John was amazing! I had taken apart my bed ahead of the move, then I inadvertently lost one of the parts to put it back together. When everything was moved into the new place, John went to assemble my bed for me and we discovered that there was a missing part, so he couldn't do it. Later on that afternoon, John called me from Lowes and said he had found the part I needed. He bought the part, brought it to my home, and put together my bed!!! I was so amazed that he would go out of his way to do this. I would recommend PDQ to anyone and everyone. PDQ did an excellent job!

My mom moved from her house to a senior community and the facility recommended PDQ Moving. They have recommended them for years. So I called and was treated courteously on the phone and booked the date. John and crew arrived on time and we instantly hit it off. We did the walk through of what was to go and the guys jumped right to it. They carefully wrapped the furniture, loaded the truck with great speed and care. Once we met up at the new place, they greeted my mom with the care you would hope to receive for her. Polite, accommodating. Moved things around as my mom changed her mind where to place items. I was very pleased. Hence this glowing review.

The Good: As movers, they're quick and efficient. They got the job done with minimal issue (nothing was lost or damaged), so no complaints there. The Bad: John, the owner, is at best careless and at worst dishonest. I read the other negative reviews here, and that all seems pretty on-brand. He will bully you into accepting his shady practices. PDQ moved my stuff twice. The first time, John pressured me into signing a document saying they wouldn't be liable for anything damaged during the move. When I questioned him on this, he seemed offended that I would even ask and assured me that if he damaged anything he would pay for it out of pocket just because he would "feel bad." Then why have me sign a document? He just wanted me to take his word. I caved and signed it, and luckily nothing was damaged during the move. They moved my stuff into his buddy's storage, which he claimed would be prorated if I didn't use the whole month (it wasn't) and I could pay by credit card (I couldn't). The second time they moved my stuff, John brought an extra mover just so he could get "in and out" quicker (the rate for an additional mover was not worth the time it saved me). Then, his incorrect math overcharged me 0.5 hours (see attached photo). He was rushing me to sign the check, so I didn't bother to check his math (my bad, but still...). I didn't catch this error until I was going through old documents years later. 0.5 hours at $225/hour is... well, a lot of money. The entire experience left a poor taste in my mouth, like I had been taken advantage of. Personally, I would look for a mover with a bit more professional courtesy.

There is no question, PDQ is the finest moving company we have ever experienced....and we have moved a fair amount. John, Troy and John Jr. arrived right on time, and immediately started packing and they could not have been more efficient! The crew were all very friendly, upbeat and they were finished well ahead of our expectations... This company is simply the best and we HIGHLY recommend PDQ ! Jim Quandt

When I first contacted PDQ John the owner claimed how customer service oriented his company was and he thrived on referrals.Over all the move went okay. When his crew arrived I noticed they were not wrapping or blanketing any of my furniture. When I asked about it one of the crew members said they blanket in the truck and will wrap my furniture once they get it to my storage unit. Once we arrived to the storage unit and I got all the paperwork signed at the main office I had to leave for awhile. John and his crew finished unloading my things before my return. When I got to the storage unit nothing was wrapped, not my mirrors, sofa, armoire, apothocary cabinet, dining room chairs or barstools, both t.v's..NOTHING! Also my large succulent was put in the storage unit. Who puts a plant in storage??! Shouldn't one of them asked where I wanted it to go?!!During the move one of his crew members dropped two of my boxes at two different times which contained Christmas decorations and lights.Once the move was done I went back to my former residence and I noticed my large cactus was sitting in the plants at my neighbors home.Due to so much happening I let it go for the time being.During the next few weeks I tried to find help to lift it and put it in my truck but couldn't find anyone that was available. When I finally got the time to contact John to ask him if he could help me bring the plant to my new location since his company left it behind in the first place he commented.."that thing is a beast. Why don't you cut it up in pieces and you will have four and it will be easier." He was serious and I was irritated.I then remember my first conversation with him regarding his pricing. John charges $168 per hour. He said he charges on the higher side because of how well he takes care of his customers and their belongings.I am out and about everyday. I am constantly networking. I will make sure it is known how unprofessional this experience was and how John needs to look up the definition of good customer service.

I have never had a moving company move so slow and so careless. They did not wrap mattresses or care for furniture They would move one Cushion or one box at a time. The breaks were endless. I have scratches on many items and there are dirt marks on our brand new couches...stained. They scraped our stainless steel refrigerator...and they did not hook up any of our washer dryer or Refrigerators. They were nice but clearly milked ever hour to make more money. They did not work quickly, Carefully or efficiently last but not least I told them I had a 4 bed 3 bed house and they brought the smallest truck so they would have to make second trips and charge more money. I would never recommend unless time, money and valuables do not matter

PDQ Moving moved us in August 2020. We have many delicate antiques and pieces of fine furniture. They also packed everything for us. They did an awesome. Everything arrived safely and in perfect condition. They were very accomodating in making sure everything was placed where we want it in the new location. I highly recommend them.

John and his team moved my parents, who are older (75+), this last weekend. I would give them zero stars if it was an option. They have NO regard for public safety during this pandemic and will not comply the mask mandate, even when asked. We asked their team to mask up on more than one occasion and they flat out refused, stating that it was too uncomfortable and hot to work in masks! In addition to the mask refusal, John became combative with my husband when pressed about the masks, and accused us of talking behind his back when we were having a conversation in another room with my parents, which was none of his business! Further, John threatened to walk off the job, have his team leave and STILL demand payment. They did not put masks on until my sister was taking pictures of them working without them. Within minutes, they walked outside and masked up. Go figure! If you're worried about having strangers in your house without masks, huffing and puffing while they move your stuff and are argumentative about it, find another moving company. Otherwise, use them at your own risk.

This is the 4th time I have used PDQ Moving and Storage and I would recommend them to anyone needing a professional, knowledgeable, and efficient moving company. John and his guys are nothing short of awesome! They show up when they say they'll be there and get right to work. Thank you, John and crew! PDQ is an excellent moving company. We just completed our 3rd move with them and would highly recommend them to anyone. John and his crew are professional courteous fast and dependable. You won't find a better bunch of guys to help you through your move.
