I tried returning something that made my dog sick/allergic reaction but didn't have the receipt. The Caucasian boy wearing a mask at the register and the middle aged Hispanic woman were so rude to me and very dismissive. Btw, They don't even know their inventory or what products they sell. Super disrespect, unhelpful jerks. Petco in general is a terrible store and I don't normally shop there or buy anything there unless I have to. I'll be sticking g with Petsmart. So here's a tip for you, BE NICE TO CUSTOMERS AND MAYBE THEY WOULD SHOP THERE! You really have nothing else going for you as a store, so work on the customer service that does not exist here. JUST BE NICE - IT'S NOT THAT HARD! Petco will be the next company to go bankrupt! Ugh, horrible people!

I'm in nesting mode and want someone else to take care of. Fiancé doesn't want a third dog and we both don't want kids, so I decided I want fish. I found almost everything I need here, from the fish to the live plants, tank, heater, food/treats, and some toys (a leaf for Sashimi to rest on and a mirror to bob around). I was hoping to get a water frog or a snail but didn't see either of those. I am super happy with my purchase, and the cashier was so friendly! She helped me find a mini net while it was slow. Pros: - friendly - lots of parking - lots of dog toys - healthy fish Cons: - a bit pricey - not a great aquatic animal selection

I think this is possibly the WORST Petco location in the entire nation. First of all, the prices in store NEVER ring up properly (you are charged way more than the price listed in store and online!) and God forbid you bring this to a staff members attention! They just stare at you like you are speaking another language and shrug their shoulders. Make sure you check your receipts! The staff is just beyond rude and incompetent every single time I go here. If you order online for pickup, yes even hours in advance, you are told it will be another hour or you can "grab your order yourself" The management is horrible, they are never there and never call you back when they say they will. It's just honestly all bad bad BAD. I'd suggest going to the location off the 76 or just going to PetSmart or anywhere else instead.

The Veterinarian was great. This rating is for Petco's notification service. My dog has to be put down but I kept getting e-mail notifications that her service is due over the holidays. I had to call twice so far. I even deleted her off the website, and still got another email. Really cheers up the holiday season.

I have been buying food from PETCO for the last 15 years but realized that the customers are not even valued on the most superficial level. I came to your store tonight at around 7:30 PM to buy a large bag of cat food. I am standing in line behind a customer who was at the register with the only cashier in the checkout and the customer needed assistance. The store only two customers (myself included) in the store. The manager came to the front to assist the first customer which was not an issue. Another employee followed the manager to the checkout area. The issue I had was when the manager was finished helping the customer before me, she and the other employee did not ask if I needed help. I am holding a large bag of cat food and the manager and other employee looked right at me, ignored me and left the checkout. As a longtime customer, how I was treated reflects the PETCO values and it's not about customer engagement. I called the manager, a woman with glasses and very short grey hair and told her that I did not appreciate her rudeness, that she lacked customer service skills, doesn't pick up social cues and should look for another job. Sorry PETCO, I will purchase all my pet supplies on Amazon because a mouseclick is much a better shopping experience than a rude one.

Don’t take your puppy here for socializing. I brought my puppy here to get him out sniffing and hanging out at one of my favorite places to go, and was approached by management how I wasn’t allowed to say the words “sit” “stay” or “heel” to my OWN dog?! Because Petco sells training?? So because you want to sell a product, I’m not allowed to try and have a well behaved puppy? But the couple that came in with two dogs on retractable leashes barking at my dog with little to no control from their owner is totally fine. That’s good for business I guess.I came in to buy some fun dog toys and treats for my pup, but I decided to leave after that without buying anything.Horrible shady business practice.

Dr Rodriguez , Anita and her wonderful staff always takes such wonderful care of Miss Mattie. DR Rodriguez is such a loving caring and compassionate VetShe is so kind every time we see her. I will always bring Mattie to Vetco Total Care Oceanside .

If you make a grooming appointment on a Friday afternoon here Hannah will cancel it. There’s a reason they have so many appointments available. Just go to pet smart it’s cheaper and more professional

I had a grooming appointment booked for almost 2 weeks because I was getting photos with my dog the following day. I took off work early to take him in and the groomer said she thinks he has an ear infection and was unwilling to groom him. Now I am left at 4:30 on a Friday before the pictures with no where to take him. The one time I took him to a Petco with an ear infection, they just didn’t wash the area and didn’t clean his ears as to not interfere with the medication he was on. This is a massive waste of my time and has left me with no where to go last minute.The stylist’s name is Hannah. Also she clearly just wanted to be off work early. I had a 4:15 appointment, when I got there she asked if she could send my dog home not fully dry because she got off work at 5, which I said was fine. Then proceeded to cancel my appointment because she thought he had an ear infection. So hope Hannah had a great early weekend. Incredibly unprofessional.
