To add to my comment last month, I am only referring to the pharmacists, except Shahaab. The other pharmacy staff has a few very nice ones but some see my Rx turned in and I get the look like "I'm so BAD!" They have to consult with a pharmacist who takes over. The whole interaction of turning in a script or fill it, I am being discriminated just because of the medication it is. Spoke to various pharmacies and tell them how RUDE & DISCRIMINATING Rite Aid San Miguel pharmacists are... except "one" pharmacist. One of the many pharmacy's own pharmacist actually said, "Is his name Shahaab?" They said he sounds like the only cool one whenever the two pharmacies have to communicate. So what does that tell you??? Also have had a few friends change pharmacies as well.

Terribly managed location. Pharmacy always has a problem and communication is very poor. I really hope they can fix this with proper hiring

I wanted to write a review on the pharmacy (Andrew specifically) and how helpful is. He went above and beyond to help me with my questions and made me feel so comfortable with his knowledge and he was so nice. We need more Andrews out there if you could please let him know he does a wonderful job!! Thank you!! I don't normally take the time to write these but when they are wonderful and well deserved I will.

Closes earlier than other locations. I have been coming for 25 years. The Staff at Pharmacy is hit or miss. One was helpful at the Pharmacy but he couldn't hear me well with the plastic barrier and our masks on so he asked me to raise my voice so he could hear me. Things went smoothly until his colleague, however, yelled at me for screaming at him after he got on the phone to process my request.I raised my voice only because his colleague asked me to speak louder and this individual was 10-15" further away. He got on the phone for my request but I knew that he was instructing the Hospital incorrectly so I informed him that he was instructing the wrong information. He stopped everything and told me not to yell at him. He hung up on processing my request, said they knew nothing about the Rx.I calmly told him I was trying to speak to him while he was on the line because my Mother just got out of surgery from the ER, he was telling the wrong information, and I was trying to correct him while he had the Hospital and other Rite-Aid on the line because I needed to pick up her medication before I went to get her from the ER. The people on the other line couldn't process the requests because he wouldn't listen to me and told them incorrect facts. This pharmacist reprimanded me, saying that he didn't need to be yelled at when he was trying to "help" me. He was not helpful. I told him I appreciated his help but all I was trying to do was ask him to please refer to the slip of paper I gave his colleague - the slip of paper in his hand as I was telling him the information on it while he had been on the phone earlier since he was ignoring it.Since he wouldn't listen to me, he had to make another call after realizing he made mistake(s). Of course, nobody would pick up again after he tried to call again to fix the mistake(s). He had my Father and I waiting with no success for 30 minutes trying to contact the right people but had time to yell at me when the surgery center already closed. I told him he didn't have to "help" me anymore, that he could just to hang up and not to bother because [he had more attitude than me] my Mother and the entire surgery center had to stay after hours, waiting for me to pick her up after almost losing her arm. Before leaving, I apologized to him, said I was sorry if it seemed like I was rude or yelling at him - but I left without the medication and causing 5 nurses and doctors to work overtime to care for my Mother after her complex surgery. It was the worst experience at a Rite-Aid or anywhere else. I was reminded of why I drive to a further location from my house more often if I have to go to Rite-Aid.I ended up having to get the Surgeon to transfer the Rx to a 24/7 CVS after he was already halfway home to LA. The entire ordeal was delayed while my Mother was vomiting, drugged up from the anesthesia, fevering, shivering, nauseous, and feeling sick from the high-dose painkillers. We should have been home by 7:30PM but we weren't home until 10:30PM after having spent the entire night before in the ER for 12 hours, going to work for 12 hours and dealing with all this with no sleep. I have not been back to this Rite-Aid since. This happpened during the latter half of the Covid-19 Pandemic. I don't know if this Pharmacist still works there. Maybe he was having a bad day, maybe my Family and I were having worse, maybe my fatigue/anxiety/stress levels made me give off more attitude - but I have been in customer service and hospitality for longer than this Pharmacist has been alive - bad experience all around - other than the guy who helped me at the beginning.

If you are in need of any assistance at all, do not go into this store. I was looking for bandaging supplies, asked twice for help, finally found some of what I needed, and just could not manage the do it your self check out.I came home and ordered from Amazon.

I am reviewing the pharmacy. There is always a big line and they don't schedule enough people! I order to refill 3 medication and only 2 is ready.. if this was a one time thing I would not have wrote a review. As I am standing in line on a Friday afternoon, I created this yelp account just to write the review. Just move on and don't use this pharmacy.

Great store and friendly and helpful staff! The only negative about this particular store is that they only have beer and wine, no liquor.

The website let me make an appointment for a flu shot and I got a confirmation email. The day for my appointment comes and when i got there, they said they didn't have any???? Why let me make an appointment at that location then???????? Huge waste of time, go to the other Rite Aid on Bayside in Newport Beach, they were nice enough to let me come in that same day after this one wasted my time.

Very close by when on my way home and needed to pick up a few things. Aisles are ready to navigate, sinage is prominent and well marked. Customer service was friendly and helpful

Rude staff. I've Lived here for less than a year, we've been frequents and Gelsons and Rite Aid. Tonight was the rudest experience. New young black man helped us at the register. I'm with my 5 year old. I pulled out my card to quick from the machine. The boy goes "Why did you pull out your card so fast?! " With such attitude. I said sorry at first then realized he was just being rude. I called to speak to a manager and he answered. And he laughed In my face. I wouldn't suggest going here at all.

This place does not enforce wearing masks during the pandemic. The pharmacy staff have always been good and helpful, but i was disappointed to see they are not enforcing safety guidelines.

I started using this particular Rite Aid about a year ago. I like the selection and the customer service. However, an incident today prompted me to write this review. Rite Aid sometimes sells random clothing at the front of the store. Usually it is t-shirts or parkas or windbreakers or what happens to be on sale. Today it's Hawaiian shirts. Anyone watching the news has heard or read about "Boogaloo." This is a group of predominantly far right wing nationalists who deliberately stir up protestors to get them to act out whatever anger they might be feeling. I have been to Balboa Island and it is clearly Trump country. I feel like the sale of these shirts is not incidental or "Just for the summer" as I was told. I have been going to Rite Aid for years and I never saw Hawaiian shirts like these for sale. A lot of wealthy people are already afriad and this is a bad optic for Rite Aid. It makes the store, if not the company, look like it supports white nationalism. I have never seen any Black Lives Matter shirts for sale. I propose that they not be selling "Boogaloo Hawaiian" shirts either.
