are sick, you cannot afford to waste so much time.

Unable to pick up my medication because the lady at the pharmacy "Alice" could not find me through my insurance card information which was provided. She would not call my doctor or the hospital or my insurance to verify my insurance. I ended up calling the hospital myself and they would not give me the information over the phone because I don't work for the pharmacy, so I then called my insurance which was a 1hour wait. The insurance told me that the information i provided to the lady was all she would need to pull up and verify my insurance. Santa Clara family health plan does not have a BIN number. Which is what this lady was asking for. Bin number refers to other insurance companies like BlueCross which I don't have. I would never recommend this CVS and you should not deal with this rude careless person if you are visiting the pharmacy. Absolutely trash service by her. I've had other pharmacies in the past call to verify and have been very helpful. When calling, This lady interrupts you and puts you on hold without warning. She should do her job. Since dealing with her today, I was able to go to another pharmacy, and they made a simple phone call to verify my insurance and was able to call the hospital ER where I was the previous night to confirm pick up at a new location unfortunately the hospital made it so I could not pick it up anywhere else. So we returned with a printed paper from the other pharmacy with all the same information I provided which they would accept if the hospital sent my prescription there, to see if wondered Alice would help this time. She was able to fill my prescription this time no problem. Because she had a paper with the same information on it. 3 hours of calling and driving around to get the simple prescription filled. If they can call for more information so can she. I won't be back.I just want to say: "Alice, Thanks for absolutely nothing. Do your job."

Reviews don't lie. Bad service honestly. Front person (white lady with tattoos) in the pharmacy has no compassion and walked away when I tried to tell her something. If it's not easy service, I see they give you a hard time.

Rich, the store manager, violated my HIPAA rights to privacy, blatantly this weekend. My 73 year old mother was denied her prescription for the 5th month in a row by the horrific pharmacy manager , Virginia. Virginia refused to speak with my poor mother, a cancer survivor, who was due her pain medications. Virginia has openly accused my senior mother of abusing pain medication when she attempts to refill it every 30 days, as ordered. She offers zero sympathy or apologies for her judgement and accusations. Virginia then told me on the phone that neither me (a mother of two), nor my mother were EVER allowed to get any of our medications from this pharmacy ever again, because my mother "made a scene" by crying. When escalated to the store manager, RICH, he demanded my mother talk to him regarding her medications and medical history AT THE FRONT OF THE STORE BY A LINE OF PEOPLE CHECKING OUT. She repeatedly begged him to take her somewhere private- MY 73 YEAR OLD DOUBLE BREAST CANCER SURVIVOR MOTHER- and he said "here in front of the store will be just fine". I plan to report Virginia to the CA board of pharmacists and have her investigated- I am positive that it is illegal to force an entire family to switch pharmacies, suddenly, because she doesn't like us. She claims that ALL prescriptions are under her personal "discretion", despite doctors ordering them for my mother on a specific date. She is truly a vile, rude, power-crazy human. I even hesitate to call her human. Her unrivaled cruelty and inhumane treatment of patients is truly something i have NEVER encountered in over a decade of nursing. She is judgmental, assuming the worst of patients, and cruel. The manager, Rich, should also be looked in to. Clearly he is not familiar with medical privacy laws, as I plan to report him for violating HiPAA laws, which can result in a fine of $10,000 in this beautiful state. I am reporting all managers that side with each other at this store, punish customers, refuse to listen to customers or give them DIGNITY AND PRIVACY for concerns. Whoever is running things here should check out the EXTRAORDINARY turnover rate of employees in the pharmacy. Ever since Virginia came on as manager, over 5 of my most beloved, kind, wonderful pharmacy techs have suddenly disappeared. One warned me, saying: "I'm transferring to ___ pharmacy, please come with me! Trust me, you do not want to be a customer of Virginia". So, it's not just me.

CVS average hold time - 20 minutes. Legally can't release controlled substance without a pharmacy consult if its a new prescription #, even if the patient has been on this medication for years or decades. Today, for the first time ever, this pharmacy enforced this law. However, the pharmacist was at lunch, and there is no pharmacist brought in to cover her during her lunch, so the customer, as always, has to leave and come back. Now, more than ever, when we have to don masks to enter the store, this is massively inconvenient. Either it is a law, or it is not a law. Make up your mind and start taking care of your customers.

I changed to this pharmacy because of the bad experiences I had at Safeway on Hamilton Ave. My first 4-5 visits here were a very pleasant experience until last Wednesday. On my 6th. visit I experienced or witnessed poor attitude toward a customer, bad customer service and worst of all the lack of patient confidentiality. Are all chain pharmacies this way?? I can be sympathetic they are over worked and under staffed but it's counter productive to take it out on a customer.

I'm appalled at the complete lack of customer service At this location. You've got to answer the phone!!! Don't you realize many people don't have the luxury of being able to stand in line in order to have a prescription issue resolved? I called at different times of the day only to hear some horrible stressed out voice bark "HOLD !!!" and immediately put me back on hold to suffer through 10 to 16 minutes of their extremely annoying in your face rotation of hold announcements. Pharmacist: make yourself listen to this for a solid 10 minutes and you'll get hives... To make matters worse: after several attempts I finally contacted to store manager to let him know how awful this was: he apologized and took down my information including the issue I needed to have resolved. He admitted the pharmacy was even more short staffed and the pharmacist was alone. I asked him to have her modify her tone of voice instead of barking HOLD!!!!, and maybe take two extra seconds to explain the extra long hold times. The manager agreed this wasn't good customer service but guess what? No follow up back to me on my urgent issue, not even when I sent him an email a day later and when I tried the pharmacist the next day it was business as usual: "HOLD!!!!!"

Went here to pick up some regular items. The staff was helpful and the store was clean. The are open late and it is well lit. It is well stocked and the prices are fair; good place to go if you need something quick.

The pharmacy Dept here is horrible. Good luck trying to get through the phone with them. They never ever answer the phone. Long lines and short stressed staff. Go somewhere else for your meds.

Virginia the world's rudest pharmacy tech finally was too much for me. All I was doing was picking up an already paid for prescription but I obviously annoyed her. I was the 2nd person in line and Virginia also had a bad attitude with the little old lady that was before me. While rolling her eyes and looking over at the other employees as if I disgusted her she shouted out the spelling of my name. I felt humiliated and disrespected and that is not how I want to feel when I go to pick up medicine. I have dealt with Virginia's bad attitude on too many occasions and even though the pharmacy is close to my house I will take my business elsewhere. I can say that the managers were very nice and apologetic to me but after reading that several other customers have also had the same exact negative experience dealing with Virginia, I would say that they are not very responsible managers. You need customers to pay employees and losing customers and bringing down employee morale by keeping around someone like Virginia is just not a wise thing to do. Btw I'm not a big complainer, check my other yelps, I like to keep things positive.

Save yourself the trouble and go to Walgreen for your prescription. Virginia one of the pharmacists, always has a bad attitude towards customers. shes extremely rude. Virginia makes you feel uncomfortable when you ask questions as if you are taking up her time. Everyone else is great i dont understand what her problem is.
