I hosted my yoga retreat at Willow Springs Lodge and it is the perfect place to gather groups that want to be close to nature and have access to a yoga studio!
When renting the Lodge, there is a variety of accommodations- single rooms, double room, and a dorm room. The living room is a great place for people to gather with plenty of comfortable chairs and couches. The kitchen is very modern and clean. The backyard water feature is very relaxing and the grounds are spacious. The owners, Mark and Trish, have been put so much thought and care into all the details! Trish's permaculture garden is an absolute "must see" it is amazing to see and smell these berries and vegetables!
I highly recommend Willow Springs Lodge for anyone looking to lead a Retreat. And I would also recommend Willow Springs Lodge for family reunions and large gatherings such as weddings and birthday celebrations. The venue is easy to get to, since it is located on the 49 highway and it is also an easy drive to many Yuba River spots. Your group will definitely enjoy these peaceful surroundings!

Wooza, this is such a cool and unique place. If you have a large family or a few sets of friends and want to get away to forget about all the norms of everyday life, this is the spot for you. I've stayed at the lodge 3 times so far and look forward to the tranquility everytime. It's a hidden gem in Grass Valley right off Highway 49 (2-3 hours drive from the bay area). It's very close to several great spots on the Yuba river where you can spend the day swimming and bathing in the sun. The lodge is great for large groups, has three very nice bedrooms in the main building, another one attached to the yoga studio (which is just steps away), and a HUGE attic area upstairs that spans the whole length of the house and has something like eight beds up there. There's a great big commercial size kitchen so prep, cooking, and cleaning is quite easy. The main room is open concept with an expansive dining table, a large living room area, and an old fashion salon style bar. Relaxation is the key to this place! There is no TV; only the sounds of joyous laughter when you sit around the living room sharing stories or out in the back patio area surrounded by nature and a small babbling brook. Beyond the herb/vegetable garden is a chicken coup and a fun kick it spot where we usually roast marshmallows at night. Just past that is a large pavillion to make the occasion a little more formal. The owners, Trish & Mark have really created a wonderful and unique slice of paradise.

Willow Springs Lodge is a hidden gem! The main lodge includes a large living room, a bar area, a huge kitchen and food prep space, and a large dining area that was perfect for our family reunion of 20+ people. Just outside we enjoyed a peaceful patio with the relaxing sound of the waterfall. The grounds include individual cabins so everyone had their space and we loved having a big celebration in the outdoor pavilion. We enjoyed the herb garden and the kids loved seeing the chickens and collecting eggs. If I could give more than 5 starts I absolutely would. We highly recommend Willow Springs Lodge and can't wait to go back.

Loved the incredible gardens and grounds, it was an oasis within an oasis. The new yoga studio is beautiful! I can see this place being perfect for work planning, retreats, family reunions, large parties - you name it, there are so many lovely spaces. The professional kitchen and giant fridges made cooking for our large group a breeze. The bar area was a fun bonus space. Mark and Trish were really helpful about ideas of what to do. We loved visiting the nearby river to play and hike - were a short drive from several great hiking spots, and not far from a gorgeous, clear reservoir where we spent a day boating. Can't recommend this place highly enough!

We are a regular Airbnb travelers and would rate Willow Springs as one of the nicest, best located, real values of all the places we have stayed. The bungalows and grounds were very clean, eclectic, cozy and had everything we needed to feel peacefully at home in nature. Location was convenient to sites we wanted to see without being too close to the hustle and bustle of the city. Communication was great. We would highly recommend this wonderful lodge and retreat.
