Citibank is a joke I received a check from a insurance settlement due to my vehicle getting struck it was a farmers computer generated check. I went to the Pacific Beach Citibank to cash said check my bank is not local unfortunately and out of the 30 whatever branches of Citibank in the city of San Diego North County East County, South Bay and beaches, they have one location in city Heights that will cash a check for a nonmembers and of course the hours for that location are different than the other branches in San Diego and closed on the weekends. So now I have to go after work Monday before 5 PM to city Heights in the middle of the worst part of the day for traffic to cash the check because the one that's half a mile from my house doesn't cash checks for non-account holders. And they are very rude about it. Also after I get this check cashed, I will never ever ever in my life ever deal with Citibank ever again and as you can see from yelp their star rating is pretty bad for a reason.

The worst most confused, but inept bank (and employees) I have ever been in. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Their online service is worse. And forget calling their help line. No one knows what is going on there either!! Worst bank in the world. Which is why even their manager banks at Chase!!!

I am leaving a 1 star review for Citi in general. The review is not about this specific location though.I have been using 2 credit cards by Citi for about 2 years. Recently Citi decided to close my accounts saying I am a risky customer.First I thought this must be a mistake because I have always paid off the balance and never had any debt on my cards because I was using them only to get cashback.And then I realized that could be the real reason why. Because they will not make any money off of me as I pay off everything quickly and they cannot charge any interest. They just decided to get rid off me without any heads-up.Guess what? I will never use Citi again and will not recommend them to anyone.I have Amex cards and they are the best. If you are looking for a RELIABLE credit card then go with Amex.

The worst bank I ever used in my life. This bank has horrible customer support and they are extremely discriminatory. They have blocked my card over 7 times this week to the point where I can't even use it at all anymore because they don't have anymore verification options anymore. This is one of the most unethical and immoral organizations I have ever encountered. I do not recommend anyone to waste their time with this horrible bank or any of their horrible products. Shame on you Citibank.

I came in to this branch today to pay my Credit Card because it was due today & I was in from out of town. I was like how convenient, I'll pay with a $100 Bill & for some Strange Reason this bank doesn't accept U.S. Currency. What's the Deal? It has Ben Franklin's Face on it, I'm in the U.S.A. (Right???) So why not take U.S. Currency @ a Bank?? In closing, I will be a former customer soon. I can't do Business with a Bank that doesn't accept U.S. Currency as a form of payment for a Bill inside the Branch. The Dumbest thing since the Dinosaurs went Bye Bye!!

Opened a checking account a month ago online and never received my bank card so today decided to go in and see if I could get one directly from them the teller that assisted me at first was nice (I can't remember his name) so I couldn't remember the pin for the bank card that I never got in the mail because I mean well I never got it in the mail so over came this older man bank teller with glasses (didn't get his name either wish I would have paid more attention to his name tag) who I thought came to help out but instead glanced at the screen and looking annoyed asked me why I didn't remember the pin for the card I NEVER Got in the mail I told him I never received it which is why I was there to begin with and he looked at the screen again and told me in a really rude tone as if he basically was calling me an idiot "well of course you never received it you just opened the account online today it's 6/28/17 that's today's date obviously you won't get a card today if you just now ordered it" I then told him that it was JULY 28,2017 Not June it has literally been a month! He looked puzzled and didn't even apologize for his behavior I didn't feel to welcomed at this bank anymore so I decided Citi was just not going to be for me. This teller was extremely rude to me and he made my first experience here very uncomfortable I was recommended this Bank by a friend but after this incident I decided to just leave and didn't even finish activating my account I'm currently over at UNION BANK just a block away so far they have been more then happy to assist me.

I recently had occasion to use your Citibank Pacific Beach office located at 1910 Garnet Ave., 92109. Everyone, including the manager, were engaging and ready to help with financial problems. I was directed to personal banker, Justin Whaling who patiently listened to my problem, (coming with a 16 year old Illinois Citibank account) and solved how to continue my Citibank experience out here in California. He answered all my questions and helped me navigate banking in CA. I am honestly impressed and am so happy I bank at Citibank! Thank you Justin Whaling, my personal banker. I plan to stay with Citibank. You seem to hire the right folks who are engaging and thoughtful. Knowing I can get help at Citibank really makes a senior feel welcome.
