The customer service was extremely poor. I asked nicely where my item was since they were closing in 30 mins. It was my first time at this store and I wanted to get it quickly and pay. The female worker was very rude. I decided to ask a second female worker. She also had a very poor attitude. I asked a couple more questions since that's the only store I can by my item nearby.
My advice to the workers is - change your attitude and help people politely. The money with which customers pay is going to your paycheck. Be polite to customers - more when customers are asking nicely and just asking for information they need.

You have to wait almost an hour to get your meds, even when the line is short.

I have only been here for the pharmacy. It's a small location for sure, and they definitely look busy, but it's visible that the staff is going as fast as they realistically can. I have used the drive thru pharmacy the last 2 times, and it wasn't bad. In regards to the store, their hours don't match the door sign or their app, I think it shows something different as well, so I just don't bother. My insurance no longer lets me use CVS, so it's either this or waiting for mail service. So far, I have had no issues with the pharmacy section. I shall continue to get my meds here until something terrible happens.

The cashiers were nice, but this place is clearly mismanaged. It's very inefficient and there's not a whole lot of sympathy regarding the wait times. While I waited for an hour, I saw many unsatisfied customers. I would avoid this location if possible.

Can this Walgreens have any lower rating? I thought people were joking about their ratings but I can say I experienced the terrible service firsthand. Today I went to Walgreen. All I have to say are 3 words:TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!I'm surprised Corporate doesn't do anything about this store. It is like the wild west, everyone does what they want and don't even acknowledge you as a person. I dealt with the manager and beside being rude, she doesn't look you in the eyes, or even listens to you. She just walked away! All I can do is laugh and learn from this experince. Don't ever go to this store for any Fedex service. Its non-existent.

I came here to get some otc medication and also took a pint of ice cream so I can use my coupon. Coupon says $7 off on any $20+ purchase.. the medication I got is about $14 and ice cream is about 6.99. The total amount is $21+ but the lady said my coupon wouldn't go thru because it needs to be more than $20 minus tax. I complied by getting a small pack of gum and so that made it $23.65. I paid and didn't get any receipt because I get that thru email. I found out that I was charged the total $23.65 so the Latina cashier lady didn't use my coupon but took it from me. She forgot to use it? Idk? Or maybe she wanted to use it for her own.. I've been around he hood for long and this are the kind of people that annoys me.

If you read other reviews, many customers complain about the pharmacy experience and clearly upper management does not care enough to do something about the lack of service. Could it be because this location is in National City and management does not think a diverse and lower income area deserves respect and access to their prescriptions in a timely manner??? I've had antibiotics called in and because of staffing issues I can't get my medication. Recently I dropped off a prescription on a Friday, it was supposed to take 30 min, I got a text to pick up Saturday morning. I went to pick up and the pharmacist "stepped out for 30min" when it was really the pharmacist went to lunch earlier than what is posted online.Walgreens management should be ashamed! Everyone including the sick, elderly, low income deserve a quality experience and at this pharmacy....good luck. Better off going to CVS down the street.

Literally the worst pharmacy place to go to. Waited in line for 40mins when there was only like 3 of us in line. Them pharmacists needs some more training to do.

The main reason I give it a 2 star is that it is clean and presentable, and the ladies are personable however... I'm so late on my prescriptions because they cave been called in twice and still I go to pick them up because I get no call saying they are ready.. NEVER had this problem before but this is where my insurance approved.. currently sitting here waiting close to an hour I even went to Vallarta and picked up a few things ..On the other hand; I was a bit impatient stopped to think .. it is a much smaller pharmacy with a big load!! They are always busy and even the pharmacist apologized for the long wait! Didn't take these things into consideration so we will stay at 2 and see about next time!

If you can avoid this pharmacy please do. ALWAYS short staffed. Some days they close early with no warning, some days it's only drive thru , there's always an issue. And then if they are open , the wait it ridiculous. Just avoid tbh. Not even worth it.

If there is 0 star, I would give them that. I was on hold for 45 mins last week to check my mon's prescription, someone picked up the phone and put me again on hold, they did it three times, I ended up hanging up. I was on hold again today and the automated machine stated that there were 3 people ahead of me and I have been on hold of 30 minutes and it kept saying that there are STILL 3 callers ahead of me. Aren't they helping others? The numbers of callers were not going down. What a joke! They have to hire more people- their customer service is bad! It was finally my turn after 48 minutes on hold, I heard the real ring but it kept ringing and ringing and after 50 minutes on hold, someone hanged up on me. WTF! I did not even had my chance to check the prescription status.

I have tried multiple times to get my prescription at this pharmacy since October 11th. They only filled one out of the two prescriptions I need to be taking every month. The Pharmacy needed to get my PPO insurance authorization. I'm still in need of my Rx, utterly a waste of time and energy. We decided to call today prior to driving there. We were on hold for nearly an hour. The wait was like watching grass grow. So we I called from our other phone and spoke with a store personnel. Carolina was very courteous and apologetic for the Pharmacy closing so early. She said they are only open from 8am to 4 - '4:30PM. Due to being understaffed. As far as we know, this was their excuse back on Oct 11th. Notice screenshots exposing their hours posted and my call as we waited and waited on hold. Their recording states "Please hold as we are attending other callers. You have 3 callers ahead of you. Trickling it down to , there is 1 caller ahead of you." It is my belief, that this Store #7869, does not care to respect its patrons, in fact, I see discrimination. This Walgreen's is located on the corner of Euclid & Plaza, at 885 Euclid Ave National City, CA. in a neighborhood occupied primarily by Hispanics, Black's and Philippinos. I am most certain, the Walgreen's in Coronado, or Rancho San Diego, would not act so dismissively towards their patrons. How is it even feasible to believe that Walgreens cannot find any suitable candidate on Indeed, Monster.com, etc. At the very least, leave a recorded message stating that the pharmacy is STILL UNDERSTAFFED and closing almost 5 hours early. I will now have to have my doctor reissue my prescription at a CVS. I am thinking of inquiring if they are understaffed? And if they close early unannounced?
