Had it for 2 years and 1. They deliver nearly triple the bandwidth they promised. 2. I can count on one hand the number of times the service has dropped. Super consistent, no issues, and they're even significantly lowering the price.

Google Fiber Webpass works great…until it rains!!!! Whenever there is a little rain or windy weather here in San Diego, the Webpass internet service goes out! It’s ridiculous especially when you know that the dedicated radio antenna is located only 4 miles from my house! It just went out during a soccer match and I missed my team scoring 2 goals! It’s gone out when I was researching products and preparing invoices for clients which affects my livelihood. I honestly can’t recommend Webpass because of this issue with losing service during inclement weather!

2 outages in 2 days, making 3 in about a week. Nice folks in Customer Service, but that doesn't make up for unreliable Service, does it. Moved to Webpass from ATT after 2 years due to price. Good reliability until recently. "The bitterness of poor service remains long after the pleasure of low price is forgotten." I'll probably be changing internet providers tomorrow. Unless a miracle happens! Sad.

Update 12/31/03: Service began dropping out each night for 5-10 minutes each time. Then it began dropping out multiple times during the day. When the service is good, its GREAT. But it's completely unreliable now. For someone who has a lot of stuff that relies on reliable wifi, this just doesn't work. Id go back in a second, if they fixed whatever is wrong.Original Review: After dealing with Cox not being able to fix their service, i cancelled, and searched Google Fiber Webpass, and was able to get a same day appointment. The tech(Brian) was courteous, and very professional. He came in, set everything up, explained how to use it, and answered all of my questions. Im extremely happy so far. Based just off of todays experience, i highly recommend this service.

Rudest customer service rep! I've had this service for 2 yrs but for the past 2 months it's running very slow. This guy was such a jerk to me last night he goes, "I knew you were going to be a problem when you said if you could just look at the notes from last month to understand what's happening". WHAT? He then proceeds to tell me he doesn't feel like dealing with my problem because he has four minutes left on his shift . Yeah. He literally said that to me. He has one job! Nope. Can't do his one job. WHICH MY $$$ PAYS HIS SALARY. Terrible service. I do IT for freaking living. What's happening is kind of technical which is why I wanted him to copy the notes. Who treats people like that? What if I were elderly? What if I had special needs? What if English wasn't my first language? Such a jerk. So yeah one star. Horrible customer service

Had Cox for 2 years and switched to webpass for twice the speed at the same price I was paying and it has been a huge disappointment in 4 months there has been an issue with outages 3 times almost once a month so yes the speeds are fast but the service is very inconsistent

I work for Google Fiber Webpass from home and the upload speeds are excellent for video conferencing, working on cloud-based docs, and emailing large files. The reliability is unmatched, too!

Webpass is the only provider you should consider if you have the option. The most competitive rate + one single fee for gigabit speeds, NO DATA CAP, no extra charge for unlimited data, no equipment rental fees, and the installers are amazing and show up by specific appointment time.Story time! After all the nightmare outsourced customer service nightmares I experienced with Cox over the years, I just experienced the stark difference with Webpass. Just moved into my new apartment, and the installer hooked up one of our Ethernet ports as promised, but I wanted to activate all the ports in the apartment, so I got a switch and connected it myself. I failed to get working correctly so I called Webpass. I only had to choose one menu option in the phone menu, and a service tech answered with no wait! And after explaining my issue in a couple sentences, he immediately knew the solution. This is the value of a company that hires knowledgeable reps who will actually be available to speak to customers. All of this, and they’re the CHEAPEST gigabit service in town. Stellar.

This is by far the worst wifi I have ever dealt with. It works 20% of the time and when we called they said it was because of the storm. It hasn’t rained in over a week and it’s even worse. When it appears to be online, connected, and working it isn’t. Web pages will load until it says it can’t . I haven’t been able to use it right since we first got it 3 months ago and the only reason we kept it is because they gave us a free month if we stayed with them. Get Cox. I know it’s expensive but it’s far better paying that price and actually getting wifi then wasting your money and getting Google fiber for it to never work 80% of the time. My data has gone up on my phone because I’ve been having to use my hotspot just to get on the internet on my computer. 1/10 , not worth it even for free.

Well since it's raining and that causes my Google Webpass internet to go out I figured I'd use my working Verizon data plan to tell you what a terrible service this is. Will I be reimbursed for my loss of service? Of course not! I was told they offer no refunds of any kind for any outages. The customer service rep stood by that even when I asked what would happen if the service goes out and never comes back. So if you're stuck at home on a rainy day you better have a good book. Oh and a bank account to pay for the internet that doesn't work.
