A supervisor should never publicly embarrass their employees. A supervisor named Linn was our cashier and she was yelling at an employee named Jacob for not running fast enough to the front to help bag groceries. He stated he was asked to do another task by another supervisor. She kept yelling at him in front of us making our shopping experience very uncomfortable. Jacob looked embarrassed and was just doing his job. He was kind to us while Linn was being rude. I don't want to shop at a place where employees are yelled at publicly by their supervisors. Very unprofessional.

Customer service /hospitality +: I was specifically looking for a German Chocolate cake this morning. Of course because it's listed someplace on line doesn't mean it exists. Then I went to Vons on Orange in Redlands to their bakery. After telling the staff what I needed, they came out to look for it also. The young lady went to look for a slice but came out with a sml individual German Chocolate cake and added birthday pick to it. Upon checking out there was Cheryl & Ashley checking items and keeping you in stitches. There energy picked you right up .. the smiles and laughter and for me, positive conversation as they worked.. that day, it didn't get better than the atmosphere in that store and those ladies boosting hat atmosphere. The store is nicely set up, clean and well lighted.. easy to navigate and offer lots of products not seen in other stores.The staff I encountered are for sure keepers and they seem to enjoy what they do.. I will be mindful to go to that Vons when shopping and recommend to others. A keeper

I recently used the Vons app to order groceries for pick up. It was super quick and easy to use. Ruslana brought out my groceries and was so kind and helpful. I will definitely be shopping here more often thanks to the amazing customer service!! :)

Very disappointed with Christmas prime rib dinner. I didn't expect to simply receive pre-packaged items which I could have simply taken off the shelf myself. What was the point in ordering a $100 meal?!!!

I am usually happy with this market but I have to say that yesterday I had a very bad experience in the deli department. There to purchase fried chicken I stood there for I don't know how long before one lady asked me what I needed. I was told another five minutes for the chicken to be cooked so I decided to go & pick out the rest of my items. When I came back again I just stood there. Finally a different lady asked me what I needed after the first one kept ignoring me. I asked for my chicken, she bagged it & just placed it on the counter. No words at all. I know what it is to be in customer service & a "Will that be it?" or, "Anything else?" or, just simply, "Have a good day".

Sales refused to make western union transfer. His rezone that nobody there to help me.it was 8 o'clock in the morning and was no costumers in store.only me and it takes only 3min. shame

First time visiting this store for us. The cashier was great but the short lady at the deli was rude so we walked away from the deli. The manager should tell the employees if they're going to work in customer service they need to have a positive attitude. Probably will not visit this store again.

Ridiculously long line for checkout. Workers are just standing around looking at the huge lines and watching two cashiers working like dogs. This store REALLY needs self checkout. I won't be back.

Not much to report, came in, got what we needed, paid for it, and left. We didn't have any questions, didn't need any help. The store was clean, the people seemed happy, not much more to say

Wanted some of the mango habanero chicken and ordered an 8 piece. The large girl with the glasses at the counter only put 6 pieces in the bag and my elderly mother asked if she put 8 since she ordered an 8 piece not a 6. This girl proceeded to give her the nastiest look like my mom's question ruined her whole day then she just threw two more pieces into the bag. Is this how you treat your customers? Such unprofessional behavior especially with the ageism and some racism as well. Employees should know how to count or at least be kinder to elderly people.

The store itself is beautiful and usually organized. The produce is colorful and fresh. The prices range from decent to expensive, but they offer good coupons on the app. For the most part, the staff is friendly and welcoming, except for my disappointing experience today with Ruslana who didn't greet, nor bother to ask me if I needed any bags. However, their bathroom is SO GROSS! There's trash everywhere, it smells really bad, and there's no toilet paper dispenser --there's one toilet paper roll resting on the bar, so you know what that means? Everyone who wiped themselves after taking care of their business is touching that same roll before doing so. Talk about unsanitary. The lack of attention to that area is obvious.

I gave this VONS a one star because of its employees!! They are extremely rude , unhelpful, and so miserable I was wondering why they are even working ? The cashier a young kid who never acknowledged me or a hello I wondered if he was mute ? And the customer service agent at courtesy counter extremely rude to another customer I heard all his business she might as well have put his situation on the intercom!! And when I had an issue I was interrogated by her as if I am incompetent!! I was so close to screaming at her I decided to hold my tongue and put a review on vons instead stay away from this store ghetto homeless outside employees miserable and store not adequately stocked !!

I wish I could score lower. My elderly mother recently visited the Redlands Vons on Orange Street. She lives in another city but loves to check for weekly sales on meats. Last Thursday she called the meat department to see if a certain crab selection was on sale. The meat man told her yes and that they would $29.99 per pound. Excited the next day my mother went to purchase the crab only to be met by the store manager Sara who was unprofessional and rude to her. Rather than explain that a mistake must of taken place, she loudly expressed to the meat man, "We do not have to give her anything!" Sara didn't even have the decency to address my mother directly. We used to live in Redlands for years and have never had this issue before. I was stunned when my mother recounted the unprofessionalism of someone in the store manager role. My mother did not argue with this manager or stoop to ignorant levels that Sara saw fit to display but regardless no one, least of all an elderly woman should be subjected to this level of indecency, unprofessionalism, and lack of customer service. My mother did call corporate who went above and beyond to remedy the situation, so we are thankful for that. The behavior of Sarah the manager is unacceptable and so I'm sadly writing a bad review as a warning to others to look out for this manager as she lacks respect and regard for Vons customers. I imagine her behavior is not aligned with Vons values but I'm compelled to share this with others. Vons, please do better with the people you select to represent your store.
