I was racially profiled in your store and I was really taken aback to the point that I asked the security guy to take a picture of me paying for my things that I was buying to let him know that I was paying for the items that I had! When I was asked if I had ever shopped with Bloomingdales/ I said yes the young lady at the counter asked for my phone number. So, I gave it to her she said oh, You're not in our system would you like a Loyalty card? I said sure. the man came even closer toward me for some reason. I am A Black man and when the Security said he was in lost prevention his odious look was very disrespectful which was why I asked him to take the Picture of me paying for the things on the counter. I felt Embarrassed and Profiled

I loved everything about this store! The beauty of the store’s layout and displays, the warmth and friendliness of sales people as well as great customer service. I worked here for about four months when my husband and I were in transition with jobs back in early 1998. I loved working here and wish I could do it all over again.

This past Saturday I went in with my kids to purchase a Nespresso machine. I was dressed casually keep in mind no flashing of jewelry or purse just a basic day. I waited patiently for 23 minutes with my kids as other sales associate looked at me but IGNORED ME ! They probably assumed I couldn't afford a $400 coffee machine? Anyhow not one sales associate got help for me !!!! I will be closing my account with Bloomingdales and if anyone has an email address please share it so I can email the manager. This was unacceptable and it truly made me feel sick to my stomach to think that people behave this way.

You may want to reconsider walking into that store all together...I spend good money there (mostly online so I can avoid sales idiots). I was In the home section trying to clear up a mess THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE for. Called for follow-up never got a response from " Charles " who said he would be in contact. I won't bore you with their mediocrity - but now I have to follow-up with the store GM. You have been warned.

I will never shop at Bloomingdale's again. I'll try to make this review as short as possible. My cousin had given my mom a gift card several years ago. It don't remember the exact amount, but I believe it was around $300. I wanted my mom to use the gift card so I took her to this location. After my mom picked out some items, she tried to use the card and the cashier was taking a while to process the payment. Minutes later, I see a couple of ladies who were the managers approach us. I believe I was speaking to the store manager, but she did not offer an introduction. She said that she had made an attempt to call their customer service department to find a record of our gift card but they couldn't find anything. To paraphrase, she said we must not have done something right because they don't have any record of it. She asked if we had a receipt, but back when my mom received the card, people didn't typically give receipts with gift cards because the gift card was supposed to be all you needed. At that moment, my mind was spinning because I just couldn't believe that this gift card could have just vaporized. From my perspective, it was as good as money. I asked if it's possible that the store had been bought out or merged with another company and maybe the card was lost in their database system. She informed me with a smug look that they are still under the same ownership and shook her head. At this point, I was just so angry but I managed to ask if there's any other possibility. She informed me that there is not. I know she didn't come out and say it, but it felt the same as if she was insinuating that we stole the card and tried to use it. After leaving the store, I was totally unsatisfied with the answer I was given. I went online to search for how things like this could happen, and I came across this relevant article from ABC news https://abcnews.go.com/Business/gift-card-lose/story?id=45100635. I felt somewhat vindicated, but I started to wonder how a store manager was not aware of this type of situation. If she had blamed criminal activity for the loss of the card, I would have felt much better than having her make us feel like the criminals. A month later, my brother came to visit, and he said he would like to give Bloomingdales a call. He said that they found the card number in the archives, but their customer service didn't know how to handle the situation so they would give him a call back. Guess what? No call back. I can't be the only person who has been treated this way by this company. I refuse to support a company that does not know how to handle a situation like this and was not able to protect their customers. And on top of that, to make customers walk away feeling horrible like that is just unacceptable. Thank you for taking the time to read this review.

Went shopping last weekend. Found out my credit card was cancelled due to inactivity. I guess I'll have to go else where to shop with the convience of a card. Main stream retail is dead.

After my disastrous experience with Bloomingdales a few years ago, i thought i would give the store another try due to them having the shoes my mother wanted. At the store they let us know that they did not have the San Edelman "Clara" shoes in a 7.5 but they could order it online. While checking out, the sales person guaranteed that it would get here in a week. We also agreed to open a credit card because it would give us a good discount and free shipping to the house. Well it has been more than a week since we ordered it and the shoes arrived. The shoe box describes the correct shoe but when we opened the box it was not only the wrong shoe but it was used with scuff marks and a bad odor. Very upsetting. We called the customer service number on the receipt to rectify the situation and get the correct shoe thinking they would be understanding and apologetic but we got quite the opposite reaction. We were put on hold for ten minutes then we spoke to Daniel, who said "it's still black shoes." For him, this might be okay but clearly it's not okay. He explained our only option is to return the shoe first and wait another who knows how long until we get the correct shoes. I told him no. We would only be returning the shoes once we get the correct pair and we want it to be expedited to us. To do that, he said he's going to charge us for both shoes... I'm not sure if that sounds okay with you, but for me it didn't. Daniel was rude and did not seem to understand why we are so upset. Bloomingdale's needs to urgently work on their customer services and create policies that will prevent this from happening to other customers. We now await for the correct pair of shoes and for someone to hopefully contact us to rectify, explain why this happened and apologize. Please be careful when you're ordering items to be sent to you from another Bloomingdale's store and keep low expectations for dealing with its customer service.

Shame on this store. Really shame on this brand. My wife purchased a pair shoes at the store. They did not have her size so they offered to send her a pair of Clara shoes by express mail. She received a pair of used loafers in another model. Used and smelly. Then we call the call center. Spoke to Daniel Id number 91153690. Not only he was disrespectful also he did not apologize properly. He wanted just to receive back the wrong shoe. Process again the new order and done. Fine in a normal situation, but this is not normal. After 10 days we received a pair of used loafers in the correct box. This all happened after my wife was convinced to open a credit card for a good deal and for "vip" status with benefits. Guess what. It was not. Shame on Bloomingdales. I will update this with more since wife spoke with someone at the store and they will try to fix it. Still shame on them. And especially on Daniel.

My daughter and I came in to return two items that were gifted to her for graduation. The last time we came into this store, we had a horrible experience. No one wanted to help us. It was such a waste of our time. This time, we were approached by Henna, who was so nice and helpful. Unfortunately, the two items that were given to my daughter had no tag or gift information. Henna went out of her way and found the receipt for us. It took up some time, but we didn't mind at all. We even bought three pairs of sunglasses with her, which we didn't even plan on doing. She also assisted us with my daughter's bracelet that broke. We live in Glendale and she called, telling me about the repair timeframe and the tracking number, which arrived today! I couldn't be more happy and neither could my daughter. We will be coming back to fashion island very soon!!

The service has really go down hill since my last review. They have a new salesman is name is Robert he is very incompetent . They had some really good sales people years ago i think their names were Joy, Elizabeth and i think his name was Brad. They all were very professional and knowledgeable.This Robert guy doesn't know nothing. I am surprised that Bloomingdales would hire a guy like this. I will never buy a mattress from them again.

Restaurant on the patio is SURPRISINGLY GREAT !! If you haven't been here on a sunny day, then you are in for a real treat! We were shocked at how many delicious menu items they can offer from such a small kitchen. They really take pride in the preparation of their dishes so that the quality has been consistent every time we've been there. Once we discovered it, about seven months ago, we kept going on a regular basis, and have never been disappointed. The service at lunchtime has been excellent every single time we've been there. They are relaxed and welcoming, and even allow dogs on the patio, while keeping it a clean and bistro like environment. The salads are my favorite, but their Panini sandwiches and wraps were popular with our guests. We have even taken business clients there, and they were so surprised at the quality of the food and generous portions, not to mention the ambience. I hope this wonderful gem doesn't get overcrowded by this popular review, but I also hope it stays here forever with the same great staff and quality chef.

Sales people are very judgmental. Won't pay attention to you, if they feel like you can't afford their stuff. Don't appreciate their attitude.
