Poor Service.. Called for prices on a list of parts for my 65. Owner Peter never gets back and has been ghosting me. I get better Service from Mustang Shops on the East Coast. I prefer to keep my bussiness local but i can't deal with this type of business owner. There are so many horror stories on here maybe its a sign.

Do yourself a favor and run as far away from this shop as you can. My car sustained severe damage while at their shop and the owner (Peter Rogers) and their insurance company (Great American) are refusing to pay for the ($16k+!) in repairs. Their work is sub par and the basic repairs took months longer than expected. Peter always had some drama going on - worker turn over, couldn't get a part, another car needed to be prioritized, on and on it went. The shop is filthy, they are underinsured, and they apparently do not have the proper site security. I would not have used them but the repairs we came in for were minor, we were in a hurry, and he said it could be done quickly. My mistake. My attorney tells me they have a long history of legal claims against them, and more on the way! If you have a higher end car like I do, there are many better Ford specialty shop options in the north county. Good luck!

Contacted this shop for a gear swap quote on my 2003 GT Stang, and what a surprise I got. The contact person informed me he was the owner didn’t give his name but gave me a quote 2,400.00 and after informed him I had my own parts he went down to 2,000.00. He also seemed to not understand what I was explaining to him about the work I wanted done. Then he started thinking of parts to do the work and that his shop was very professional and they all were engineers, don’t believe you have to be an engineer to swap out rear gears just knowledgeable. I told him that I had gotten a couple more quotes from other shops for 550.00 and he told me they wouldn’t do the work correct and I would end up paying the amount he was charging anyway… so he told me to go ahead a get my work done at the other shops. I’m here expressing my thoughts that’s not the way to do business. Like I mentioned earlier giving him the benefit of the doubt he didn’t understand…So that scared me cause I don’t let anyone work on my Mustang, I have to research the intended shop. I highly would not recommend this shop.

If you like to get low quality work and attitude from their workers for a premium price, this is the place to go to!! Or better yet, if you like the feeling of being hustled, this is the place to go! Complete review. We took our mustang to address some issues listed below due to them being "mustang specialist." 1.New deck lid with match paint (was guaranteed it would match. Along with touch up paint for chips.) 2.Small tranny leak 3.EFI adjustment 4.New hood hinges 5.Alternator 1. Let's start with the deck lid. The paint did look close to a match but it was clear it was not. Furthermore, the new deck lid did not align very well. The vehicle has been in an accident before, I admit that, but it would not justify how far off their alignment was. I have before and after pics to show the difference. They can't even align a deck lid? We as non "Mustang specialists" did a much better job. Took to another paint shop, they too said it did not match. Also, there was a huge chip on hood not there previously. Told owner Peter, he denied everything. Claimed to have a picture with time stamp for proof to disprove our claim. Never saw that picture. 2. The tranny leak has appeared to be resolved at this point. Will it last? Time will tell. Or how long will it last is the question, rather. 3. EFI adjustment. The owner, Peter, claimed to be a Fitech dealer. And as it was explained to me by him, they have done many many many EFIs. Although he did not claim "expert," with experience alone they should be second to none. I think they did good here 4. New hood hinges. This appears to be done correctly however did not align well as with the deck lid. We will take OUR own time to do it correctly. 5. Alternator appears to be installed correctly PICK UP DAY: We got a text from the owner, Peter, that the vehicle was ready. Not important really but we were told it would be washed and detailed prior to pick up. It was very dirty. As we arrived to the shop, the battery was being charged due to dying for some unknown reason? In my opinion that's very suspect because this issue hasn't happened to us and we hardly even drive the car. "They don't know why the battery miraculously died." They claimed if it sits over a weekend the battery just dies. When we got the vehicle back, it sat for a week and fired right up. Point of this is it's another falsity told to us. Last note: To give you an idea of a premium price here is an example. I maybe should have listened to my instincts from the beginning. The very first day we met and spoke with the owner, Peter, we asked a very simple question. How much would you charge to simply pull a transmission and load it on our pick up. Nothing more. The answer $1,000. Going back a few weeks, we asked a local shop in Chula Vista the same question. There is a small shop in Chula Vista called Teds, that we have used in the past and continue to use for their quality work at a decent well deserved price. Their answer, $300. If you can't do the job right and charge a very premium price, that's ridiculous to me. The old adage "you get what you pay for" does not apply to the mustang shop. In fact not even remotely close. Peter seemed nice and knowledgeable but we should have trusted our instincts. If you've ever know someone in your life that's always "right" even when they're wrong, that's how I feel this place operates.

3 years later and work wasn't completed. Car had a fresh paint job when it was dropped off. Scrapes, dents, and scratches all around the car now. Parts that were on the car were removed and installed on other people's car. Everything is missing and damaged. Owner, Peter, wouldn't answer the phone or return phone calls. He doesn't care about his customers. He moved his location to national city and failed to tell me where my car was. I had to do my own investigation to locate it. The car is in worse shape now then when it was dropped off. Pictures to come. Avoid this place like the plague. Run!! If your car is there, go check on it.

It's such a nice autoshop to go to. They have so many different mustang cars being worked on! It's like a car museum! The staff is so nice and helpful! It doesn't matter what time we arrive during the work day, they are always eager to help you by taking their time to show you the details of how your cars would look with the variety of different colors in parts! Thanks for having such friendly staff! God bless

I called, they were quick to answer. Their websites states they work on any mustang including foxbody (years which is 1979-1993) to the modern s550s. But when I called I was told they only work on 73 and older, it's annoying that their website is misleading.

If you want to throw money away this is the place to do it. I paid $350.00 for an "180 point inspection" that was supposed to take a week. After 2 weeks I called and was told someone would call me back. A week later I called again and was told to email Peter which I did. A week later I called again and the guy said he didn't know why Peter didn't call me back and said he would give him the message. I emailed again, no response. A few days later I showed up at the shop to get my car and the guy behind the desk left the office and didn't come back. He had someone pull my car out front in the street and left it running. I asked another guy, what about my $350.00 180 point inspection? He said, oh you didn't get that? He then went over to a clipboard and handed me some papers with circles on them. He told me my horn didn't work that well and I had a tail light out. I paid $350.00 for that. What a joke. Avoid this place at all costs. Peter talks a good game to get you in and take your money but you get nothing in return. Apparently good mustang repair shops know about this place. I am very sorry I didn't.

Called and asked about getting a quote on my 2008 GT500 was told they only work on 64 1/2 to 73 mustangs but that's not what is reflected on their webpage not by other reviews obviously, they need to update their web page if that's the case. Disappointed to say the least.

About 2 months ago they did a front and rear suspension on my 65 mustang. The car rides fantastic. The shop manager Ryan was very professional and knowledgable. I was very pleased with the quality of the work. I plan on returning to this shop.
