This place is a mess. I was a first time customer and when making my appointment I specifically stated I wanted a deep tissue massage and had had trouble finding someone through the online booking system. The receptionist recommended someone and set an appointment for me. When I showed up for the appointment my masseuse was running almost 15mins late, which I didn't mind, but when we got in and started and I began talking she informed me she did not perform deep tissue massages... what? The massage was still pleasant and the facilities clean and aesthetically pleasing, that's why I'm giving at least a couple stars. However, I didn't get the massage I even wanted and received nothing for the inconvenience. I scheduled a second appointment while checking out, explaining to the receptionist what had happened. She assured me that she would book me with someone who does deep tissue for my next massage. Day before my second massage I get a call asking to confirm my appointment. I find out that the masseuse I am scheduled with does NOT do deep tissue. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! They tried to schedule me a month out with another staff member but I just told them to cancel. This place is way too unprofessional and unorganized.

I have had plenty of massages at different Massage Envy locations and it is difficult to find a very good therapist. I make sure to check on Yelp to see what precious clients recommend and found this particular location. Trusting the reviews, I went to book an appointment online. The front staff gets 5 stars. The new checking in by text process was easy and the lady who greeted me was very friendly and welcoming. The location seems really clean as well. I was called on time and got the full 50 minutes. However, I did not thoroughly enjoy my massage (I'd give 2/5 stars). I wanted a massage for relaxation with medium pressure but I wasn't able to feel relaxed the entire session. Most massages I have had usually starts with the back but he started on my legs/calves and he pretty much rushed through both of them. I always like a good back massage but he didn't leave a lasting impression. I also like it quiet during my massage with very little to no talking. At one point it felt as if he was trying to start a conversation. Giving him short answers, I was hoping he'd get the message. He kept checking on me way too often than he should, which took from the experience. Anyway, I'm a little confused with the reviews on this therapist. Maybe he's better with much deeper work but he could've also performed quality work to tailor to other needs.

I don't normally leave reviews but Yvonne deserves the shoutout! I enjoy deep pressure and have especially needed the help after having my first baby in January and working from home during COVID (neither of which have been very ergonomically friendly!). My massage with Yvonne is one of the best I've ever had - she focused on the areas I asked her to and even discovered a few I didn't realize were tight. The best part was she actually applied deep pressure and was SO relaxing! Will definitely be rebooking with her soon.

Front desk staff are kind, however, I remain a member solely because of Jerry. I had been a consistent member for over five years, on the hunt for a deep tissue therapist. I had called into this location numerous times and had even scheduled appointments with therapists that the front desk claimed to be "deep pressure", however, they never could do what I needed for my neck pain (pressure wise or wouldn't work on the requested area all together). Finally someone mentioned Jerry, who happened to have an opening just at that moment, so I jumped on the opportunity to give them one last shot to set me up with a true deep tissue therapist. He provides relief each time, that prior to meeting him, I had not had since before my car accidents nine years ago.

I bought a gift card a while back as a Mother's Day gift for my mom. Evidently there is an expiration date on the card. The ladies at the front desk told me the company didn't have to honor it because the card I bought was not a gift card but a promotion card therefore they were not bound by California Laws. Here I am trying to create a memorable experience for my mom and introducing a new client to Massage Envy has turned into such a disappointing experience. I don't understand how a service company can in good conscious take people's money and not deliver service. They may have profited from selling this gift card, but they have lost a couple of profitable customers for life.

These 5 stars are all for Jerry. I used to be a member here before Alyssa got promoted.I LOVED her! I couldn't find anyone as good as her so I cancelled my membership. I'm not the biggest fan of Massage Envy and I have always been opposed to male therapists. The ones I had in the past made me feel a little uncomfortable. I suffer from chronic pain in my neck, back, and shoulders thanks to being rear ended twice. Late last year, I started suffering from beginning tendinitis. I searched YELP and saw tons of good reviews for Jerry. I called to make an appointment and he didn't have any. I got on his list and was in to see him within one week. Jerry is AMAZING! He knows EVERYTHING! His pressure is firm like I need, he's kind, he's knowledgeable, and he's thorough. I was starting to lose hope in feeling good again and in one session, Jerry changed that! I immediately signed up again because I refuse to live my life without Jerry helping me become great again! After the pain from the massage subsided, I felt AMAZING! If you see this Jerry, know that you have Blessed my life by being so amazing at your craft. I'm deeply grateful. Thank you!

Hands down, the most gifted therapist I've come across is Jerry Vargas at Massage Envy in Pleasanton! I'm convinced, this man has added years to my life by REMOVING what others would define as major ailments! Sciatic problem, hip flexors, carpal tunnel, migraines ... GONE! What would take Western medicine surgeries and years to repair, this man does it in a session or two! A true healer that is passionate about helping his clients get to better health! There's a reason he books out, months in advance! Get in and get on his books if you're looking for help!

Came for a 60 minute massage. Front desk people were nice, but that's where the positives end. Was led into a sitting area that looked like a doctor's office (lots of signage about policies, upsells, etc.) to wait for my therapist, who came 2 minutes late and ended 3 mins early, plus there were 3 minutes spent in the beginning discussing my massage requests and for me to get undressed and on the massage table. So my massage was 52 minutes. I've had about fifty massages in my life at various locations in the United States, and it's very rare that you don't receive 60 minutes of actual massage time. The massage itself was decent but nothing to write home about. Overall I felt the therapist was going through the motions and not very observant of noises made with the chair, leaning into the table awkwardly, etc. Upon checking out there were upsells: your therapist recommends coming in several times a month, and would you like to buy a membership? No thanks.

I joined in March and trying to get an appointment during the day is impossible. I have four credits on the books. I called today and no appointments available. Be aware of this problem. I can't get out of contract until Next April.

I've been going to massage envy for many years now and always have had a decent experience. Today was the worst experience though, very different from the past experiences.. no massage, wrong product usage which is still hurting my eyes, my acne - no treatment for which I specifically went for the facial. 60 mins facial was done in less than 30 mins..A total waste of time and money and the top of it, they always ask for tips, I'm usually pretty generous and today also I gave (not that much though) but felt like a complete rip off..need to find another place now.!

Xerez is wonderful! It's hard to book her, but there is a texting list that will notify you of any cancellations she has (and you have approximately 2 minutes to snap that spot up!)

Jerry is the BEST! I've spent over $3,300 at the chiropractor office & after one massage by Jerry, the pain in my legs that I've had for the past 3 months is gone. I had sciatic pain so bad I could hardly walk. Thank you Jerry for your knowledge & the miracle I was praying for. Natalie K.
