Still unchanged on 28th street at broadway no street cleaning,/ nor ticketing, no towing of all the expired tag cars , repeated complaints ignored --guess the city don't need the money, the target shutting down (loss of revenue), not ticketing abandoned cars (loss of revenue), not ticketing in street cleaning days and you all pay high taxes, nice going ..

I drive from palo alto to Oakland to support diverse business owners. I parked in a legal spot and returned in plenty of time. There was a $98 ticket on the passenger windshield for no-parking driveway. I drive a small car I was two feet from the driveway. Ticket said Photo on file. There is no way to retrieve the photo. I spent two days trying to call the parking service 18005006484. No-one answered and voicemail information is only about paying for tickets. Very disappointed to see Oakland municipal government being on the wrong side of what is right and fair.

I went to 270 Frank Ogawa Plaza with my aunt to get her transportation card, the security guard and desk person gave me attitude and was very rude! It was dry there like the Sahara Desert so it was not like they were busy with many customers to be doing all of those unnecessary commentary. Very unprofessional because they both raised their voice, talking down on us and the security guard was using her phone on MAXIMUM volume while hysterically laughing at some videos !! Honestly, if they don't like their job there which they do absolutely NOTHING then they should just quit so someone can do their job right! I have no problem with the City of Oakland but at 270 Frank Ogawa Plaza the workers suck. OVERALL HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Somehow, my name and address was put on an Oregon car's citation. I was cited for something different, but there was no photo to prove what the ticket person claimed. The Oregon car photo was in my file. I kept getting threatening letters, so I went to Manager. Manager defended them, then tried to blame ME! Management is supposed to listen, investigate, then act. I've lived here 8 years, and so far have bad experiences every time when trying to work with a city employee. Sorry, but none of these people should get paid.

Every now & then things go right when dealing with a bureaucracy.I received a ticket for no current tag. That was correct. I had forgotten to put it on.It was a $10 fix it ticket. I put the tag on had an officer sign the ticket as required & sent it to the CO Oakland parking citation center.Saturday I received a notice that the amount now owed (due to non-payment) was 143.00.I printed out a copy of my cancelled check, which also had the citation number on it.I'm giving you the calm version. When I got the notice I went into holy sh--mind set.Today I called the pH number I found on line. Spoke to the person that answered have him the info. H e looked into their records and said "We dropped the ball on this one. I'll send out a letter correcting this situation. Now truth is I don't have the letter yet, but I believe I'll get it. And I'll do another post confirming it.Many thanks to Roger.Charlie

Received a notice of failure to pay a parking ticket that I never received in the mail. Called and there was nothing they could do about it, their system said the ticket was sent, during the HOLIDAY MAIL RUSH.Forget the fact that I hadn't even parked in red, I had idled in yellow to let out a passenger... which is what a Yellow Curb is for. The individual that I spoke to on the phone was kind and tried to help, but the system and its enforcers are so broken, it is literally criminal. In the end I had to pay more than twice the amount for a parking ticket that I didn't receive and couldn't contest. What a failure of an establishment.

This agency is all about quota and bogus tickets! I received a ticket for not obeying a no parking sign. The sign was NOT on the meter or a sign board or eye level but about 7 feet up a freaking pole! I contested, was denied, reached out to Michael Ford, Parking and Mobility Division Manager who "advised" me to go through the dispute process...The City of Oakland Parking Enforcement is big ass joke! They will meet their quota by any inane means. They are sharks, if you get a citation, and you believe it's bogus, FIGHT IT! I refuse to be a victim of the shit show that is the City of Oakland!City of Oakland....SHAME ON YOU! GO TO THE HOTTEST PART OF HELL!

I needed information regarding starting a 503 in Oakland, the gentleman Mr Thomas took time to really go over paperwork, walked me through the process and told me about informational seminars to attend.

I can see why so many massage therapists do business illegitimately. Getting a business license has been a nightmare. I've been to four offices and nobody can help me and they send me to a different office.
