I just rented a car from Budget and found that the following morning I had a low pressure warning light. I found out that the tire was leaking because I could track its pressure using the dashboard display. When I talked to the customer service agent, they were able to give me a refund that more than compensated me for the effort of having to fill the tire both days of my rental. I appreciate their desire to please me as a customer.

Was flying in on Friday (Veterans Day) and was informed on their website that they were closing at 1pm. Tried all week to get ahold of someone at the Redding location to see if I could make arrangements. They would not answer and all my attempts (over 50 times) were forwarded to a call center located outside the US, they informed me to keep trying because I was calling during the hours the Redding location was open and someone should answer, which would avoid the calls being forwarded, never happened. This location has a reputation of very limited hours, they are only open 9-4 and they do not come in to accommodate later flights. They are really losing out on a lot of revenue and are doing a disservice to the flights that come in after 4. I had to take an Uber when my flight came in and take a hotel shuttle to pick up a rental there the next morning. Super inconvenient and not customer friendly. It’s a small town, but you could at least answer your phone and attempt to make arrangements for those customers arriving after 4. Redding can do better.

I was told that the car that they charged me in advance for would be ready when I arrived at the airport. I did explain that I would be in after hours. They said no problem. Confirmed my flight and times. I arrived. No car, no keys, no help! The security guard said that it happens with budget at the Redding airport almost every day. Horrible company!!

It is ironic that this company is called Budget. The car was expensive. The thing that is really lowering their rating is they raised their price when I choose to check out. I was flying into Redding Municipal Airport. Budget appeared to be the only rental car company there. (I was wrong about that. There was Avis and one other) When I was searching the internet for a good price, their estimate was about $250. However, when I went to check out, They added all sorts of unrelated charges. I think the total was about $350 for 3 days. They were expensive. The car itself was good - Honda Accord. It seemed to be a little bit old for a rental. I am guessing it was 1.5 to 2 years old. However, it was clean and ran well.

We needed a one way to Redding California. The desk agent was polite and very professional and provided us with a great car for the drive. She even had me personally check the fuel gauge for fullness, which I appreciated as I've been scammed by other rental agencies. The drop off at the Redding airport was just as smooth. We were met with professionalism and courtesy! We will use Budget again.

I had to click one star, didn't want to. They severely over charged me for the vehicle according to the terms on the web site. Started at $484 for three days. I called and they reduced it to $306. Still greater then $100/day. When I was online reserving the vehicle, it was marked at $63/day. I am not very happy.

Told me they only had a truck then the next lady behind me got a smaller car. The truck interior was very dirty. Then she told me that liability insurance was $29 after she added $35 for fuel. She was very rude and didnt have a name badge. Got to San Jose to drop of the rental that cost me over $200 for one day and the gentleman found the the gas was added and the vehicle was checked in already. ? Thankfully someone with integrity fixed it for me. I never experienced anything like this using budget. The Redding airport is a joke and the rental car companies should consider a different location and better employees.
