“The Valley Ace Hardware on Hartnell was about the only store open this holiday weekend and really saved me when I was in the middle of a project and needed some items to finish it up. Debbie, the manager,, and Jason went above and beyond to get me the item I needed. Janette in the garden section was so kind and knowledgable. What a truly enjoyable experience. One would think all three Ace Hardwares in this town would be alike, but that is so not the case. The Valley Ace has a whole separate building that houses their quality garden supply selection—beautiful plants (indoor and out), pots, fountains, landscaping materials, etc.. It was also pleasant to walk in and not have to weave through the political paraphernalia for sale (if you’re in this area, ya know what I’m talking about). Highly recommend Valley Ace for great customer service and product selection. .”
“Went in the other week for some paint and had a great experience. The young blonde cashier was so nice and she got me in and out of there really fast which rarely happens for me as I’m picky about my colors. Prices were great and the help I received from her getting paint and checking out was great. If you’re thinking about going to any aces I would say this is the best one in the area.”

“I bought a bundle of 50 lath stakes on Friday. I purchased about 10 bundles in the past few monthe. When I got to the middle of the bundle the stakes were cracked. There was 20 pieces of wood that i couldnt use and finish my project. So i called on Monday and was told i could swap the 20 pieces out. They weren't thrilled about it but they were going to allow it. So I take the hour drive back to Liddells to do the swap, I live in Burney. Son of a gun, I get home and find out the guy gave me 36 inch boards instead of the 48 inch boards. Every bundle I purchased there were the 48 inch. So if I want what I actually paid for, I'd have to take another trip to redding. Screw it, the gas is costing me more then the bundle. Looks like I'll have to take my business somewhere else. They are at the end of their supply and need to get rid of the crap. All has been good except for this last purchase.”
“1st time I've ever been in this business and boy oh boy do they ever have a full inventory of "stuff". From gloves to heat-shrink to Tee shirts to about every quality power and hand tool. A guy's dream store. I am not qualified to guess at pricing so no clue about reviewing that one. I think this is a great place to find whatever tool you need for about any job. Plus, I was asked if I needed any help...that's almost a thing of the past and now greatly appreciated”
“I stopped by this location that is located right by the freeway this isn't my first time and I always found what I need at the time also is well merchandise, well managed and plus the employees are not pushy they let me browse. This time I stopped to buy some screws because I am trying to build a work table with free pallets.”

“I need two 2x10x16 kiln dried pieces to complete a project. Meeks was the only place in which I could get them and it was a special order. Once I placed the order with the salesperson on the phone I was given a delivery day and time. That day came and went. No delivery.I called Meeks and they informed me the lumber hadn't arrived yet and delivery would be the following day. It would be wise and good customer service to inform customers that a scheduled delivery has changed so the customer doesn't waste a day waiting for a delivery.In the end I did get the lumber and the delivery guys were extremely courteous.”
“We had tired of refinishing our cedar deck every 2 years or so. Decided that we wanted to replace it with composite decking. We looked at several building products stores before stopping by Weaver Lumber north of Anderson. At Weaver we met Chris Edenburn, who guided us through our decking options. When we decided on a product, Chris prepared an estimate for our consideration. We confirmed and placed the order. Within a few days, we had our delivery. We subsequently had to replace our joists that had deteriorated. Chris made sure we had excellent straight treated joist boards that were delivered the next day. We were very impressed with everyone we encountered at Weaver Lumber. Chris and his coworkers exemplify excellent customer service! We will definitely use them again. We wholeheartedly recommend Weaver Lumber for your building supply needs!”

“Lowe's may have more of what you don't really need or want, but have less helping employees. While home Depot has more of what you want & need, and more helpful employees too.”

“In The many years I've been going to this store I have Had two thing's that went bad, I had a short wait in line, the return / exchange was easy. This time it was a 4 gal water heater and Tammy in returns was very nice and helpful.”
“Most of the time the service is pretty good. I love the fact they appreciate the military and are patriotic. I wish they used the lockers for online orders more. Most of the employees are friendly (a few are not, but as a business owner I understand employees can have a bad day). Good selection and online ordering is very easy.”

“True value is a great local hardware store. They have a good selection of tools, hardware and paints. The staff are helpful when you need them and leave you alone when you need your space. Plus all the staff are wearing masks which is great because it helps keep our county off the watch list so that our businesses can stay open.”
