Ryan is wonderful to work with, and did a fantastic job framing the wooden puzzles I brought him. I wasn’t sure how I wanted to display them, and his advice made the process easy. Highly recommended.

Ryan does meticulous and high quality work. He's communicative, upfront about the expense involved (if you want a cheap shoddy frame that will fall apart in a few years, go elsewhere), and flexible about delivery times. He helped make a 60th birthday gift something extra special. Thanks, Ryan!

I approached Ryan with a project of framing 4x5 contact prints from glass plate negatives. I had an idea of where I wanted to go, and it was Ryan who took this beginning idea to a whole other level. Ryan’s mastery of his art form was instantly apparent and I knew I had found a framer who I would be going back to for future framing projects. For my 4x5 contact prints Ryan created the perfect dark gray stain. The balance of the 8ply within the frame was marvelous. I couldn’t be happier with Ryan’s work. The framed pieces ended up in a museum in Minneapolis, where I received many compliments on how gorgeous the frames looked. Also, while at Ryan’s shop, I noticed multiple other projects (paintings, drawings, photographs, art objects) all of which looked spectacular. For anyone in the Bay Area who is looking for gorgeous hand made frames I highly recommend Mark Ryan Fine Art Services. His eye for detail, the mastery of his craft and his overall kindness and gift of listening, really make him stand out.

Ryan provided great advise on what would enhance the framing job requested, and collaborated engaged other team members to provide additional feedback. The end result is stunning and greatly enhanced the experience of the original painting!

As an art advisor I've worked with numerous framers and Mark Ryan is simply the best. Ryan is a true craftsman/artist and his frames are beautiful works of art in and of themselves. Working with him is always a seamless process and he always delivers exactly what he promises. I highly recommend Mark Ryan if you want exquisite framing and the certainty that your art is framed correctly and with care.

Had a frame done here and the quality for price is unmatched! The craft for the spline joint is perfect and such a job would cost much more anywhere else. Great overall experience working with Ryan, highly recommend!!

From start to finish, we LOVED working with them! We had 2 large professional photographs in rolls (sent to us from NY) that we needed dibond-mounted and framed. After scouring the whole of Seattle for someone competent enough to do both the mounting and the custom framing in one go, we knew we needed to expand our search. Most fine art services in Seattle wouldn't even quote us for the dibond-mounting, telling us that it was too great a risk for them to assume. And, to our surprise, a lot of professional art services up and down the West Coast won't even bother with private collections, which is a huge bummer. But from the moment we found MRFAS, we knew our photos were in great hands. He was professional, meticulous and quick to respond with quotes and specifications. He asked all the right questions and the prices were more than fair. The turn-around time was quick, considering all of the careful work that needed to be done. We shipped the photographs down to SF, and he checked in with us often about how the process was going. He was also enthusiastic about doing the mounting, and there were no complications or worries whatsoever! We also appreciated that he didn't just tell us what we wanted to hear: he was 100% honest about what he could and couldn't do, what the differences in cost would be, and what the risks were. He was able to model the custom frames based on one we had built in NY in the past (so all of them matched), and he even arranged shipping for the finished pieces back to Seattle with an art transportation service that he trusted. The finished photographs were gorgeous and the frames were impeccable! A professional photographer friend of ours (who is ALWAYS finding something to criticize) told us that he couldn't find a single thing wrong with either piece. The mounting hardware was strong and just what we had discussed. We couldn't be happier or more pleased with the entire experience! We have another photograph that we need mounted and framed this spring, and we'll hands-down be sending it to MRFAS again! It's clear that he loves what he does, and that he doesn't cut corners. We're so glad we found him!

Working with Ryan was a complete pleasure!! I had purchased a large photo from a new artist in NY and he was quite specific about how it needed to be mounted, etc. He did extensive research and found Mark Ryan Fine Art Services. The final product was exquisite. It feels and looks like a finely crafted piece of furniture. I was so excited about the framing that I brought in two more prints. An old family photo that Ryan had retouched (perfectly) and a small watercolor given to me as a gift. Ryan helped me to pick the right frame and mat for these pieces and they were delivered today. I couldn't be any happier. I would definitely recommend these guys for anything that you want framed beautifully.
