Very crowded and not enough parking

If you like a class that plays sleepy elevator music that is mildly warm with a teacher that talks throughout class about how all words should come from a place of “love and truth” then audibly gossips loudly about students as they are exiting then Madison’s class is for you!

i like this place a lot! however my concern is the parking. i got a $526 parking ticket here which was terrible but it's not the businesses fault that their parking lot is small. i would just arrive earlier but not too early where there's still another class in session. when i had a billing issue, rachel solved it for me right away. i'm overall satisfied.

I love Ra Yoga studios! So far, I have been to the Newport Beach and the Irvine locations (they also have studios in Costa Mesa and Long Beach). The teachers and yogis here are all very welcoming and genuine people, not stuffy like other local studios can be. I love all of the classes I've tried, but especially the Hot Ra and the Scupt 2 classes! From time to time, Groupon offers 10 or 20 class packs for new clients or you can currently purchase 2 weeks unlimited for $30 directly from the studio if you're new as well! I love that you can use the classes at ANY of the studios, which you cannot do with some other local studios. Some cons I've found: There is only one bathroom with toilet available at this location for everyone to share (two locker rooms with showers/sinks available). Classes are limited to a certain number of yogis, so you must sign up ahead of time online, or show up at least 20 minutes in advance to ensure you make it into a class. While I appreciate the space in class, I would be bummed if I was running late or even just on time and couldn't get in (an extra person or two could easily fit comfortably in each row). Also, the lobby tends to be very crowded with personal belongings, as people leave their shoes/bags/etc. all over the place (including on the bench so you cannot even sit down to wait for class), rather than in a cubby or locker. A simple solution at this location would be more storage and organization for shoes/personal belongings (like the Irvine location) to prevent walking hazards.

I started doing yoga consistently after an injury slowed me down with weight lifting. This is the best yoga studios I've been able to find in the Orange County area after trying many. They offer beginners yoga to advanced (heated) as well as other strength-building classes for a variety of options.

The front desk staff is great, always cheerful, happy to help, and honestly super funny. Absolutely zero attitudes which can be a deterrent with newcomers at other studios. The yoga instructors are amazing. They are super good about form to prevent injuries and super good with helping improve your practice. Lola, Laurie, Elizabeth, Sarah, MJ, Amber and all the other instructors are so good at what they do. It is great that there are several locations which is great if you are not always in the Newport area. Give Ra a shot if you are in the market for a new studio.

If you like spending money for a membership and set aside time in your busy schedule to go to a class only to get turned away for every class because it is "full" then this is the place to go!!!

Really enjoy going here because of the classes and people. There's a lot of different classes to try and they are always very different. Working a 9-5, I don't have much time to workout so it is nice to have different options throughout the evening. The only issue is sometimes class can fill up due to class pass or just a good teacher which means you have to go home. I wish there was more space.

My friend Kaya recommended this spot to me for Prenatal Yoga. So, I signed up for their intro offer for two weeks unlimited classes at any of their four locations: Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, Irvine and Long Beach. Parking was tough, but I got really lucky to get a spot in the parking lot. Apparently there is free valet in the neighboring parking lot (sorry I don't know which one) What I did see was do not park on the street on Wednesdays in the morning till 12:30 pm? Check the signs. They give tickets. The front desk was super friendly and welcoming! Explained where everything was. The studio didn't smell of sweat and was kept very clean. I was blown away by Francesca. I had attended a couple of other prenatal classes that didn't feel much different from a regular yoga class other than everyone was pregnant. I had imagined that the prenatal yoga classes would be smaller but had more of an opportunity to develop a bit of a mama community. It is a beautiful thing we are going through and I had thought it would be easy to connect. Not the case with the other classes. I left those classes feeling unfulfilled. Francesca started with a quick getting to know the moms, what stage in their pregnancy, where we were giving birth - just little things to feel a connection. Then she took us into mentally preparing for yoga, she referred to us being connected to our babies, visualizing the ideal position for our babies to be born, etc. She'd engage us in a bit of conversation, where the moms all got to share a food craving or something to develop the community feel. I was so happy the rest of the day. My friend Kaya heard me raving about how happy I was that I went to the class instead of church (yup, I go on Wednesdays). Then the husband was really happy cause he saw what an impact the class had on me. I'd highly recommend going to Ra Yoga for Prenatal Yoga! It's great! :)

Ra Yoga goes against everything that "real" yoga is all about. Ra is for people who don't understand the fundamentals and foundation of yoga. They won't be afraid to turn you away. Isn't yoga suppose to be accepting of all others? Odd.....I'll stick my studio. You can keep your free comp class.

I love Ra Yoga. I went there with a gift certificate from a friend. The class was perfect for beginners to advanced students. I sweat so much and I loved it. I can't wait to go back after the holidays. Everyone should try it.

Bought a 10 class package for Ra Yoga and so glad I did not pay full price for this studio. Parking is a nightmare, there is 1 restroom for everyone to share and the instructors are sub par. Avoid taking Jackie's classes at all costs! She is condescending and rude, seems to forget that she is getting paid to teach a class NOT belittle & patronize the customers paying to take her class. Completely ignored me in the locker room after her class. I hope she reads this and understands how detrimental her terrible attitude is to her trade and this establishment. I will definitely not be returning after my 10 classes are up and will suggest to all my friends in the Newport area to spend their $ elsewhere. You can definitely find other yoga studios in the area with more professional instructors and better amenities. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!!

I love Ra Yoga! I've tried a couple different studios and Ra just has it all! I started out with the hot classes with Matt and now I'm getting into the yogalates classes. Jen Irene was the sub last night but OMG she spiced it up and kicked my butt! I'm not a big worker outer but she made it fun and different. I really enjoyed it!

I love Ra Yoga. Joceyln Arnett is my most favorite yoga instructor. She challenges her students and every class from yogalates, strength and vinyasa 2 is always so good and different every time. She motivates and has such a positive energy! Thanks Joceyln for kicking my ass and for all your positivity you give to your students.
