HORRIBLE, bad, irresponsible:Issue 1) Rental center did NOT perform inspection. VSA light appeared 30 minutes after departure (where the 4 tires are not aligned). Vehicle begun shaking on highway. Car was unfit to drive, and we drove at 30 MPH on I-5. See photo.Issue 2) All 4 tires' pressure was in the 20s (full is 44 PSI), and the dashboard light appeared.Issue 3) HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE ATTITUDE, she refused to listen, and passed responsibility to national customer service

I work with Hertz in Oceanside on a daily basis- The service is always inconsistent. The employees are often frazzled, maybe this is because they are short staffed? The organization is lacking and the customer service always falls short.I have called 5 times in a row this morning to no avail. I should not have to call as I booked a car through our Rental Portal but I need to confirm that they even saw the reservation and ensure that the car will be delivered to our FBO. More often than not, the reservation is missed and the employees often use the excuse of "they did not see the reservation". As I mentioned before, the Customer Service is subpar.There is a lot of room for improvement and with proper training and support, I believe this location has a lot of room for growth.

When I was in process of receiving my rental through them because my insurance assigned them, the two reps were fighting. Then when I go to drop off the car the lady was so busy she just collected the keys and said she would send me the receipt. ONLY to find out I am being charged 520.00 ?? MY INSURANCE covers rental so why am I being charged 520??? more than my deductible.. who knows they never sent me a invoice and when I called the rep does not understand me and is rude. Requested a manager to call back to fix this issue because how in the world am i being charged if my insurance covers.

Very disinterested service and staff! I arrived and did not physically have my passport (nor was this stated as something I required, I have not needed this before as my driver's licence alone is usually accepted, in Cali, at Hertz), so I needed to run home to grab it.It was 12 minutes to 5pm, a 14 minute return trip to grab my passport from home, I would of returned at around 5:02 and the staff really couldn't have cared less. They didn't even try to be helpful or act like they cared in the slightest.Whilst I absolutely appreciate they didn't want to wait the extra 2 minutes past close, I am super disappointed that my holiday plans are now ruined because all the car rental places are closed tomorrow.Hopefully karma doesn't hit too hard, the smallest act of kindness could have changed the holidays.

Made a reservation and paid for it and hertz stated it was for pickup after 1200 on Saturday. Well they close at 1200. The worker was still in there and said he couldn’t do anything about it. Absolutely disgusting and hope karma finds them in the very near future. I anticipate a half-genuine response on how they are glad that I shared this experience with them and they always strive to be better.

I usually get phenomonal customer service but at hertz at this location the staff was rude and unhelpful. They mocked another customer that came in before helping me. At first I thought maybe the customer ahead of me had been rude to them and that was why they were acting like that. As I proceeded to modify my reservation I realized this was actually not the case.A bald caucasian worker and a Latina working there pretended to not have vehicles available and to not be able to find the reservation when they knew it was in the system.Not a good look guys if you do not enjoy working there I would suggest different employment, Don't treat others poorly with your service as this reflects poorly on the company.

First, horrible and rude customer service, unfriendly to all customers,vocally.I rented a car this morning on Expedia. I paid Uber 10$ to get to Hertz. Before getting to the front of the line Selina was already warning that no cars were available. i said, "i have a reservation".... she went on and on about how the "cars aren't available and Expedia lists cars from here to up the coast here to there blah blah blah blah blah.. no service just excuses... "When I got to the front of the line she said, "we have a car it's a Tesla." I mentioned that I wasn't sure I wanted that but decided to do so and she went back to check something. About 5 minutes later she came back and said, "it has 51% charge and clean." As she was setting up the rental she went in the back again and came out about ten minutes later and said, "oooh, bad news, the Tesla is at 20%, and is dirty"... do you still want it.?" It was clear she didn't want me to take it.She was untrustworthy as I feel like it was lies. Anyway, so I asked her to cancel it and of course there was NO customer service.. just an awful awful Hertz site with an employee that needs to learn to treat customers with an ounce of humanity and respect. i am disgusted with Hertz and also Expedia for this business practice.I lost money on Uber (23$ round trip)i am now supposed to call some number and wait forever to cancel a rental I didn't want to cancel.Horrible serviceWhelp, I was originally going to just dispute any charges on my credit card for this terrible experience but this morning Inhad extra time and I tried to call and just got into an automated loop of hell.... No wonder Selina wasn't willing to provide customer service and call them for me- the customer that has been largely inconvenienced--- of course she refused to cancelThe reservation and just threw a brochure at me with automated loop numbers. Disputing the card now obviously!Update: Evan, through chat, saved the day and got the cancellation and refund... thank you Evan, service isn't usually this easy, however, what happened shouldn't have.... I was confirmed to have a rental, paid to get to rental, screeched at by Selina and lied to, paid Uber to go home and spent an hour to cancel l and will now wait 7-10 days for a refund of a car i never got. I feel someone should refund my Uber and heavy discount my next rental. It won't happen and that's why I am here.. :)

This company doesn’t deserve to be on the bottom of your shoe. They lie and try to screw you over. They said pick up for a rental we placed was after 12. We get there and they said they closed at 12 and they couldn’t help us or refund us. Rude and horrible experience. NEVER EVER RENT FROM HERE!!!! I would rather take a horse and buggy.

Poorly managed, unfair billing. Will use avis budget next time. Manager was not helpful, continues to charge card long after rental period and double bills for rental because team can not manage simple check in and drop off of the vehicle.

So, 39 days ago I was hit by a driver working for Uber that was driving a Hertz rental car he had full coverage with Hertz it was reported to Hertz now after 30 phone calls Hertz still has not responded to my request since then I had my car fixed out of my own pocket 3100.00 in damages so now I'm suing the driver as he admitted fault. I FILLED A COMPLAINT WITH STATE of California and was informed i was not the only complaint filled SO DONT BUY THERE INSURANCE HERTZ IS BADThank you

Parked right in front and the Hertz representative parked a rental car in the handicap spot next to me. He opened the car door, hit my rear view mirror, didn't apologize and played dumb when confronted. He apparently obviously needs 2 to 3 parking stalls to do his job because he has no sense of space or respect for other people's vehicles or property. Never will I use Hertz since these are the people they hire. Completely unprofessional!

I Booked a reservation for a midsize SUV two months ago for today and upon entering this location, I had an initial feeling that it was not going to be a good one . I’ve rented cars in the past from different rental companies but I’ve never realized that this will be a nightmare. The customer service here is very bad. After giving all my information including my credit card, the lady in the counter which I later found out was the manager of that store told me there was no available car and she kind of offered us some options like a sedan and an option to wait at least 1-2 hours. These options were ok if we were not in a rush to get to where we are going and the amount of luggage we have.. The other rude guy in the counter basically closed the options by telling us there’s nothing they can do coz there’s no car in the parking lot. At this time the manager was busy with one other customer. This senseless mean guy was non accommodating and was irritated when we were asking questions. He did not even offered any other options. This is the worse experience we ever had with a rental company. They should have checked the reservations a day or two days prior and could have assessed the situation whether to call us for any options. This store should improve on their customer service. if there was a rating of zero on this review , I would given them “0”. I eventually called another car rental company and it was a fast and smooth process from beginning to end. The employees on this rental store had far excellent customer service compared to the other. They were honest from the moment I called them over phone until I got the car I wanted. They had all smiles in their faces all throughout the process..

For as long as this Hertz location has been open, this has been an utmost horrible experience each time. This is a Corporate Hertz location which is why it is extremely horrible customer service. Do not rent from here! The Staff is unfriendly and outright rude with "control" and domination issues as if they are a monopoly in town. Do not do business with this Hertz corporation location, it will bring down your morale. Do not give this Hertz location your money.
