I've been coming to Lisa for my hair for 23 years now. I moved away, and still have never been able to find someone who can cut my curly hair perfectly the way she does. She's prompt, doesn't push products but is there to recommend if you need something, and the salon is always super clean and stocked with the best magazines. I even had Lisa do my hair for my wedding. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I've had Lisa, the owner, do my hair several times now, and I'm always satisfied! She definitely wants to please her customers.I like my gray hairs colored a certain way, and she listens, and does a beautiful job. I've had other colorists that won't listen and just do their own thing.The color lasts and lasts, and her cut and blow-dry makes my hair look great for days and days. So reasonably priced, such a great place :-)

Lisa has styled my hair for more years than we can believe....since 1980. Once in a while I have needed a haircut when I have been somewhere else and it has never been as good. Absolutely the best.

I "found" A Cut Above twenty years ago when I got a flyer in the mail. I thought, what the heck, I'll try it. I've never looked back. Lisa is a pro. She knows exactly how to cut my unruly, curly hair, and expertly tailors it every time with a minimum of fuss. Her prices have always been reasonable, and she is always on time with a friendly smile, and the salon is homey yet immaculate. I just hope she doesn't retire ... uh, ever. Highly recommend "A Cut Above."

I found Lisa at A Cut Above while searching on Yelp about a year ago. I should have posted a review much sooner. Lisa is far and away the best hairstylist I've ever been to. Her shop is cozy and comfortable, her prices are reasonable, and most importantly, I always get a quality haircut. Who could ask for more? I don't leave her shop until I've made my next appointment!

Be aware! I went to this place, because of the good reviews on Yelp and convenient location. However, it turned out that this salon is absolutely horrendous. Do not come here under any circumstances, unless you are looking for a total hair disaster, bad attitude, rude and extremely incompetent service! The stylist layered my hair unevenly on both sides, and when I asked her to try and fix it by layering it evenly on both sides!, she said that she CAN'T do it, because she DOESEN'T want to! I'm still blown away from this absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional response! I have never had such a bad haircut and horrible treatment ever in my life! Will never come here again!

I'm new to the Palisades and have always walked by Lisa's salon and decided to make an appointment for myself before a huge concert I was attending at the Hollywood Bowl. She was fun to chat with and informative of the area. My hair came out beautifully. I received so many compliments that night on my hair. I trusted her so much that I brought my mentally challenged sister -- who had a style that was growing out awkwardly from a super short haircut. Lisa trimmed it up, evened the back to the front and made it actually look beautiful. My sister loved it and I loved what she did to make it look special for her. I would recommend her to anyone. She's the best!

I loved it! Lisa was so nice and she really knows what she's doing. The place was really busy, so I suggest calling in advance to make an appointment. And,not to mention, my amazing hair cut only cost me $35.00!! Thats super cheap for Los Angeles. You should check her out

LIsa is hard-working and talented, an added bonus is that her prices are really reasonable. She has been cutting and highlighting my hair for over 14 years and she does an incredible job. I don't live that close to her salon anymore, but it is worth the extra time to go to someone I trust. I highly recommend her work.

I LOVE A Cut Above hair salon! I go to Lisa regularly for a wash and blow dry when I have important events or meetings for my business. She also cuts my entire families hair. She has a clean and friendly salon and it feels so warm and comfortable. I highly recommend!
