If you are looking for quality rebuilt trans for a honda or acura, this is the only aftermarket I’d recommend. High quality, fit and finish matter to them, fast friendly service, competitive pricing. Whats not to love? The several I’ve used over the years have been perfect.

We have a 2002 Acura TL Type S owned since new. Its a fantastic car,except for its known prone to failure 5AT. Even though I have kept up with the proper maintenance service for its transmission it began to fail at 145K miles. I did the 3X3 fluid changes, cleaned all solenoid screens, cleaned and tested all solenoids and replaced pressure switches. I have also replaced the external spin on transmission filter. There is an internal filter that cannot be replaced unless the transmission is taken down and disassembled. I did my research 2 years ago for the eventual replacement of my original transmission. H&A came up, with some reviews here and from the Acurazine forum that I follow. Those guys recommend the AV6 swap, which also worked. I was more interested in keeping an all parts original car. I contacted H&A directly to get more information about the remanufacturing process. Andrea and Debbie from customer service provided me information on highly rated installer near me. I also spoke to Freddie who is the shop foreman. He answered my questions regarding clutch pack materials, the oil jet cooler that was installed in the 2004 recall. He went on to explain the machining process, and the addition of a metal sleeve on the case. They also agreed to use my original core which I preferred. H&A picked up my core, and delivered the remanufactured unit a few days later. I had Acura of Glendale do the take down and re-installation. Everything went as planned. On schedule, and no surprises. I had them replace the 2 transmission mounts and the rear main seal as well. The car drives as I remember it when new! All the shift point are spot on. The grip on each gear was firm. No leaks. I had the service manager take pictures of the remanufactured unit prior to install. It was clean. I can actually see all the pen markings on the bolt heads, meaning those were properly torqued. I wish I can add those pictures to this post. It has been 3 months since the repair. We have taken the car on long road trips out of town. I am confident to drive it anywhere. We are so happy with the outcome. Kudos to H&A for a job well done. Albert

I have been doing business with this company for over 20 years. They are a pleasure to work with and they have reliable remanufactured transmission. After 45 days of my Chevy suburban sat at lamb Chevy in Prescott Arizona for 45 days before I got anyword back from lamb Chevy I had contacted Barbara to see if it was possible to get a new transmission from her shop even tho it was not a Honda she had contacted me back within an hour and told me tes and I had my truck towed to McKinney automotive in cottonwood Arizona . After dropping my z71 Chevy suburban was dropped off with in two days the owner of McKinney automotive contacted me back and told me my truck was ready I was shocked I was so happy to see the turn around from the performance of my truck as well as the quickest transmission replacement I have ever seen .. from both company's.. I tank them both for there effort to getting me back on the road for the fasted and cheapest cost with a 3 year 100,000 mile warranty pluse McKinney automotive warranty for his labor to match H&A warranty I couldn't have made a better choice with the two companies thank you again Barbara and thanks to McKinney automotive in cottonwood Arizona you guys are the best in my eyes I refuse to use anyone other then H&A transmissionThanks again for you tremendous efforts

I would not recommend this place to anyone. Everyone beware. I have never been so victimized in my life. This place is a ripoff. I will not ever do business with this company. They replaced my transmission and that was fine. I also discovered that my original catalytic converter was replaced with another catalytic converter. I did not authorize this work and was never told about it. I discovered the different catalytic converter when I brought the vehicle home. I will never do business with this company again in life. I was ripped off by the company and I don't appreciate it. I am very angry and disappointed with the company and the way they conduct business. I will never forget it and again anyone considering taking they're vehicle there beware.Service: Transmission
