I had my package stolen from someone who works here. I am filing a police report now. I would never trust anyone in this post office with your mail or packages. BEWARE

I dono y'all seem pretty hard on the place. Does anyone like going to the PO? No, we do not.Should they try harder to deliver the dang mail? Yes, they really should. Let's be nice to people who are helpful and doing their best. I suspect some higher-ups, neglect or bureaucracy is to blame. Let's get those people.Delivery attempted: Unfortunately, USPS couldn't complete your Amazon delivery. They'll try again. More info atLIES

The worst usps if you’re having packages delivered to your home. Say they can’t access or was delivered and wasn’t. Never had this many issues.

This post office is negligent and riddled with theft. I do not recommend shipping or receiving any packages in Nevada City, they are highly mismanaged and there are postal service carriers and employees stealing mail actively at this location.

Visited this post office today to pick up some packages and acquire keys to my mailbox. Was in and out in 15 minutes. The representative was incredibly helpful in acquiring my keys, helping me to update my address and even helped to bring out my heavy package.

Very impolite staff and very grumpy. The delivery drivers will find any excuse to not deliver mail.

It seems what I was going to write has been said by all the negative reviews I have read. This Nevada City Post Office needs to reevaluate their delivery drivers. When UPS or FedX delivers I get my packages every time. When this Post Office delivers it is intermittent or you don’t get it at all! OR they deliver it to the wrong address. I am specifically talking about Banner Lava mountain area.UPDATE! My package from Amazon said the post office delivered it .I see a picture of my $60 package on Amazon order stating it’s been delivered 5 days ago. It is a picture of my package sitting on the ground next to a locked gate on somebody’s property. I don’t have any gates! Those people aren’t apparently not honest enough to return it to me or the post office. This is the 2nd time this has happen to me. Geez! Common sense tells you if you can’t find an address to deliver the package return it to Post Office and put a note in my mailbox! I would gladly pick it up myself instead of losing my order and my money!

The post office's job is to deliver mail . The carriers and clerks are understaffed and overworked because it it such a hard and strenuous job. They were never ment to deliver 1000s of packages AND mail. These people are risking their lives every day and doing twice the work with packages with the same pay. If you want to change the post office, go apply and give them the help they so desperately need. When you're out in the cold and in the dark walking up to people's front door, worried about people with guns and dogs coming out of nowhere, you might start to understand why UPS and FedEx can deliver packages and why the United Post Office delivers mail. They shouldn't even have to deliver packages, they are made to on top of their very important job of delivering mail. Maybe talk to Amazon about delivering their own packages. Maybe talk to UPS about dropping packages at the post office EACH MORNING. The issue isn't and never was lazy carriers. Each and every carrier is lucky to have a day off. Even after working for 15 + years. Laziness is not the issue. Doing an impossible amout of work on a time limit while driving your personal vehichle is the issue. Cut these poor souls some slack. They are an integral part of your community and your ignorance of just how overworked these people are is disgraceful really. So next time you complain about going to get a package, which is not, in fact, the post office's duty(mail is) remember who comes to your home every day, rain, snow, and dark of night, and delivers your mail, picks up your mail, and, let's face it, delivers thousands of packages on top of servicing 500+ mailboxes. The government is at fault. Amazon is at fault. Patrons who complain about one wrong thing, when this person has done 1500 other things that day(while driving rural roads all day) are at fault. Postal carriers are dying on the road all over the country trying to carry out these impossible expectations. God forbid they don't deliver your package exactly where you want it!

Tired to get a adress to server legal paper work from one of the older gals that work here. She told me that just because I have a county ID badge saying I'm a process server didn't mean anything to her. I needed to come back with a Subpoena ? ? ? I do plan on filing a formal complaint because what she did was IllegalI didn't waste my time going backAnd just paid $5 to a website to get the address that I needed.

Nicole was super helpful. Answered the phone within a few rings and helped track down my package and get it on it's way to me. I know from experience that it is challenging to work in an atmosphere where there is a lot of information, potential chaos, and customers who can be testy. Thank you USPS for delivering mail at such an inexpensive rate!

Mail delivery to my residence is intermitent so the only reason I go to this office is to get my mail. The location of the post office often times has challenging parking. For non-delivery issues I usually go to the postal services at the SPD market.

False claims of "attempted delivery"; items lost; packages left where rain, snow or sprinklers can damage goods; items often arrive later than shipper promised; packages forced and jammed into box to avoid delivery to door. In contrast, I've had only polite, efficient service when using counter service in the post office.

The old hag Alice has completely, single handedly destroyed this post office. She cannot do her job correctly, blames the customers when she makes a mistake (which is often), refuses to get packages, has smirked when packages from family never arrive/go missing mysteriously (she makes it clear she steals packages - a felony), she complains about her co-workers to customers, postal workers who are good at their job are demoralized by her terrible behavior & leave. If you have to use this post office and have these experiences I encourage you to get in touch with the post master. We need to get this woman out.
