I am very picky about my linens and Bloomingdale's always has the best. I bought the Hudson Park Collection this time in the 680 and 800 thread count. It's their higher quality so the price is a bit pricey but best to buy when they have their big home sale. Service was great. Eleanor helped me and she was very pleasant and helpful.

Customer Service in the Fashion Island Bloomingdale perfume dept was horrible. I went in to purchase a new fragrance, starting off with Jo Malone to add to my collection and told the cashier I was also open to new lines and frangrances. The short female cashier with shoulder-length dark hair not wanting to work that day was not helpful. She kept saying, "we don't have anything in your category." What does that mean?? She wasn't willing to explore any options except when she came from around the counter, folded her arms, and slowly walked my husband and I over to the Creed cologne and sprayed one sample. I also asked her about Tiffany, and she said they didn't have any new fragrances and just stuck to "we don't have anything in your category."We departed and went to South Coast Plaza to do other shopping and while walking through Nordstrom, stopped at the Jo Malone counter, was greeted with great customer service, where the sales rep asked if I had tried the new fragrance English Pear & Sweet Peavand in doing so, I ended up purchasing a bottle as well as the dusting powder. We then turned around to a wonderful young man greeting us with a smile at the Le Labo counter, who introduced me to several scents, and after trying on one, he said to go ahead and do our shopping in the mall, let it settle and if I like come back because he didn't want to sell us something unless I really liked it. I returned and purchased a 1.7 oz bottle of Myrrhe 55. It wasn't just the fragrances that resulted in my purchases, but the outstanding, welcoming, friendly service I received and the sales reps willing to sell their products. All which lacked at the Bloomingdale counter. The cashier, who had another couple walk away before us empty handed, and another couple she ignored after us, needs better training, and she needs to ditch the snoody attitude because at the end of the day, there isn't much that may fall into her category, on her salary, there at Bloomingdale's.

Love this mall and this is definitely one of the best Bloomingdales Iv ever been to. Customer service is very important to me. With that being said, I find many company's to be lacking in customer service tremendously! So when I go into a store and receive great customer service and positive energy I really appreciate that. My last experience going into this Bloomingdales was exceptional. I stepped into the YSL counter area where I was greeted by a man named Christopher. He was one of the nicest people I have came in contact with in a long time . Other than being kind and genuine, he was extremely knowledgeable about the products as well as all around knowledgeable about all things makeup /skin care . He is a true makeup artist and it really shows. If you are ever in need of some new makeup/skincare I highly recommend Christopher, he will make sure you get exactly what you need and make sure you know everything there is to know about the products . He really takes the time to explain how to use the products and gives you his tips and tricks that really work ! ATTENTION BLOOMINGDALES FASHION ISLAND! Your employee Christopher is the very best sales associate / makeup artist Iv ever met...... and I shop a lot and meet many sales associates in my time .

Had a wonderful experience with Mahi who assisted my family and I at the fragrance section. She was very kind, professional, and attended to all our needs and questions. It is hard to find this level of professionalism and service. We really enjoyed shopping here thanks to Mahi and we look forward to coming back!

The staff are always nice and welcoming here. You usually don't get a 'hello' just walking around but if you have any questions or when you're at the register they're always been helpful to me. This particular location doesn't get much foot traffic :( but that's one of the reasons why I love it. You can see so much more. The location itself is fantastic and there never is an issue with parking.

Spack NK and cosmetics staff are really kind and helpful. Fun store with lots of unique clothing boutique upstairs; could do with a refresh in terms of decor (that's Irvine Company's thing).

This review only for lady from Costomer service . I came to return something from online purchase. The Costomer service was very rude asking me if I damaged.I received the box yesterday and returned today nor even opened.Bad attitude worse service

The Worst! I used to Love this location. There was 1 associate who was beyond helpful. She was new, kind & smart and went way out of her way to try and help my situation with two orders that were canceled by Bloomingdale's because I used a "third party credit card"... my credit card. I went into the store thinking they could help. I could not have been more wrong. Not a single other associate could have cared less especially some tall guy named Dave, supposedly a store manager yikes, and another cosmetic manager with long dark hair, that they had working to field issues like mine, She acted like I was the problem from the get go and like Dave Didn't listen and would ask the same question over and over and over again to no avail but both had some uninterested glazed look in their eyes. How either of them has a job I have no idea but they are stuck in that dead-end place. Never again, I even called to close my bloomies credit card. Sincere good luck to the woman upstairs, she was lovely ,hopefully she doesn't stay at the store very long and become jaded & apathetic like the rest of them.And on a sidenote the customers here think that there issues are most important even when I was in the middle of a conversation with an associate. 3 separate times customers barging in and asking for help while I'm being helped. The entire experience did feel a bit surreal. Thankfully one can walk around the plaza after that awful waste of time!

I have come in here a few times and honestly, it feels like an outdated Macy's. The one that is at the south coast plaza is way better, especially for designer shoes. Also a huge frustration for me is that I bought a few free people pieces and it smelt like smoke or cigarettes. I can't really pin down the bad smell. At the time of purchase, I assumed it was the store but when I got home, I realized it was the clothing. I tried washing them but the smell hasn't come out and had transferred to other sweaters in my closet which I needed to dry clean. I don't recommend coming to this location. Instead go to south coast.

I would've given it negative stars if I could! Horrible customer service rudest employees especially the sunglass department at Dior! I have purchased a high end sunglasses it broke after a few months I did not get to it in time and after a couple of months I called to request a screw since my local optical store could not fix it. I have called them and dealer for a simple screw to be able to use the sunglasses but no result I got a very rude response from the staff , just terrible customer service! Don't go there , I would never have that issue with Nordstrom or Neiman Marcus for that matter stay away from them if you can.

This is probably the best Bloomingdales to come to to browse. The people who work here are so unbothered by your presence, it doesn't matter what you look like they are not there to help or there's no one available to help.

Did not think much of my experience at the woman's shoe department. Was "helped" by a late middle aged blonde European woman who appeared to be pretty full of herself. Not warm and friendly at all. The staff at the MV Nordstroms are much more down to earth and friendly. Apparently at South Coast, they just don't roll that way! The department store itself is beautiful and I do love the inventory. In the particular case of the shoe department, would rather not give the commission to someone so stuck up!

Stay far away from this location. Unless you like to be harassed by someone from loss prevention. Which come to find out is a 3rd party company working for Bloomingdales. The mens department is one big circle, This lady literally asked me after I found a pair of pants that I wanted to try on! She said where are you going with those pants ????? Wtf ??? Ummmm to the fitting room? Didn't end up trying them on! Instead. I went New York on her. Excuse me what did you just ask me ? What are you accusing me off. I want a manager this instant! She said I am a manager, no lady your a security person. I want the store manager now! She ignored me and walked away Then the snake sakes associate that would not leave me be for 5 mins that I know for a fact called this idiot, I had to ask her with a raised voice 4 times get me a manager right now Then another moron comes out the manager on duty Telling him the story he played d*** and he literally said he doesn't know who I was speaking of when I described the security lady Ummmmmmm ???? Go freaking find out who is on duty bring them here right now and have them explain why they are asking me what I am doing with pants that I just took off the rack to try on and I am 2 feet from them rack looking at other items Not near a door not in another department Holding the pants over my arm in plain sight? I want to know what the hell is going on right now!!!!!!!! He was no help whatsoever So when you get harassed for no apparent reason maybe your just browsing for a new outfit ? Whatever and all of a sudden you literally feel stalked by the associates, Then if you let them know that you are fine that you are just looking, literally 5 times? Loss prevention shows up to follow you around. FYI: To the Persian Decent Loss prevention supervisor! If you even really are a supervisor Hi I know who you are! You will be receiving my court summons very soon. Why post this here? So everyone knows that it's not worth the drama to go to the Fashion Island Bloomingdales and be harassed by people for no valid reason! Bloomingdales/ macys you will not be able to hide behind the fact your security is a third party company you are liable.

Exemplary!Jill in the houseware department could not have been nicer and helpful. She was extremely knowledgeable and gave a lot of optionality to what we were trying to accomplish. Can't wait to come back for the toaster. Also, Gracie from Nespresso was a delight. She gave me the "INTENSO".Lives up to its name. :-)

Love this store! It is clean and has a good selection especially my favorite brands like AllSaints and Sandro/Maje.
