Gym is spacious and nice, even on crowded days there is space to breath, pool is nice too warm and never too cold although only had swimmers eyes from this pool.

I've been coming to this location for a little over a year now and the Id just like to take a moment and appreciate the cleaning staff for keeping it so damn tidy all the time! I love me a clean environment and at Jackie Robinson Ymca they sure do keep up to par! Another squat rack would be nice though since theres only two and they are usually occupied. Great selection of weights though.

They are amazing! We have been stuck at home with flood damages and horrible mold smells when my apartments were not able to provide us with shelter but everyone else that was in the flood got hotel rooms and whatever reason they have we didnt get one … YMCA , they were able to provide us with a hotel and other resources. When i gave up they came to me like an angel ? our family really appreciate’s everything they are doing for us !

The lady on the weekend stole $100 from me and never signed up my son for the sport he was excited to start playing. She said I couldn’t pay card because the other lady that does the card payments wasn’t there until Monday. Of course, I didn’t have time for all that due to work, so I was then told I can pay in cash which I did there and then. This was when I went months ago (November) and they said he starts on January. Bummer but at least he’s got that to look forward to.. Then I noticed with time that I never received an email with confirmation like she said I would, and when January comes & I called to ask when he starts, they told me he wasn’t even on the list! Total disappointment. I remembered she gave me a paper and I saved it in my car, but when I found it and unfolded it, I realized that it was JUST A FLYER. She made me believe I would get confirmation on my email which I never did & I don’t have proof I even paid it. Not unless they go through the cameras, but they ain’t trying to do all that.This is a warning that there is a thief working here on weekends, DONT GO HERE, try a different place for sure.

It doesn't have enough machines and the air doesn't work because it's very hot. and gone to other locations and very well

Spectacular state of the art facility with as many machines, weights, and classes as you could possibly need. The facility was very well maintained and the young man at the front desk was courteous toward us visiting from out of town. Our YMCA membership was easily found and accepted...we are thankful for the great customer service he provided. Highly recommend this YMCA if in San Diego!

The facility itself is adequate. It seems to be regularly cleaned at least. It's smaller than other San Diego Y's and doesn't offer all the amenities of the larger Y's but at a basic level it does the job.However, I have to agree with other reviewers of this Y, the customer service (entry & front desk) in the mornings is awful. They are not helpful at all and quite often the employees in these areas, their attitudes border on arrogance. I find it to be truly comical. They lack knowledge about the YMCA's published policies & shouldn't be in a customer contact position at all. Additionally, Jackie Robinson Y, seems to have as many days when its closed or "closing early" as to days when it's fully open. But its one of the cheaper Y's in San Diego and you get what you pay for.

Worst customer service ever. They have an issue that they need to close the pool for around 2 weeks. I only pay my membership for my kids using the pool but we have to stop using that because of their issue. I asked to extend or refund my membership for those 2 weeks. Then they said they cannot do that. That meant I lost money for my 2 weeks family membership. It's so stupid, doesn't make sense to me. Why they could do that . I paid my membership for a month but can use only half month. Super stupid customer service. No more membership here.....

My kids love the sports programs, the building is always an ideal temperature. It's clean and a moderately quiet environment. Would Definitely recommend

Customer service is straight garbage. Their supposed to have knowledge of their own policies and procedures. They change a part of my account without proper authorization. Gave a different price than was told. Charged for the wrong price and process for refund is longer than any standard company. YMCA cost more than all other big name gyms but they had behind the 501(c)3 "non-profit". They are worse than big name gyms.

I'll let you know after I receive the service I came to utilize. But overall, the ladies at the desk are very friendly and the layout in here is beautiful. There's also a gym on the second floor. I'm going to take a look around since I arrived early to my appointment
