“Bet you are wondering what a guy from Santa Monica is doing in a CVS in Porterville? What? You have never been to Porterville with it's long white sandy beaches, tropical surroundings and relaxed island atmosphere? I know...it's a dream...wake up David! We were filming an episode of "6 hours in Porterville." I know you can't wait to see this exciting production. I am giving them 5-stars because they had availability for a Pfizer Covid Vaccine so I got one last Friday when I stopped in. And the woman who administered it was as nice as can be. Now I bet you are saying, David! you are going to have to drive back there for the 2nd in 3 weeks! No, no, no--they got me an appointment for the 2nd close to where I live. Although if you have ever been to Porterville--you may want to come back here and stay at the Ritz Carlton Porterville. About the CVS Store: Not as well stocked as a CVS store in LA. Large free and easy parking. Just as easy to get your bicycle stolen here as in LA (see my pic). I asked the CVS woman who checked me in for the Vaccine how it went for her? She said--I am not getting the Vaccine unless they make me. I don't trust it. I asked here if she gets the Flu vaccine? Nope. (If I worked in a drug store with sick people coming in all day I would definitely consider getting vaccines.) Next door is a Starbucks with outdoor seating--I hung out there a bit. Across the street is The Habit. They told me that they have a new freezer just for the Covid Vaccines and plan to administer them here for a long time.”

“I see most of these are at least a year old. My experience has been different. I had previously had my prescriptions at Walgreens. Typical wait for new meds was 3 days. Then sometimes, after waiting, I'd call and they'd tell me they didn't have the med. When we currently had covid, this pharmacy was the only place that had it. 5 minutes after they got the prescription, it was ready! So I transferred ALL our meds and they have not disappointed! Amazing customer service too! Very satisfied!”

“Went to the store to pick up my prescription and had many questions about a drug I was taking. I was greeted by the pharmacist Manuel and was immediately greeted with a smile. When giving him my prescription I asked him about what to expect and how this will affect me. He answered all of my questions very professionally and was extremely helpful! “Overall it's a good store. It's clean, the staff is nice, and they have good sales at times. This review is for the store and not the pharmacy. I avoid it due to the bad reviews. The downside is the under staffing. GET MORE STAFF. At times they get so busy and they have only 1 person cashiering. Despite that, I've seen the cashiers handle upset customers in a great manner. Also, the parking is horrible when Porterville High School kids get out of school. I don't know why every parent thinks using a store parking lot is the best place to pick up their kids. It's annoying and makes parking difficult. Other than that it's a good store. Cleaner than CVS most of the time.”
