“Love sprouts. So many options, good deals. It's like your typical grocery store, but they seem to have more "healthy" /organic type products. And good deals. (Mention that twice bc when you go in they advertise deals very well.)”

“Skippy's is the best! It may be small, but they've got all the essential items to make breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert, and then everything to store the leftovers and to clean up. The staff is awesome too!”

“What a treasure! You can depend on Petaluma Market for - Great readymade food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Some of my favorites are breakfast burrito, cucumber garbanzo bean salad, sushi, soup, taco salad and had a great vegetarian Tamale casserole recently! - Wonderfully edited packaged food options. They don't have dozens of every item they have a few that are great! Whoever chooses the products great job!- Expertise from cheesemonger, butchers, sushi chefs and florist! - Party ready! You can find gifts and party food easily, cakes, flowers, alcohol - walk in and look like a star when you show up at an event! Well worth the higher prices!”

“I was pleasantly surprise by the customer service! the owner of El Sabroso Market, She personally delivered a box of pastries and on top of that free of charge!, this is what customer service is all about. I recommend the place specially the carnitas and fresh made tortillas which they have every weekend. They also carry Goya's products which are my favorite including the olive oil. Since the new management took over the service has improved a 1000%, employees are very friendly and welcoming. The meat is fresh, the place is very clean too.”

“We love Ortega's market. It's the cleanest, most organized Mexican food market I've ever been to. Really good homemade salsas and daily deals on select items!”

“I have been going to this business for over 10 years & have nothing but great things to say! The selection of craft beer & snacks are the best in the area. What really keeps me returning are the owners & service. They are always so friendly & kind to everyone & it is clear that they've built such a community. I always leave so happy & smiling, even if I've had a bad day. Definitely a go-to if you're in the area looking for a clean shop with a good selection. P.S. If you love donuts like me, they have fresh ones every day!”

“Huge, tasty burrito for just $11 and friendly service. Ice cold soda and other beverages. Their hot food menu is not just Mexican but they have the classic American sandwiches too like roast beef, etc. Bodega Bay is too expensive so we try to buy our food along the way.”

“Ron, aka Mr. Moo, is the best milkman ever. He brings us beautiful Strauss products every week. Ron's service has cut my grocery store trips in half. I am so grateful for the freshest milk, butter, yogurt and more, delivered right to my door in glass bottles in a handy crate. I cannot say enough great things about Ron. He is an honorary member of the family now. This is one of the best services I have ever found, and I have been using it for over ten years now. Sign up for dairy delivery now. You won't be sorry.”

“The cleanest store in town. (probably anywhere) I've been going in Fairwest Grocery for almost 20 years. When I walked in 20 years ago, I said to myself, "this store is clean!" I walked in yesterday and what was the owner doing? Wiping down counters after every single person checked out, cleaning the shelves, clean, clean, clean. And they ARE NOT overpriced. For the service, the cleanliness, THE SMILE, and the product selection, it's priced just right.”

“This is my go to liquor store. Great selection of beer, wines, snacks, and convenient stop for household items. Staff is always friendly and helpful. I always leave there in a better mood then when I walked in. Don't forget to swing by when in town!”

“I'm a loyal Raley's customer and have been since the Petaluma store opened. While the produce department has always been the saddest Raley's produce I've ever seen, I have remained loyal. Today, however, I have to speak up. I'm one of those customers who will bag my own groceries if no bagger is available. I'm just standing there anyway, so it's not a big deal. Today's checker just watched me when he was done ringing me up, then proceeded to watch me load all of those bags into my cart. I had six, so he had plenty of opportunity. He didn't even try to help or offer assistance. My complaint is not necessarily with the checker. It's with management who hires these young adults and then doesn't train them properly! Most checkers thank me for helping them out but this young man just stood there watching. Come on, managers! Help your new employees to be successful! They are the face of your business, and your customers should feel appreciated. (Please note that this is not my usual experience at this store, so maybe that's why it bugged me so much.)”

“I’ve been coming to La Azteca since I was a kid. Over the years their food quality and service has never faltered. The food is always amazing (best grilled fish tacos in town), their service is so fast and staff is always friendly. Prices are fair and great portion size. You really can’t beat it in my opinion, hands down my favorite go to Mexican restaurant.”

“Had my first experience with Safeway at Sonoma Mountain Parkway in Petaluma.I was looking for Manicotti shells. I looked in Petaluma Market, WHole Foods, and Safeway on South McDowell. No joy!Another google search led me to Safeway at Sonoma Mountain Parkway. I called their customer service. The phone was answered by Sabrina, she asked me how many packages I wanted, then asked me to hold while she checked. When she returned she told me they would be at Customer Service with my name on it. I asked where Customer Service was and one of the staff pointed to a point across the store. There was no one at the desk, but I found my packages, checked out, and went home to make my first-ever manicotti.I hope someone will tell Sabrina "thank you very much".She's the first person at a Petaluma Safeway that I've reviewed.I'll be going to her Safeway store first from now on!”

“This store opened in 1976, the year I moved to Rohnert Park. I've chopped here off and on since 1976. For the last 17 years I've shopped here regularly. The products are consistently of good quality and reasonably priced. To quote the former Governor, "I'll be back!"”

“This place is so much better than the other location. It's bigger, cleaner and has a better selection of everything I've looked for. It also has a deli, a bakery and a prepared foods counter unlike the other location. The atmosphere is pleasant, and you smell flowers when you first enter the store. I especially love the produce section. Besides fruits and veg, there's a quality selection of salads, dressings, herbs and vegan novelties. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because I swear they used to have a sushi counter, which I miss greatly!”

“I wanted to grab a cold beer and saw the sign that said liquors. Well liquor is in abundance but the beer selection is severely lacking. I also needed a few common market items which they had, so no issues there. The place is very dated but the store seemed to be a local favorite from I could tell.”

“As I was familiar with this particular store and pharmacy, it was the first place I thought of when I needed to get a prescription for Paxlovid. It was day two of having symptoms for COVID and time was critical for starting this Rx. The pharmacy received my prescription and got it ready promptly and, as promised, gave me a call. I had given them my insurance information over the phone. I asked what my cost will be and they said something like, there should be no cost. When I got there, wearing a mask, doing the final paperwork I was informed, due to some glitch with my insurance there was a $12 balance. I didn't care, I needed to get this. The supervisor on duty took note and said, "That's not right, there shouldn't be any cost." Who was I to argue. The supervisor went to their workstation and started entering or re-entering my information. It took a few minutes, but they came back, saying, "There you go, no charge." I was truly impressed with the above and beyond the usual level of customer service that is so often seen. The takeaway is not that I got my prescription at no charge, it is that the staff showed concern and tried to correct some problem with my insurance. A heartfelt, thank you for your help. PS, the Paxlovid really helped.”

“I shop here regularly as I did in other Safeways in cities I've lived throughout California. Most are ok, but I really like this one in Petaluma. It is big, has a Pharmacy, a good selection of items and clean. Going on a Friday eve was not the best idea. The Seafood counter was closed and minimal checkouts. This was approx. 7:30PM, maybe a fluke but was disappointed. I really don't know how much you actually save with the members card.It is in a good location, lots of other stores in that mall and surrounding malls. It's true what they say, "don't food shop when you're hungry."”
