This is the worst pharmacy that I have ever had. The foreign people there have no clue what they are talking about and when they don't know...they just lie. I am not as stupid as they think and I do know lying when I hear it. They should have been fired a long time ago. Save YOURSELF grief and go anywhere else. This place is the worst OF THE WORST. The grocery store prices are way more than PRICES than at the other Pavilions. This place is out to rip-off people with any Chance that they get. They exploit each and every customer as they are only concerned about their income. This store needs to be purchased by an ethical chain. Buy your Rx, and buy your food anywhere but here. Newport Beach Pavilions in Balboa is everything that this poor excuse for a store and a pharmacy is not....its the people that make the difference and the people here are loathsome. This store needs courtesy lessons from the Balboa Stores. VONS, Safeway, Pavilions...get a clue and audit this place.... you need all new staff or to sell the store to somebody who can fix it. At the time that I write this, this store only has a 2-star rating and that is way overrated. Safeway..... Fix it or close it as it is giving the rest of the Pavilion's chain and Safeway a very bad reputation. Thom Blair

I recently had a terrible experience at Pavilions Pharmacy that I feel compelled to share. Despite receiving a text message notifying me that my prescription was ready for pick-up, I had to wait an unreasonable amount of time before being told that the medication was out of stock. To make matters worse, the staff member who was responsible for helping me was incredibly unprofessional. This middle-aged Asian female employee seemed to be unfamiliar with the pharmacy's procedures and was extremely rude. She made mistakes with my medication and its pricing and, when I pointed out her errors, she blamed me for the problem. Her attitude was very unpleasant, and she even told me, "I don't need you to tell me how to do my job."It was clear that this employee lacked the necessary training and had a terrible attitude towards customers. I was frustrated by the whole experience and disappointed by the way I was treated. It's unacceptable for a pharmacy to have staff members who behave in such a manner, especially when it comes to handling prescription medications.I hope this review serves as a warning to other potential customers of Pavilions Pharmacy. The unprofessionalism and rudeness of this employee is unacceptable, and I will not be returning to this pharmacy in the future.

The pharmacy staff and pharmacist go above and beyond to fill, help and offer information. What many people don't realize is that they are often short staffed. I highly recommend this pharmacy!

The staff was very disrespectful and gave cold shoulder to me. ):/Today I went to the pharmacy to pick up my prescriptions and the staff in the front desk was very disrespectful. I was paying with card and as I pick up the pen, the staff surprisingly scribbled on the screen and clicked next right after. I felt very disappointed towards this rude behavior and I hope the Pavilions Pharmacy can do something with this.

The ABSOLUTE worst. I had open heart surgery recently and the doctors at Hoag sent my prescriptions here. The pharmacist refused to fill the prescriptions. The prescription was clearly dated for Christmas Eve but to start Christmas Day. They are closed Christmas Day and we needed to fill out the prescription for my heart protection. We asked the doctors to resend and they did. Pharmacist said come back in an hour. When we came back, she again refused to fill prescriptions saying "we're closing now". We have filed a complaint with the board against them. And the mean lady says "go ahead. I'm a union employee". Nice. If you need medications to stay alive, best to avoid this place. They are the WORST!!!

Always a line. Always slow. Always approval problems. Always problems and computer glitches. Always miscommunications. If all this sounds good to you, this is your pharmacy. I can't get enough of it. Plus it's right on my way home, so I'm sticking with them in hopes of a miraculous change that never seems to come.

1. Terrible customer service; 2. Old ineffective technology; 3. Archaic processes; 4. Poor communication; 5. Changed my pharmacy after 6 weeks.

Went here three times and each time had disappointing service so I switched to a new pharmacy. Also note: they close everyday 12-1pm for lunch (as just one small example).

I appreciate the staff at Pavilions Pharmacy for their attention to detail and helpfulness. The line for service can look pretty daunting at times but the staff keeps good spirits and provides quick turnaround. I especially appreciate the text message notifications when prescriptions are ready for pickup. Thanks to the Ladies and Gentlemen at this location.

If you want to waste 1/2 of your day picking up antibiotics this is the place for you. Plus they have 4 people behind the counter and are still closed for lunch from 12-1. Mismanaged. First in line after they took a lunch and it still was 14 minutes.

Called eight times over two days to ask if my prescription would be ready. They never answered. Had to go in person when I ran out of medication. When I arrived and spoke to a cashier, there was an hours' wait as they re-entered my insurance information (they already had that) and re-entered my "expired" coupon (it hadn't expired, it was the same document, they just didn't save the info). As I was paying to leave, I asked the cashier, "what can I do to make this take less time in the future?" For some reason this upset a woman working behind the pharmacy desk; she came out and started yelling at me about how much paperwork was required to fill my prescription. While doing so, she yelled the prescription name out loud, which is a HIPPAA violation. But regardless. If all of this paperwork is why I had to wait... maybe answer your phone? And we can get the paperwork done while I'm not standing in your store? So my boss doesn't get mad at me for taking a 2 hour lunch?Bad place, poor staff. 0 stars is more appropriate, but sadly not an option.

They never answer the phone. Their mailbox is full and there is always complication with approving medication. Long wait each time.
