I have been away from the paintball scene for the last decade and needed some guidance. I went to the Velocity store to ask some questions and see how the sport has grown.
The staff there were awesome. They answered any questions I had without making me feel silly. The best part was after spending a half hour answering all my questions they asked for nothing in return, didn't try to sell me a marker I wasn't ready to buy or push any kind of sleazy membership on me.
I did end up buying some small stuff while there and was thankful for my experience. I am glad to see such a great store continue to thrive. I will definitely be returning there in the future.

Claimed to be open but wasn’t, even their “be back soon” sign was incorrect. Don’t advertise hours if you arnt gunnu keep them

This has been my go-to spot for years! David is always a great help every time I stop by and if they don’t have what I’m looking for, they’re more than happy to order it for me

Great prices and knowledgeable staff. David and Brian are always kind and helpful when I come in, and are able to answer all my questions and concerns. David always greets you when you walk through the door and makes you feel welcome, and actually takes his time and walks you through all the different choices and what would be the best fit for you. Their field has also came along way since I first started playing there in 1999. Very clean and well kept, and a huge emphasis on safety, which a lot of other fields seem to lack in. Once my kids are old enough to play, velocity will be the first place I will take them. Keep up the good work!

Went out to play at velocity with a few buddies and enjoyed it so I went to go buy a starter kit but didn't know where to begin. I played at their field and saw they had a shop. I went there and David was very knowledgable and was and walked me through different packages within my budget. I ended leaving with an empire mini and he recommended me with a jt mask as it is much easier to breathe in. I will definitely be going back thanks to David for all my paintball needs

David is awesome and helped me get a new pb gun after I haven't played for 15 years or so, but just now getting back into it. He gives honest opinions, knows his stuff and is super helpful. Will be my go to local store! Highly recommend!!!

Power tank, off road and 4x4 people this isn't your place. Stopped by 2/17/24 to fill my tank like I have 2 times before, had a sign on the door the employee is on break will be back 15-30 min. No problem everyone needs a break and or lunch. Maybe I had bad luck and they walked out right as I got there. nevertheless I waited over 40 mins. heres an idea put gone from a time to time, put gone for an hr, put the closed sign up so people don't wait. After the guy got back from his nap I head in to fill up my 10lb bottle. Sleepy head said we don't fill up bottles that size, I say that's not true since I have filled this bottle up twice before and you are the one who has filled it. He said he didn't know it was a 10lb bottle those times. So they can fill them but they choose not to from time to time, I'm not sure. All in all it's time I can't get back and won't be spending my money or recommend this place. Bummer because I like to support the smaller shops. Best of luck. Photo attached of past purchase of when they filled up my tank but can't now.

Good afternoon fellow money spenders! Our group of 15 has been super excited to find a paintball park to go to.I called in asking a question in reference to the rules regarding the paintballs and I was taken way back by how rude Denise the owner was to us about such a small question. We had a couple more questions but couldn't even get to them as we were berated and quite frankly uncomfortable immediately. I would highly recommend seeking elsewhere to not only spend your money but enjoy the experienceAnthony

So I've spent close to 1000 dollars on gear here in the past month getting back into the sport. Everything has been fine up until last weekend when I bought a pair of HK crash pad slider shorts. The pair was tagged as medium, I made a comment to the guy working there how i needed a medium when he suggested large, so my need for medium was clear and understood. He rings them up, I pay and leave to go play. I get to the field and throw them on and half way through the first game they are falling down on me. I go take them off and put them aside play the rest of the day without them. Later I find out they are actual Large/XL and were labeled wrong. I take them back to the shop same day and was told a exchange isnt possible because I wore them.I understand that you cant resell slider shorts, but when a customer comes in to buy a product it needs to be labeled correctly. I verbally told the guy I needed a medium and that I was going straight to the field. Now, I'm out 70 bucks and left with a bitter taste in my mouth. Wish I hadnt bought the other 930 dollars worth of gear there. Will order everything else off of amazon to avoid situations like this.EDIT TO RESPOND TO OWNERS COMMENT:I understand the concept of not being able to resell undergarments, but it was your store selling the product with the faulty tag, thus your responsibility to eat the cost, not your customer's and I did contact HK. They, predictably, told me it was your responsibility to issue the exchange. Perhaps you, as a retailer, would of had more luck getting them to send you a replacement than me as a lone consumer.

I was getting back into paintball after a 9 year hiatus. So I found myself frequenting this store a number of times over the last year. Every shopping experience has been great! Prices are reasonable and about on par with most online retailers. The staff has always been friendly, helpful, and respectful to me.When I need paint this is the only store I buy from. Decent variety/grades and fair pricing. All the paint they sell has performed exceptionally well.Their tank hydro process was quick and easy with good pricing.I needed to buy new forearm/elbow guards and knee pads and it was nice to be able to feel the soft goods in person, compare brands, and try them on.The Karnivor electro Autococker was always a gun I liked though I did not get to play with it much. Between practices and tournaments I was always shooting my Planet Eclipse EGO. So when the time came to bring the Karnivor out of storage I knew it needed some tuning to get dialed in. These guns are now worth between $1,500 and $2,000. I absolutely trusted the team at Velocity Paintball's Store to take care of my baby. They got her shooting awesome! As San Diego's only paintball store you should consider checking out Velocity Paintball's Retail Store before going online. The prices are good and their service is great!

Just walked in and wasn't even greeted. 2 guys behind the counter on theirs phones with no customers in the store. Literally walked in and walked out. Definitely felt unwelcome. I will not be returning and will sacrifice a trip to Modern Airsoft where the professional go.
