Dishonest business. Refuses to post honest but somewhat critical reviews and Henry Shires is insulting and rude. Other companies let you post a review based on your experiences. Not this one. Beware!!!!

The pole strap came off on the first use. The company won't offer a refund, only a repair. So for $400 I get a repaired tent, plus my wasted time. Waiting what's gonna break next. Condensation was terrible

One of the premier "cottage industry" tent makers in the US. The designs are extremely interesting and push the boundaries of the envelope. They strive for function and durability and light weight. I've purchased two tents in the last year, a one man double walled tent for four season use and a two man single wall ultralight tent. Both are excellent with high quality materials and beautiful workmanship. They provide seam sealing service at a price. Website is easy to use and has great videos of the products. I've never had to contact them for help, but a friend had a pole snap the first time he used it and they were less than helpful when he contacted them. Granted, you never know when a user damages a tent if it was negligence or not, but that shouldn't be your default position when it comes to customer service.

My wife and I have the Tarptent StratoSpire Li. We think it's the best 2 person tent ever made for it's light weight. It took a while for delivery to the UK but it was well worth the wait.

My experience with these guys couldn't be any different than "Post M." Every time I've emailed or asked a question online I've gotten a very quick response. I even got a reply to a question I asked over the Christmas/New Year holiday which I was not expecting. So far I'm very happy with these guys and will continue to use them in the future.

Of all the tent companies out there, tarptent is the best. Tarptent is a small, cottage company, which allows for amazing attention to detail and quality! I've purchased many tarptents over the years and Henry never ceases to amaze me. His engineering prowess is seen in the superior design of the Aeon Li. A great review on this tent was done recently by Ryan Jordan of backpackinglight.
