I picked an electric car up on March 6 it had 36% battery took a picture of it and went back to the desk and supposedly he changed it but of course it seems he just said that and of course he didn't do anything. Now being charged for the battery fee. On the contract it says 100% charged when picked up what a scam. Won't be going to Hertz anymore.Update some reason they only gave me back 25 bucks instead of the 34 dollars wow. I had 36 % when I picked the car up I should owe nothing. Lazy workers at Palm springs California airport avoid.

What a garbage car rental operation. Was here for a conference and needed a car for the last day (storms meant coworker with rental car had to leave early). Went to the desk with a reservation and the guy flat out refused to honor the reservation. Didn’t matter that I had a confirmation number and that corporate booking agent said on her end car was available. The hertz guy decided that other people with future travel issues were more important than my current travel issue.And I got to spend $40 on Lyft rides to / from the convention center to show for it.What an absolute joke.

We needed to extend our rental by 6 hours but could not get ahold of anybody. When you call, nobody picks up and the voicemail box is full?? It leaves you with 0 options.We couldn’t do anything through the corporate line because we had booked with a work rate so we were left high and dry. Absolutely the most frustrating and absurd experience. Can’t understand why these systems would all be disconnected.

I was charge $500 for cleaning for returning a car the same way I picked it up. I called the number on their website to address the issue, I had no option to talk to a human being but an automated response.

Do not rent a Tesla from Hertz! Renting from Hertz was the worst rental experience I've ever encountered. They rent us a Tesla, but don't include the needed adapter to charge the car. The video's they send beforehand says there's an adapter, but there isn't. When I called Hertz after going to different charging stations and not being able to charge without the adapter. They said they don't include the adapter anymore because people were not returning the adapters. We spent half a day dealing with the Tesla and then were told to bring the car back and they'd exchange it for a car in the same class. We were there in 10 minutes and the only thing they had was an Austin Mini! The car barely fit our suitcases. It was so small my husband could barely get in and out of the car. When we returned the Tesla they were trying to say there was damage to the car, which there wasn't. We will never rent from Hertz again. Go somewhere else to rent.

Nice car at a decent priceBUTWe left something very special to us in the rental car on our drop off at the airport.Automated responses are absolutely infuriating when trying to solve the issue. And reaching out online is even worse.

We rented a car with car seat from here and we’re told to go to the fire hall to get the car seat installed when we got there we were told it was not a safe car seat and it should not have been rented to us. When I came to the counter to tell them the problem, this man was very rude to me and told me to leave, since we had already returned the car it wasn’t his problem . Never rent a car from this Hertz. All staff incredibly rude and unhelpful except for the girl who originally helped.

I recently rented a vehicle from Hertz at their PSP location. The Agent Michael who serviced my reservation was extremely competent and helpful. He rapidly provided me with the vehicle I needed and thoroughly addressed all of my concerns.

Scammers. Highly dissatisfied and will never return or recommend to anyone. Charged extortionate rate for fuel service after returning with full tank, and they won't answer the phone. Auto message says you have to submit a fuel receipt for a refund for the false charge but there is no place to submit it and shouldn't need a refund if returned full to start with. They also did not provide a receipt for the charge. You have to go to their website and request it.

first time in palm springs. the service agent eddie was warm, friendly and made me feel like a vip. noticed i was celebrating a birthday during the rental term and instantly upgraded me. how cool was that! even though hertz was not the cheapest rate they earned my future business after this unforgettable act of kindness. dont understand why they are rated 3.6. i had the car for 7 days and service in and out was perfect

I rented a vehicle at the Palm Springs Airport location last weekend and wanted to compliment Mike, who helped me at the Gold Counter. I showed up to the desk around 6:30pm on Saturday and he was friendly, prepared, smart, and fast. He matched my energy, which is really rare to find in customer service. I'm sure if I was in a really big hurry, he would have moved me along quickly. But I felt like talking for a minute so he was really friendly and kind. There was no one waiting in line so we chatted for a few minutes. Thanks, Mike!

Horrible experience. You can not reach ANYONE by phone at any local Hertz location, because they have one person running everything. Call Hertz Corporate, and your call is routed to outside the country. They have 0 customer service, unable to reach anyone at this location, or any local CA location. No one responds, even if you select “emergency” option. BUYER BEWARE!!!
