Just had MTA out to service a couple of our Aeron chairs. They were responsive, professional, informative, and, well... nice. The gentleman who came and serviced our chairs was really accommodating to our office environment and making sure it didn't get messed up or dirty in any way. He worked on the chairs outside. He was courteous and made sure we were using the chairs right, even after he fixed them. Really happy with the service we received!

I needed an older Herman Miller chair repaired so called Herman Miller and was referred to Miles Treaster in the Sacramento area. I was told to send over pictures of the chair and did so. Their email system couldn't accept the files and so after a week of my persistence and changing the format of the pictures, they finally agreed to send their repair guy to my office to check it out. He was very nice and told me that he thought it would be very expensive and probably a better idea to buy a new one. I called the offices to get a quote on a new version of the same chair. I've seen it online for about $3K so I expected it to be in the same range. When they answered the phone they insisted I talk to the sales person who handled our account 7 years ago and who had never followed up with me. I eventually went into their 'showroom' and was told that it's actually their offices and would need a salesperson to escort me. When the salesperson came to greet me, his first comment (with a scowl) was "And who are you?" My overall experience with this company was horrible. Almost everyone I talked to, was rude or just didn't give a damn about a sale. I will be buying this chair, but I will go to the City and buy from a company that cares about making a sale. Update: I took the broken chair to a welder and he fixed it for $10! ;)

I don't think they'll particularly appreciate this review, as I believe this is a company that deals primarily with businesses. However, I needed an office chair for my home office, and they gave me an appointment to come down and look in their showroom. They don't have a large selection in-house, but can order more than what they show. Anyway, the person who helped me was extremely nice, helpful, and patient. She spent at least 30 minutes with me, despite the fact that she knew ahead of time that I was just looking that day (and needed only a single chair). After trying several chairs, she gave me a written price quote on the one I liked the best. I tried chairs at two other places, and decided to buy the one I liked at MTA. I emailed my order information (called to give my credit card #), and the chair was drop shipped from the manufacturer about 3 weeks later. It didn't hurt that their price was the lowest I could find anywhere locally or online (even including no sales tax at online sites). It was a great experience. I don't think they cater to individuals (though I could be wrong), but they treated me like a valued customer nonetheless. I highly recommend them.
