The branch itself isn’t the best, they are chronically tardy when it comes to opening times. However, Yuni has always made applying for a loan and opening student bank account a breeze. She is very informative and polite. One concern I have is regarding the office hours. Working class people are not available Mon.-Fri. 10 am - 5 pm. This makes it impossible to deposit money or schedule appointments.

This is the worst branch of golden one, they are never stuffed, never really helpful in general. Their card machine is down for two weeks already. Also, Paul is absolutely disaster, he ruined my credit score I think it was on purpose. I told him that I don’t have my driver license and he knew that I will automatically denied for car loan so why didn’t he say anything? So he still run a credit check and wow I was denied, my credit score dropped drastically. Thank you for that!! He was asking about my ethnicity and when I said I’m Ukrainian he had huge smirk on his face so something tells me it was not coincidence. Well it’s definitely time to change bank for me! I had enough!!

There was an issue with the card they mailed me. So I was required to go into a branch... except they printed a card with an issue on the expiration date this time. Now the card machine doesn't work but it's okay they can mail one in 5 to 7 days. Or I can go to another branch. I just want my debit card to work. Why is it so hard to use my own account?

I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration regarding the experience I had at your branch yesterday. I encountered a situation that left me feeling disrespected and unfairly treated by one of your bank tellers.
During my visit, I presented a check for deposit, which was met with an accusation from the teller that it appeared forged. This accusation was made in a manner that implied wrongdoing on my part, which was deeply upsetting and unwarranted. The teller further suggested that your "system" might not be working properly, as if to deflect responsibility for the situation.
As a customer of Golden 1 Credit Union for 12 YEARS I have always valued the service and trustworthiness that your institution prides itself on. However, this incident has shaken my confidence in the professionalism and respect with which customers are treated.
I would appreciate a thorough investigation into this matter and an explanation as to why such baseless accusations were made. Additionally, I expect assurance that steps will be taken to prevent similar occurrences in the future, ensuring that all customers are treated fairly and respectfully.

I had a bank account with Golden 1 CU years ago. Golden 1 HQ shut down my account without talking to me over the phone for my witness account. This branch accused me of giving out my routing and account number. However, Golden 1 does not have any proof that I gave away my banking details. This is proof that Golden 1 is working together with the scammers, and not for the benefit of us clients. A scammer hacking my banking app and depositing a fraudulent check is not proof of any violation of policy. I repeat: I never violated any Golden 1 policy. Golden 1 never submitted any of my text message conversations with said scammer, nor do they have access to that. Where's your proof, Golden 1??? You closed my account without proof that indicates I committed wrongdoing. To avoid their own responsibilities, Golden 1 closed my account. The way they really screwed me over is that they declined my reinstatement and my letter. Even if Golden 1 begged me to come back to cover this up, I would reject them. Golden 1 supports scammers and hackers by screwing over their own clients. TL;DR: Do NOT bank with Golden 1.

Horrible customer service directly from the Branch Manager Damion! My father left a very sentimental hat at this branch a few weeks ago. I had called customer service and they told me that they were connected with somebody at this branch and was informed that the hat was indeed at the branch.
I went inside the branch a day after and spoke to a representative named Yunuen, who was kind enough to check and see if the hat was there. She couldn’t find it, but she said that she would call me back after she speaks to her manager. She gave me a card and told me to leave a message on extension 3373 but nobody ever called me back. One week goes by and no callback.
So today, I went to the branch and spoke to the Branch Manager Damion to ask if the hat was there. He offered to check for me as he was sitting in his desk. I stepped away and waited a few minutes and went back and asked when he will check. The branch manager sternly and rudely looked at me and said I am in the middle of something right now. I will check in a few minutes and turned away. He then came back out and told me that he “supposedly” checked the vault which probably took 20 seconds as I watched him go into the back room.
Bottom line, the level of service, tone and approach that the Branch Manager Damion provided to me was unacceptable and insulting. Granted, I looked like a “bum” today but little does he know, I’m a working professional woman just like him and my income bracket probably exceeds his. I don’t appreciate being treated any less than a human being. Anyone in an authoritative position should be competent to understand the importance of customer service, especially if you’re managing an asset. I’m glad I don’t bank at Golden One and I will convince my father to switch banks too.
In the meantime, someone needs to provide this unfit Manager with a thorough training in leadership and customer service. I will definitely be contacting the GM regarding my experience.

Today is Friday and it’s 2:30 PM.. there is one bank teller + one “in training” and the line of customers is almost out the door. Please hire more people to adequately serve the needs of your community. You are the only G1 hub open in Natomas at the moment, so please do netter.

Why does this place even exist? Office hours say Mon - Friday from 10 - 5. Normal people work till at least 5 or 5:30. Can't access all my funds online because they like to set limits. Why is there a limit on MY money? And now I have to deal with their limited hours? Time to move on to a better bank.

We didn't have an appointment but scanned the QR and was helped within half hour. Didn't catch the bankers name but he was very kind. We had gone earlier to the one in west sac and the assistant branch manager would not let us scan the QR code. 5 stars for Arena branch and 0 ,ZERO for west sac assistant manager

Unfortunately once they closed down the other South Natomas location, all business came to this location. Long lines, end of month payday are expected. Don't they think to staff appropriately? Or is that not part of the business plan. Do better.
