I recently visited the Pomona DMV and had a mixed experience. While the staff were efficient and helpful, the parking situation is a nightmare and the location isn't ideal. It took me ages to find a spot, and the area around the DMV is not the safest. Overall, it's an okay place if you can overlook the parking hassle and location issues

To the woman the African American woman that was wearing a haunted mansion tshirt on March 8th, it would serve you best to just be a kind human being. I understand maybe you don't like your job, but thats not the public's fault. No one is forcing you to work there, that was a choice you made. Life is hard sometimes but you're only making it harder on yourself for behaving this way. You're an adult, it's very odd. I thought it was maybe just me but you were also incredible rude to the man in front of me. If the employees at the DMV don't like working there, please seek employment elsewhere. It's not our fault you're unhappy and it's unfair for you to take it out on the public when we are there to get answers from YOU!!! Nobody knows how this system works that's why there are employees to assist! Please assist with kindness and respect because everyone in there seems likes they want to jump over a bridge. NO ONE IS KEEPING YOU THERE!!!!

On 2 visits, the staff at this DMV were courteous, and as efficient as was possible with such a large crowd. I was prepared by going online and recording the documents that were required for Real ID. Even with no appt, I was done in 50 mins. It was too late to take the written test (reqd over 70) so I went back and completed that step in less than an hour. Very satisfied

Wow usually I don’t even try to review a government agency but this place had such good costumer service , my wife told me this place was nice, 3 months later I had to change my drivers license address and truck registration after a few problem they really help me, they were nice lol I mean like it supposed to be ? I will be back soon ????

Came to the dmv today to renew my license. My toddler was with me and he lost his balance and bumped his head and started crying loudly. I did my best to calm him down. The sweet security guard even came over and offered him candy (with my permission). My toddler started crying again for ONE minute and one of the rudest employees leaned over the counter and YELLED at me, stating “if your kid is gonna scream like that you need to take him outside he’s making everyone nervous” and then continued to lean over the counter to stare at us. I told her he had bumped his head and was crying and that nobody around us seemed to be bothered. After she made that scene other guests in the dmv proceeded to tell me she was out of line, which she was. I did not appreciate her comments or behavior towards myself and my son one bit. It was rude and unprofessional. I asked other employees for her name but they didn’t share that with me. Wanted to share this as it was highly offensive and hopefully she does not make rude comments towards other parents who are waiting for dmv services.

What a scumbag place! Employees (security front door) to busy watching his phone to aid clients. Ropey haired attendendents too busy looking to be insulted to do their jobs. Stay away if you value your time!

Plan to spend most of your day here and it costs an arm and a leg. Getting plates and registration for my cars cost $250 (2013) and $189 (2007). With smogging at $55 each, I spent $549 today just for paperwork and plates. License ($49) means it cost $600 today. That's extortionate. Getting registered in this state cost more than the older vehicle is worth! And it was slow! I had an appointment which allowed me to go ahead of lots of other people (not right). Line out the door, even before the computers stopped working. 2.75 hrs later I left - without getting a California license! The wait is because they have an excessively complex process. There is a process to get checked in, a different process to get a number, a process to apply (the paperwork), a process to verify the vehicle number and another process to get the plates. Phew! Their computer system was down for hours today, and is still not up. And of course they required so much paperwork. On the bright side, most of the people were kind. Oy!

Went to dmv pomona today 10/29/24 got there before 8 a.m., lady on window 8, she is super nice, BUT the security guard assigned at the front that time he very rude he should not be at front where people ask question he's very un professional.

Went to the DMV office in Pomona today to renew my drivers license. Made an appointment on line to shorten the wait time but still had to wait in line. Once I finally got to check had to wait before I could pay for my renewal fee, and take the eye test. Then another line to take a picture. All in about 1 hour on site at the DMV of which 50 minutes was waiting in different lines. Tips to make the experience easier.: 1. Make an appointment on line. 2. Fill out as many forms and upload any supporting documents on line (if the system is actually working - I had to try several times). 3. Get there early, the parking lot was like a mall at Christmas time back before the pandemic. All but one of the employees at the DMV were friendly and efficient with their jobs. With two especially helpful!
