Nijiya Market is a small but well-sized grocery store with a large selection of ready-made foods, sashimi, and Japanese ingredients. It offers a good variety of fresh sushi, sashimi, katsu, and bento boxes, which are packed daily and ready to go. The store has friendly and helpful cashiers, and convenient, discounted parking. Prices are reasonable, especially for the San Francisco location, and the store is known for its sashimi-grade fish and a wide range of Japanese sauces, spices, and specialty items. It’s a popular spot for snacks, drinks, fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, and desserts like mochi and chichi dango. After 5 pm, unsold sushi bento boxes are 20% off.
Our go to place for snacks, drinks and the huge selection of lunch, snack and dinners packed fresh daily and ready to go. We get ika(squid) sushi, sashimi, katsu, a beverage and sometimes candy and snacks.

Our favorite place to shop when visiting Japan Towne. From fresh chichi dango, red bean mochi, fruits, veggies, meats, soups, Bento boxes etc. Lots of Japanese sauces, spices and specialty ingredients.

Consistent service and good variety of products. Prices aren't the cheapest, but the store is convenient for me so I'm okay paying for it.
