I’ve been at at this location a few times. This last time I went, I was getting a polish change and a nail fix. They charge me $58. It’s such a rip off here.

Went in because I had a horrible hangnail and I was looking to buy a nail clipper off them. The girl at the front desk just asked one of the nail technicians to clip it for me. It was super quick and easy. Was really thankful for that because I was in a bit of a rush. Super nice of them.

I expected more from such an expensive fancy Newport Beach nail salon. My nails are not even, not the same width and lumpy. Super disappointedService: Acrylic nails

Great nail salon. Nicely decorated, staff friendly and knowledgeable and whole experience was enjoyable.

Excellent! One of the few places that uses autoclave to sterilize instruments. Very important.

I called and made an appointment for gel nails in ombre and a pedicure. On the phone I was assured that they did hombre, fast forward to my appointment and the girl who put my nail sign said she had limited experience in ombre and I should have told them on the phone that I wanted ombre, I explained to her that I had told them not once but twice and again when I got there that I wanted someone experience with ombre. After I am there in the chair and she’s working on the nails she tells me she does not know how to do colored ombre. She said she would try and she put on a full set of nails that was so much narrower than my own nail beds it looked ridiculous she did do a decent job on the hombre but kept reminding me that I should have told them on the phone… Which I did. She told me how much it would be $87, so I had her do it along with my pedicure I get up to the front and they tell me my total is $178 I was stunned. I paid and left and my nails are so narrow that my nails underneath hang out on either side she is very inexperienced to do this kind of work and I don’t know why they charge me all they did when I got up to pay, I will never go back there.Services: Pedicure

This was my favorite salon for a pedicure. I had the best nail tech here, but then she quit. Thereafter, I tried several techs but have been unable to get a service that meets my expectations, so I left a message for the owner but had no response. Over the course of two months, I left several messages for the owner, both in person and via phone, asking for Tracy the owner to please call me and also attempted to email them directly, but the email on the website is not a working email address and has no "@" symbol in it....something I think Glo Nail Bar did intentionally so they could appear to have email address, but not have to deal with it. I have built websites and know that the first thing you make sure to be correct is all your contact info and if it was and typo or incorrect, they would have had it corrected and would provide a valid email address. I also submitted a message via the contact page of the website but since I get no reply I can't say if that is a successful way to reach the owner. Thus in my case, Tracy the owner has not responded to many messages to address my concerns. I am told by the staff, that she is never in the stores working, is just in and out, and while I was having pedicures for over a year at this location, I never met her, but if the front desk reception is any indication of her style of customer service...well then I should know better then to try to reach out as sadly, I have never encountered a warm friendly person at reception...and only have memories of cold, robotic receptionist that never smile! If you have ever seen the movie "Idiocracy" the demeanor of the receptionists are like the scenes where Joe Bowers (Luke Wilson) is in the medical facility and people are trying to push basic buttons with pictures on them. What I love about this salon and the reason I was willing to pay a premium to go to this salon is because the nail techs speak English and they do not yell across the salon, nor do the nail techs sit and speak in a foreign language with each other...and complain about their customer, meaning "you" as you are sitting there, meaning the nail techs are respectful and attentive to the customer they are working on. So in that aspect the atmosphere is very pleasant as well as the is the spacing of patrons.

They didn't have any time for me at all on 2:30 in the afternoon on Thursday. I saw they had empty chairs. It says more about them than it does about me. I wont be back. The girl in the front should consider fixing her little cow piercing too.

Very disappointed with my visit. The visit felt very rushed. They did my nails and pedicure at the same time and it was not a relaxing experience. My pedicure is very messy and my toes are still dirty looking. One of my toes has already fully peeled off after 6 hours. For the price of this service I would have expected a lot better.

Super accommodating! On a whim, I stopped for a mani/pedi and got right in - no wait. Amazing. Quite a few options for your fingers and toes are offered. A lot of color options too. The technicians were friendly and efficient.

The place is nice and they do a good job but they must have raised their prices after Covid. IMO $50 is rather steep for a basic pedicure. Even with a glass of champagne.Service: Pedicures

Got a last minute appointment with Chelsea for an acrylic fill and gel polish. She does a great job. I love giving her an idea and saying go for it. I have yet to be disappointed when she does my nails. Today was my patriotic set.

Went here, as a walk-in, for a gel manicure and they were able to fit me in quickly. End result was nice and loved the color. Highly recommend!

PROS: Bougee, chic, elegant decor and an overall luxury nail experience. Unlike most nail salons, nail artists are well-spoken and friendly.CONS: First impression by the front desk is far from a luxury experience. Specifically, Tina at the CDM location is unfriendly and the best way to describe her demeanor is blatantly RUDE. When you go to an upscale establishment, you expect to be treated like a queen and to feel amazing when you leave.. my personal experience is I feel like I have to detox from her negative energy and it puts me in a bad mood having to interact with such a low-class human being.MANAGEMENT: One word. UNPROFESSIONAL. After 6 months of being a loyal client, I had a HORRIBLE experience with my last gelx application at the Costa Mesa location by Nina, my nails were not only visibly atrocious but they started lifting within a week (this is where the fake nail detaches from the nail bed and pulls on the natural nails, which creates alot of pain). I spoke with the manager, Haley multiple times and requested a call-back directly from the owner Tracy, not only was she unresponsive but the only solution they provided was a 50% discount on my next service vs fixing my damaged set. The only reason why I returned one last time was to give their management team an opportunity to regain my trust/confidence as a client and to address the damage Nina did to my nails, I have attached pictures after the removal of the gelx and to show the painful bruises on my natural nails. I am in DISBELIEF that after raising this issue with Tracy and Haley that NO ONE personally came over to speak with me to resolve the issues.CONCLUSION: When you go to a place like this, you would expect quality customer service.. ESPECIALLY when there are any issues, you would expect a luxury 360 experience through and through. After all, it’s happy clients that turn into loyal clientele.. GLO Nail Bar has lost me as a client and I will continue to spread the word with my network. I am beyond DISAPPOINTED and based on principle alone, I refuse to financially support a business that doesn’t deserve it.Service: Gel manicure
