I brought my car here for an estimate. Unfortunately, I decided to not go with the fix and decided I would just get rid of my car.
However, they were so professional and they were reasonable. The estimate they gave me I felt like was a reasonable amount I just wanted to get myself into a new car. I would highly recommend this place to anyone based on their customer service alone. If I ever need my car worked on, I will 1000% go to Smittys.

Smitty's is really worthy of the high reviews. In every way possible they are completely different from the standard San Diego mechanic experience.
Starting with the comprehensive diagnostics that go into surprising detail. The turnaround time is shockingly fast, they must work like a pitcrew. Everyone there is helpful and to the point. They never tell you about a service without explaining exactly why they think you need it, and what's going to happen within a time-frame. As for the prices, always within the standard market rate, or sometimes better. The oil changes for example, are much cheaper than valvoline, and they won't try to sell you fuel injection service etc. you don't need.

Love Smittys. They’re the local neighborhood auto shop that provides great service for a very good price that you’ve always wanted. They really go the extra mile to provide a positive experience for customers, and they’ve saved me hundreds compared to what I had to pay at my dealership.

I was blown away by the 700+ almost perfect reviews for this place but after going in for a flat that required a tire replacement, I can say it is 100% deserved. The service was great, no upcharges that you would typically get anywhere else, and they were able to turn my car around in a day. This place is hands down the best repair shop I've ever gone to.

Smitty’s is great. They offered me coffee when I was checking in then gave me a ride home while I waited for my car to be worked on. They’ve been doing this for years. Four generations. And it shows. They broke down what needed to be done to my 14 year old Honda as well as what could be put off till next time. Highly recommend.

LOVE SMITTY'S SERVICE❣️ The employees are knowledgeable and friendly, and I always feel like they care about me and my vehicle. The software system they have, which helps you triage your auto repair needs, is amazing! There are hyperlinks to videos that explain why the suggested service is necessary and the pros and cons of the service too!! I will always trust my car to Smitty's!!!! ❣️❣️❣️

Hands down a place that is honest, professional, friendly. I will even do my oil change here from now on. Everyone I interacted with was so polite and respectful. So glad I found this shop, takes the stress out of dealing with name-brand shops that will take advantage of you. You will not feel that way here. Thanks to Mike and staff!

I went in with a slew of issues for my car and they absolutely crushed it. The work is beyond quality and the pricing is fantastic. They were quick with the inspection and repairs (ready same day!). They will be my go-to repair shop from now on. You're in good hands with the Smitty's team!

Although they were personable and we appreciated their free ride service, I was utterly aghast at paying over 800 dollars for a new splash shield- a cheap 50 dollar piece of plastic. I understand that it takes time and labor to install, but online estimates for the same part and labor are not even half that price. I feel extremely embarrassed for being taken advantage of by a shop that we used to trust and will not patronize again in the future.

The service seems fine, can’t really verify because I only had a couple oil changes. Many little annoyances along the way, no Amex, fibbed about repairing a tire, will not install your own parts.
Totally their prerogative, but I won’t be back.

I'd give 6 starts if I could. I was so thrilled to get referred to a place that has such good customer service and trustworthy mechanics. As a woman I've been taken advantage of when mechanics don't think I can understand various situations with my car. I feel so much better now that I am treated with respect and helped to make the best decision for me without getting ripped off. Great prices and absolutely fantastic staff. I cannot find another mechanic outside of a dealership that provides a shuttle home. Did I mention they give you coffee when you arrive in the morning to drop off the car? I can't recommend them enough.
