The workers here care about you and are about customer service all the way! Look for the workers who have been there the longest. Remember, they have a mic... if they don't have the answer someone there will. the old timers know and there are a few at this location.

I took a chance and had my fine art photo framed here. They damaged the pristine piece with creases on the top and bottom, I had to take the frame back for them to take my now damaged photo (worth hundreds of dollars) out so I can hopefully get it fixed and properly framed elsewhere. My piece of art is literally dented by how they improperly framed it. PROTECT YOUR ART. Do not frame with them.

Alas the only place to buy art supplies in PS. Poorly stocked, subpar merchandise, no one around to help since they're understaffed. Then for added insult the checkout line is always tedious and slow as the cashiers ask people to pull up their emails to find the Michael's loyalty discount, which owing to the generally slow mindset of the clientele here in PS always takes forever. I will say the staff is friendly.

I have been to this Michael's location a number of times over the past two years to have them repair damages done to a number of our art pieces in a cross-country move to the area. They have done different things on different pieces: a large oil on board had to be framed; a block of postage stamps and a photo had to be custom matted and framed; the shattered glass in a larger framed poster had to be replaced with non-glare glass and the hanging wire replaced; the torn paper backing on one piece had to be replaced; a framed animation cell had to be opened, repositioned and resealed - you get the idea. Each job was done in a timely, professional, excellent manner - and I found their prices to be extremely competitive when compared to other framing shops in the area where I had gotten estimates for some of the work. Everyone I have dealt with here has been extremely helpful in walking me through my options and costs on each job. Most recently I have been helped by Inga who I believe is the framing department manager, Brittany, and Madison. All of them have been a pleasure to deal with - friendly, helpful and professional. I will be doing business with them again and based on my experiences, I can recommend their services without reservation.

Madison is a master! She put this vintage Coronel geometric Ceramic sculpture together with the true skills of a professional! So happy with how it came out! Give that girl a raise!!!

Inga Miller is an absolutely amazing ambassador for this nationwide chain... I've known her to be efficient, talented and most pleasant for the past ten years in the Palm Springs store. She is a great problem solver and a pleasure to work with.. Great product in record time!

This is a UPS package pickup location, allowing customers to collect their package if delivery was unsuccessful. However, the employees at this Michael's location are always very rude and dismissive about locating your package "in the back." If you do not provide them with every detail in regards to your package, they will not help you.

I give this store and the staff at this location 1 star. The online inventory was not even close to being accurate. The employees were unhelpful and would not assist in helping find the item at other locations or ordering more. Terrible experience. I will never shop at Michael's again because of this

I'm having a nightmare with the framing dept. Almost a month ago I purchased off-the-shelf frames for two large photos and was told they would be ready by 11/30 so I could mail them for Christmas. Now on 12/11, they still aren't ready. I spoke with the manager today and she asked me if I had left the pictures with them? Really? Why on earth would I be asking for the completed project if I had not given them the pictures?? One of the stupidest questions I have ever encountered, and probably a hint as to why the frame dept is so poorly managed!

Yesterday my husband and I went to Michael's to buy many items, and we checked out with Carla -- whom, we soon discovered, is the greatest!! We were very impressed because she is the kindest, most professional, happiest, most welcoming, and most eager-to-help customer service person ever -- with a bubbling good sense of humor and willingness to work! Truly, we have never seen a person working in a store that is ultra-responsible and concerned about her customers' happiness and satisfaction. She answered all our questions quickly and was very helpful regarding where to find additional items. If I were running Michael's, I would make sure Carla is wrapped in cotton, rewarded, and encouraged never to leave!! Both my husband and I commented that Carla really could be the best asset this chain store has ever had!! She is the type of employee that makes a company REALLY thrive!! People rarely see this kind of customer service, but when they do, they want to return -- just to be around Carla!! Thank you very much for hiring such a brilliant, caring, and loving person because we can't stop talking about Carla and how her warm caring attitude totally made our day!!!

AMAZING framing team here. I came in with some art I wanted framed but had NO idea how to approach or what would look best. I came in fearful, but the minute I walked up, Inga was there with a big smile, warm heart and tons of expertise. Inga not only has a wealth of knowledge and expertise, but she took the time to learn about my space and how best to frame the pieces so they would work well where I would be hanging them. Really appreciate this personalization and going far, far above and beyond. Madison and Ken were also stellar and it's clear they are all a cohesive team that really supports each other which benefits the customer too. Someone in management/corporate needs to give Inga and the whole framing team a ginormous raise pronto!

Just read through many of the recent reviews for this retail establishment. I think that many of their customers expected more than they were prepared to deliver. I use Michaels for their Aaron Brothers framing. When I have a piece of art, I need framed, and I don't want to spend tons of money these folks are the absolute best option in town. A few really important notes. 1. They have really nice people working in their framing department. However, they don't have 20+ years of experience. I am really good at this and can direct them accordingly. If you don't understand picture framing 101 you may not get the best results here. 2. Be very specific about what you want. This is more than selecting a frame. Get the matte correct, get the filet correct. If you don't understand framing terms, you may be challenged here. 3. These guys are fast. My recent framing job was promised in 14 days, and they delivered in 13. AWESOME! 4. Quality is exceptional. They put frames and mattes together like framers that charge 3 times what they do. 5. Can't beat their prices. 6. Limited frame/matte choices. The lithograph I picked up this evening cost me 159 bucks for the frame and matte. It looks amazing. A typical mid-level framer would have charged me 250 bucks. The piece looks amazing, and I am really satisfied.

To begin with, I'm not a fan of Yelp so I really have to be pissed to write a bad review. Tonight at seven I stopped by to pick up some Christmas items. Great I thought, not busy and no customers so I can get in and out easily. I took my items to the cashier ( there were two, each with a customer) I waited twelve minuets while there was chatter and lots of phone usage and NO ONE said a word like maybe.......we're sorry sir it won't be long or possibly ,will open another register or at least a nod or indication that someone noticed I had been standing there so long. I'm retired from many years of retail but perhaps Michaels would like me to come in and teach the value of CUSTOMER SERVICE as Michaels management clearly does not value its importance.
