Almost 7 years later I am back at this dealership. After months of contemplating about getting a new vehicle, I am a new owner of a 2025 HRV Sport in Platinum White Pearl. This time I was helped by Joe Yacub & Sales Manager Kobe.
I am beyond grateful for their understanding because it was a difficult decision trading in my Civic as it had sentimental value since I got it new at 16 while in high school, had it during college, and even until now. They did not force me to make a decision the day I went in and test drove the HRV. They allowed me to fully think and process what was happening. I was really firm on it as I was not an impulsive person and could’ve easily opted to keeping my Civic as it was payed off. Not to mention the new vehicle would be my responsibility as my parents helped me get my Civic at 16.
I did also go to a few Honda dealerships in the area and either the sales person was pushy or they weren’t willing to give me a good number on my trade or was trying to do a credit check and show me high APR when I knew I will qualify for a lower interest.
Kobe was the one who helped with the deal including my trade. He was very transparent. Two days after my test drive at DCH I contacted Joe who helped process the deal before going into finance with Derek.
Experiencing the same customer satisfaction from the first time I felt reassured to choose DCH again.

I bought my very first car here (2017 Honda Civic EX-T) about 2 weeks ago and the buying experience was the best. Unlike other dealerships they actually had the car color and the interior color that I wanted. Alex Valasquez was super friendly explaining everything about the car as well as getting us the best deal. We weren’t pressured at all to buying a car, unlike other dealerships we went to. They also worked with us because I was really set on the Turbo and other dealerships wanted me to go down to an EX but I had my mind set on the Turbo. All in all I’m super happy with my car and DCH name is totally true.

I unfortunately had a not-so-great experience today at DCH Honda MV. I brought in my car to sell, and after bringing it in, Koby goes to check my odometer then comes back in saying, “Thanks for leaving us no gas.” To which I respond, “You’re welcome..?” Because…what? The lack of professionalism is already oozing off of this guy. Then he proceeds to ask me how many keys I have to which I tell him I only have one (literally only received one key when purchasing this car). He then shakes his head in disappointment and says, “Wow. No gas and one key. Thanks a lot.” After that, he proceeds to call me lazy after I tell him I didn’t go to another dealership for another quote because I don’t have time as I’m moving out of state in less than 12 hours. He then calls me “spicy” because I stood up for myself and tells me he’s “matching my energy”. Is that in your employee conduct book - to match a 23 year old girls energy? I have genuinely never dealt with a more passive aggressive, egotistical, unprofessional and discourteous working “professional” in my life. Management honestly did not seem fazed or to even care when I brought this situation up. If Koby happens to embody the attitude and values of the rest of your team, I would start reevaluating who exactly you represent as a company. Cole, on the other hand, was extremely professional and made this entire weird process less uncomfortable. Honestly, if I wasn’t leaving to go back home (where I recently lost everything in the Maui wildfires) I would have walked out and taken my car elsewhere. Do better. Or don’t, you’ll only lose more customers.

I had the terrible experience of getting my 2016 Honda Civic's Air conditioning replaced here. A repair that was under warranty for a recall covering the condenser and shaft seal, they upsold me on the replacement of the evaporator initially quoting me $2500, after being unable to reach my service rep who also tried to upsell me on replacing my rear brakes (unknown why they were looking at my brakes when I asked for my AC to be fixed) I spoke to the Service Manager. Speaking with the Service Manager, William, he stated that my quote "was too high" and brought it down to $1550. They repaired the AC system which then subsequently broke 2 days later. When I took it back, they said it was the "blower motor" which was then repaired free of charge, making me strongly believe that the original cause of this issue was the blower motor and they took the opportunity to throw in the evaporator and make some cash. As this is my first Honda, and after hearing about their "reputation for reliability", I am extremely disappointed that within a weeks time, I had so many parts break. I would highly recommend taking your business to any other location and not waste your time here. This is my first time interacting with a Honda Dealership and I will NEVER bring my car back.

Was helped by Cole and Johnny, two delightful fellows who were more than happy to answer any questions I had. In addition to being accurate and quick with the information on their inventory, they also offered fair deals that made sense to both the consumer and the dealership. Personable staff and good products!

I bought a new Honda Fit from them in 2020 and parts of the car didn't work. Every time I took the car in for oil changes, tire rotations, new tires, etc I always had something bad happen. Either they wouldn't call to tell me it was fixed, or they'd take 4hrs to change my tires out, or they'd say they fixed something but didn't. I do not trust these guys to do 100% of the work, and for that I blame management. I know those workers are probably short-staffed and doing the best they can, and I blame management for doing that to them. I would tell anyone I know to avoid this place like the plague. I regret buying my car from them. I should have shopped around or something.

I paid for coolant exchange service on June 8th. On June 26th, I had my front brakes serviced at honda Chula Vista and they stated in writing that the coolant had not been replaced. DCH honda charged me for a service that they did not perform. I may be at risk in my car now that its summer time.

I’ll start off by saying I was told it was gonna be a two hour wait and I ended up waiting over four hours. This was just to inspect a recall that didn’t even need to be replaced. Secondly I’d like to say that the first time I came in with a freshly waxed and washed car they gave me a car wash without telling me and ruined the wax. So this time I show up with a dirty car because they told me they gave car washes and after that I come back to my dirty car after they told me they gave me a car wash.
