We drive all the way from SJ to get these delicious meats from Olivier's butchery. Yes, pricey. But..these are the best in the Bay. The quality of steaks are unmatched. It's as good or better than what the Bay area steakhouse serve. Please go out and support these local businesses. Especially like Olivier butchery that has grass fed and dry aged steaks, something you can't everywhere. And the staff always friendly!

Came in to get a nice steak and ended up with some New York cuts, a whole marinated lemon chicken, and bacon. The lady there was extremely helpful and made recommendations based on questions on the types of cuts I was looking for. From the moment I walked in I felt taken care of and welcomed. After selecting the New York strip, pieces were cut off in the thickness I choose and the meat was trimmed right away so it was ready to go. After cooking everything, I can say the quality absolutely did not disappoint. I will absolutely be coming back and would highly recommend this butcher!

My favorite butcher in the world. For health reasons, I limit red meat. When I want a steak or a rib roast, I make a 90-minute round trip to Olivier's.They focus on rib eyes, rib roasts, and New York strips of prime grade and aging of 25 days, 45 days, 69 days, and sometimes longer. Always cut to order, and so if you want a thicker steak (as I often do), it's just a matter of asking. All pricey, but so worth it. You'll also reliably find filet mignon and less expensive cuts of beef like hanger steak and picanha.Plus, several cuts of quality pork, chicken, duck. A number of fantastic sausages in different styles. Awesome offal like beef heart, tripe, kidneys, liver, pig trotters, tongue, marrow bones, and more.If you're looking to make a stock, they often have bones and scrap parts for sale, all at a very low and reasonable price.Plus, they have some high quality pantry items. The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and hard-working.

A French butcher for top-notch meat. The welcome is great and warm. The prices are fair for what you get. There are bacon bits, good white ham, chipos and even veal liver depending on the day! You will also find the real mountain of Dijon for purists. I love the waitress who always gives good advice and is very smiling. I was once disappointed and the “after-sales service” was up to the standards of the products.

Very high quality meat. I’ve had the whole chicken , chicken bones and filet tenderloin. The filet isn’t “cheap” but it’s worth it and better than going to a restaurant. For the quality, it’s definitely worth the price. Filet tenderloin is $31/lb.1/1/24 - even after leaving SF I still come here for the quality and value.Amazing ny strip and the PORCHETTA is fabulous. Pictures added.

The best service, the employees at Olivier's bring back the neighborhood feel of going to a butcher shop. They are always working hard everyone is doing something but no one is too busy to provide you with excellent help. Not to mention the meat selection is always top tier!!!

Absolutely stellar experience! I am doing two different types of pork roast for a big Christmas dinner, one Italian Porchetta (Jamie Oliver recipe), and a Danish Flæskesteg. Both cuts are a bit unusual. I went to one old and well known butcher shop in San Francisco, and had it mansplained to me in a rather arrogant way that those cuts were wrong, even though I brought the book with me to show photos. I went home and googled other butcher shops and found Olivier's. I emailed them and got a reply back within less than 5 minutes, telling me that of course they can help, and told me how to enter the special instructions on the order form. Two days before I go to pick up the meat they call me and asks if I want one of them scored Danish style! Heck yeah!As I went to pick up the meat today (first time visiting the store), I was blown away by how service minded ALL of them were. The guy behind the counter butterflied the porchetta in front of me just the way the recipe calls for (that the other store said was impossible...), and the Danish cut was perfectly scored for the crackling. Can't wait to get cooking!I came only to pick up these items, but they have SO much more! Everything looked super clean and professional, and I look forward to coming back. I'm telling all my Danish friends about it!

While the price points may be a bit on the expensive side, I can say that every cut of meat I have ever gotten has never disappointed when it comes to quality and flavor. The staff is super helpful and courteous. If you want high quality meats and poultry, this is your place.
