I got charged $804 for a quick 10 mins chat with the doctor, 2 whole months after the visit. The bill included a ridiculous $675 for the new patient office visit and $129 for the visit itself. The doctor simply suggested some over the counter medicines. Why such a high new patient fee when One Medical members already have records in their system which any providers can already access. It does not make any sense. The worst part is that they did not inform me of the charges before or even right after the service. This is misleading and a downright deceiving practice.

Very stupid and surprising charge. 300+ (already after discount, etc) for a visit with low complexity. I got a worse injury and was sent to emergency care and only ended up paying 200+. This one medical charges much more by doing much less work.

I was feeling a little week/had a sore throat and wanted to check in with my PCP, who wasn’t available so I met with a Minnie Vo (PA).That being said, the visit was less than 15minutes to which she said “it could be COVID, it could be just a cold.” All she did was check my throat and blood pressure. When I was checking out, they said I didn’t owe anything for the visit. Today, a month later, I got hit with a $550+ bill visit. I find it extremely inappropriate that I got charged for a regular visit/check up. Do not recommend going here, you’re better off going somewhere else or researching it online, as that was basically her recommendation for me - COVID vs a cold is VERY different. Will not be back here, and strongly considering closing my account with one medical.

First off, $200/yr for access to an app so you can send messages to your physician and make appts is insane. This is not specific to this location but to the broader company. Additionally, I did not feel my concerns were addressed. I scheduled the appt because I had alarming symptoms and wanted to have tests done and talk through possible explanations. I was rushed through discussing my concerns, which felt like they were dismissed, and I didn't feel like the tests performed adequately assessed what might be going on internally. Perhaps it would have been better if I waited for an MD to see me, rather than settling for a PA/NP with a sooner appt. Regardless, I went to this location as it was one of few that accepted my insurance, but needless to say I will be looking elsewhere for future doctor visits, and I suggest you do the same.

I am so impressed by the entire organization, staff and process of One Medical Services! From the friendly staff (Jovanny) to the extremely professional Doctor Jessica; I truly felt at ease! They really know how to make their customers feel welcomed, important and valued. The facility was extremely clean and inviting. Lady T was exceptional and made me feel so comfortable! She is amazing and I can tell very skilled at her job. I appreciate the entire staff and am so happy to have found One Medical! Highly recommend and appreciate the quick, yet top quality service! *The app is so helpful and extremely convenient. I seriously have nothing bad to say and am so happy with this Doctors visit experience.

Joining One Medical was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Initially, I was skeptical about paying an annual fee. Healthcare is already expensive, and paying a little bit more for a doctor's visit felt like I was being asked to "pick up the tab" simply because my insurance company was too cheap. I couldn't have been more wrong. That's because One Medical is not your typical doctor's office. Working with One Medical feels like flying first class after years of flying economy. Every aspect of the experience is better. From the moment you enter the door, you can tell that everyone -- from the doctors to the lab technicians to the front desk staff -- care about you and your health. They are skilled, empathetic people who are empowered to give you the highest level of care. Prior to One Medical, I hated going to the doctor's office. Trying to book an appointment was always a hassle (especially if you called during lunch hour). The front desk staff were often rude (over the phone and in-person). The doctor was often late and in a hurry. It was normal for me to sit and wait for an hour just to get a 5-10 minute visit with a doctor who barely knew my name. It felt like I was taking my car in for an oil change, as opposed to being a sick person asking another human being for help. I hated going to the doctor's office previously, so One Medical has been a breath of fresh air since literally everything is better. Booking appointments online is fast and easy. The front desk staff are friendly, welcoming, and professional. The lab technicians are fast, friendly, and calming. And I can't say enough good things about my doctor (Donna Veridiano). She has been a godsend. I've never met a primary care doctor who cares so much about their patients. Dr. Veridiano is smart, friendly, curious, kind, supportive, patient, knowledgeable, and detail-oriented. She has been an ally and an advocate while I've been dealing with a chronic illness. She takes time to understand my symptoms and look for solutions. She helps me find other doctors (specialists) who can treat specific aspects of my illness. She is quick to respond to emails and to review lab results. She also collects and reviews medical records from my other doctors, which helps me feel like One Medical is my "home base" for all things related to my health. About 98% of my appointments are on-time, so my visits are extremely efficient. I've been working with One Medical for nine months now, and I sincerely regret that I didn't join sooner. It's hard to put a "price tag" on the benefits I've experienced from working with One Medical (i.e. better quality of care, better health outcomes, friendlier service, time savings, etc.), but I would estimate my One Medical membership generates at least $5,000-$10,000 in value for me every year. If you're extremely healthy, and you only go to the doctor once a year, you might not get as much value in the short-term, but I still think it's worth it to establish a strong relationship with a high-quality primary care doctor so you're prepared for any health challenges that might pop up in the long term. For me, the annual membership fee with One Medical was worth every penny.

Quite different than other medical offices. Upbeat, attentive and helpful, each person greets you, listens and provides you with their name. I felt comfortable getting a vaccine here. Exceptional service for a covid vaccine. Thank you.

First of all, you should always do your due diligence to check that a provider is in-network with your insurance yourself. At the end of the day, you're the one who will have to pay the bill. Just log in to your insurance provider website, run a search on a provider name or "One Medical" as a group practice and see if it pops up. If in doubt, call the customer service number on the back of your insurance card to ask. Always ask for a representative name and call reference number if you talk to someone on the phone. That aside, One Medical is 1000% worth the annual fee. I moved here from out-of-state and had to start over with my search for new providers. Some primary care places weren't taking new patients for two to three months out! Ridiculous! I hesitated but ended up pulling the trigger on the membership fee because I have chronic medical conditions that need to be monitored and didn't want to have a potential emergency and no provider. One Medical has same day appointments available, and no, not always at the same locations. But how many other medical practices will offer you appointments at other locations period? I've seen some group practices where practitioners of THE SAME GROUP will refuse to see you, because you "belong" to someone else and they didn't have appointments available. Some other great membership features are the ability to message your provider questions, request medication refills by the One Medical app, video chat with a medical provider and get immediate help for common ailments like colds, UTIs etc. (that alone would save you an urgent care visit fee, so I think it saves you money in the end) I love that I can book appointments myself online. The providers at the RWC location are amazing, knowledgeable and up-to-date. Their phlebotomist is really sweet (I have no idea how to spell her name) and front desk staff is on top of things. RWC almost never runs behind on appointments. Highly recommend One Medical overall and RWC location especially. (beware of that In-N-Out across the street...) I am not paid anything by them, just a really, really happy patient.

Been a member for years, over the last 12 months, the service has deteriorated, for example, their app used to be great and you can ask nurses questions. Now, their services are unreliable and you are on hold for 1+ hours. So disappointing:(

Be ready to be charged extremely high prices! I was shocked to see they charged my HSA Card close to $700 for a simple doctor's visit. I wish I noticed previous reviews mentioning their extremely high priced billing practices. I will have to look into how they came up with that price because that price is not normal for a simple doctor's visit. It is easy and quick to get an appointment and the staff are nice but the prices are far beyond what specialist doctors would even charge. Before you actually go for an appointment. I would recommend asking what they would charge you and your insurance company. I would never go back and I would not recommend this location.

I have found the redwood city office NPs and MDs to be great and I have been going to this location for the past 4 years! All the staff are professional, and it is great to go to a doctor who remembers your history. Being able to book appointments online, and to be able to choose the appointment length has made scheduling easy, and refilling prescriptions can often be done via the patient portal.

First, I'd agree that the care received here is exceptional. I like my primary provider and I enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, prompt appointments, time spent in consultation and ease of access to the facilty. However, this practice charges a $200/year membership fee with the promise of same-day or next day appointments. Yes, please! Except that same day appointments are NEVER available at this location, and next day appointments are RARELY available at this location. I had one for today, and they messaged me that it was canceled! If I need to see to be seen today or tomorrow, I must drive to a different location, often as far away as San Francisco or Sunnyvale, which with bay area traffic, I usually just opt to go over to GoHealth. Despite the excellent care (when I can get in), I can't justify the membership fee when I have to go elsewhere when I'm really sick.

Hands down...the very best Medical Practice in the Bay Area. I refer all my friends and colleagues to One Medical in Redwood City. Always a positive and professional experience...this is truly hard to find! Try One Medical, you will never go anywhere else for your healthcare!
