Short wait on the phone, and customer service was very clear and easy to work with. Off to a good start with these folks.

Worst people ever. That shut my water off unknowing, when I called to see why my water was off they couldn't tell me why. I called for two days when the woman told me to go check my own meter. I am 8 months pregnant with a hight risk pregnancy and she wants to go out in the heat and do their job. Didn't know which meter was mine. Very unprofessional, very inconsiderate, and do not take accountability for their mix-ups. We need another water source option in Ridgecrest. As I see I am not the only customers with problems with this company

Always great service! Two of the best customer reps are Bernadette & Isabel. Outstanding service, no matter what the issue. Give the women a raise!

The employees are extremely unprofessional and rude. Trying to conduct business with them over the phone isn’t as convenient as I’d like. The way they handle situations in regards to making payment arrangements is contingent upon who you speak with. This company makes things very difficult to when it comes to their flexibility on payment options.

Purchased a house in their district and 1 business day after I close they shut my water off while I was moving in. Then they charged me $20 for the pleasure of not having water while stuck at home with Covid. Can’t even go to the bathroom thanks to them.Oh yeah, and if you are going to spend money on an ad campaign to conserve water, consider charging on volume of water usage instead of flat fees for the every consumer. Using 3x your water volume doesn’t significantly increase the bill, but the replenishment fees do. No matter if you use 10 gallons or 10,000,000 gallons like some of the pistachio farms, you pay that stupid fee.At least the customer service rep I spoke to on the phone was nice to me while they bent me over the barrel.

They were very nice and explained everything that they needed to do so we were well informed before they proceeded, and they did an amazing job replacing our sewer pipes ♡ no more back ups♡♡

It's 2021, how is autopay not an option? Intentional maybe? Seems like an effective way to ensure that more people don't pay their bills on time, leading to a steady stream of late fees. Shameful.

We changed banks and updated this info on our online account. We received a notice two months later stating that we should have sent in a cancelled check instead. Now they have cancelled our auto pay for six months. Their system is outdated and the customer service is ridiculous.

Horrible customer service. They will blame anyone but themselves when a mistake is made and give lots of attitude when confronted on it. Do not care for customers knowing they will be paid regardless of how they treat people.

Visiting my folks and they had an issue with a valve at the street that meant I couldn’t repair some stuff. A guy from the water company was there within 30 minutes even though it wasn’t an emergency.
After that issue was resolved he spent an extra couple minutes pointing out how to solve some of the leak issues in the yard. Above and beyond. And super friendly.
And on Christmas Eve, no less.

They’re giving conflicting information on contamination and safety issues. We don’t have any choice as to who provides our water. The very least they could do would be to be honest with their customers.

I have never had a worse experience with a utility company. We had no issues for 2 years, then when we moved, they billed us for using 10 times the normal amount of water. According to the Indian Wells Valley Water District, during our last month in our home we used 81,000 gallons of water. That's pretty much impossible for a family of 3. Of course we disputed it, lawyered up and tried to fight it, but in the end they won. They had their people check the meter and tested and of course it works just fine. So then we move on to having to pay them. We spoke with them and set up a payment plan to pay it off over a period of 5 months. When any normal person hears the words payment plans they assume automatically that it's automated. With these people it is not. So when we missed the second payment and spoke to them they informed us that a payment plan is just a promissory note saying that we will pay them back but it's not automated because according to them legally they can't do that (pretty sure that's a lie). So I took the time out of my day to go in and make the third payment, then on the fourth payment they informed me that their payment plan only applies to three payments at a time and that I needed to come in and sign another payment plan for the remaining two payments. I politely informed them that my family and I were already out of town for the Thanksgiving holiday and would be able to do so when he got back. They had finally established making payments through their website so we went and paid them half of the remaining amount online and waited until the last month to make the final payment. Flash Forward to yesterday when we still had plenty of time to make the last payment and they sent us to collections. Who the hell sends you to collections for $85? Between the online payment and sending us to collections they never made an attempt to contact me or my wife. And when we did call them on the phone to speak to them about it this morning they were unbelievably rude, accepted our final payment and we are now waiting to see if they take us out of collections or if they just forget to do that as well. With such a small community as ours here in the Kern Valley I expect more from the Indian Wells Valley Water District, as they have a monopoly over water services. The way we were treated as customers was completely unprofessional and clearly there's some issue with their system or with their employees.
