For a specialty cardiac ICU, the level of care has been borderline negligent, with no accountability for repeated communication failures among the nursing staff, particularly Laura and House Supervisor Lisa. Today, they intentionally placed a grieving family member in a small office with six other nurses, seemingly to intimidate and dismiss the family’s concerns. The only care provided has been by the nursing staff, as doctors have been unavailable, leading to delayed treatment that has caused cardiac tissue death, specifically under Dr. Singh’s oversight.
Both Dr. Singh and Dr. Patel have referred to the patient in harmful and dismissive ways. For example, Dr. Singh stated, “If you don’t take care of your health, why should I?” The revascularization of the heart was delayed, and now the patient appears to be trending toward multi-organ failure.
In my opinion, this level of care has been dangerous. How does a patient suffer a fall while under 1:1 supervision, especially with a high-risk recalled Impella device known for complications such as heart perforation? How does a 1:1 patient require massive blood transfusions following a fall they reported themselves? Additionally, nurses have consistently misreported data without understanding or analyzing the patient’s condition systematically.
My father has been in this hospital for a month, and only upon his admission did a cardiac doctor speak to the family. The intensivist, Dr. Campbell, refused to come to the unit to address signs of borderline sepsis and renal damage, despite clear changes in the patient’s condition. The hospital also refused to transfer the patient and, within the first week of his stay, recommended palliative care.
The failure in the duty of care will result in further complications for all involved. The nursing care has inflicted emotional and physical harm, and I am prepared to testify under penalty of perjury that everything I have stated is true to the best of my knowledge.

I had a very bad experience at the ER. When I asked questions about what medication shot they were giving me, the nurse named Amy gave me attitude and acted very bothered. Extremely unprofessional behavior. I was even scared to ask for water in fear that the nurses and staff would get mad at me. Every nurse and medical provider I talked to or witnessed were simply trying to shuffle patients in and out, rushing everyone. I will not be returning to this emergency room and do not suggest it to anyone.

They killd my father Unintentionally. Mistakes where made and he declined as soon as he got to this hospital. I hope they look at his case amongst themselves and learn. Learn that when someone is a alcoholic. They should be getting some type of treatment for that. If both sides of the heart need stints. And you can only do one side. Maybe you should leave it alone if its still beating. He also had pneumonia, that should of been treated first before touching his heart. Yes i am mad... yes i understand his heart had problems and was not pumping optimally. But it was pumping and it was not stopping. He went in there with needing medical management. As soon as they touched his heart. It was all down hill from there. They took his heart out of balance and it truly stop working the way it should. Honestly i wish he would of been sent to Sutter instead. He might of still been here with me.

Horrible horrible! About a year ago while my at the time pregnant girlfriend was visiting due to and emergency and needed a ultrasound. One of the workers was escorting us back to the main lobby when I slipped on a pack of the ultrasound gel and fell super hard. At the time they took my statement and looked me over to make sure I wasn't in any immediate pain or injured. Being more worried about my girlfriend we moved on. They said if i feell any pain soon to come back a few weeks later I came back with lower back pain and tingling in the leg. They said they have no recored of the incident. I then went back a few .months later when I finally got insurance and I had to pay out of pocket just for the doctor to say you just need to stretch after telling them what hurts and how I think it happened. Everything I mention I fell there they get upset and blow it off. I then spoke with and lady in the administration office. She had me write a statement and said risk management is the only one that have access to incident reports that's being some special system and that somone would call me that day. No one ever reached out and to this day I've been trying to contact somone just to get voicemails and no response. Horrible!!

My dad checked in for surgery, had surgery and was admitted for a few days and the whole experience was very good. The rooms are nice, the nurses and doctors were accommodating. The hospital is very nice , the cafeteria is good. The parking is not very good, you have to pay to park in the back or valet. For us we wanted to come and go often so valet was not the best option. I'm a hospital registered nurse and I thought the whole experience overall was good. I recommend Mercy.

Aaron Bongonga was rude inconsiderate. To the fact he was mumbling under his breath made me and my brother feel unwanted to stay at the hospital in his care..

Aaron bugon displayed discriminatory behavior, insisting that I leave because of visiting hours. He made derogatory comments, implying that I wasn't capable of taking care of my brother. And he can take care of his self.. and told me I can go wait in the waiting room for visiting hours to come back around or go home like he was planning to do something to my brother..I found it weird for them to ask someone to leave they family in the hospital that is inconsiderate in a time that is uncertain..

There are a million things that were going on when I spent a few days at this hospital while my fiancé was here but let me just say the only reason this is 5 stars and not 3 is because our RN Hilary(neuro). That woman took such great care when looking after my fiancé. She was patient and listened and cared for every need we had. The other nurses were fine (mostly) but that woman.. went above and beyond. Thank you so much Hilary! We truly cannot express our gratitude enough for how you looked after us. God bless you. ?

They need to hire more nurses and doctors they have me wait for 5 hours for paperwork. I respect the doctors and nurses there but yes they are very short staffed not able to help people when needed! I would go to sutter first even kaiser if you have an emergency

The issues I had were no fault of the staff. The nurses were great, caring and had great bedside manors, both dr.s that treated me Tuesday and Thursday afternoon were great so was there team in the recovery rooms the transportation team was friendly. The hospital manager Cassandra was very sweet, the hospital Chaplin was great.. The nurse that stuck out the most was nurse Sia I just love her she was extremely kind and compassionate she also reminded me of the kindergarten teacher that all 3 of my kids had. Im happy to go home, but sad because I'm leaving this kind staffed hospital

I was recently sent to Mercy Hospital in Sacramento for some neurological testing.Though my experience was not all negative, I have to report this as one of the most difficult of my life.
While most of the staff were helpful and pleasant, the doctor in charge of my care was at best “brusque” with little compassion for my situation. I am admittedly not familiar with this type of testing but it was to my mind brutal. Deprivations of various types were the “easy” part, but I cannot go for days without showering or changing my clothing! After three days of this I realized that I was becoming ill and asked my husband to fetch me. I was denied a release by the doctor! When I got home I had a UTI, was vomiting and had diarrhea. I cannot recommend the department at this hospital.
