I stopped by Brass & Bass in Murrieta, CA to accompany my sis to inquire about and purchase a handgun around 1:30PM PST.
We were greeted by Mr. Bill Nichols, the owner of the shop when we entered to store.
Mr. Nichols is a very welcoming knowledgeable, fun, outgoing owner.
He took his time to show my sis different types of guns, talked about the recoils on each of them, the price, the safety, their availability, how they'll fit on one's body in the event one wanted to have a CCW, he talked about ammo, and how to purchase them, the price and the quantity, the exam for those that never purchased a gun before, the application, the waiting period...
I'm am not even talking about the time he took to throw some jokes here, and there...
I know, some of you would say that it's a good tactic for a good business person, but not all business people apply that methodology. Heck, I'll prefer to go to a store where someone like Bill is working to purchase my handgun. I will just do that when the time comes.

NB: just in case you didn't get the hint, YES, I recommend this store.
YES, I'll come back here again.

The shop person was really nice and I will be going there for all my ammo needs. This was the only ammo shop who had my caliber ammo w/hollow points

Bought a used Glock 30 here (Got a great deal and price!). Had my AR serviced, upgraded and made compliant (Again). Also dropped in to ask some very stupid questions. Always recieved 5 star service. Good people.

From my couple of trips in to B&B, I got the impression that the owner is the type of guy that genuinely wants to help cust's, not just sell products. Ultimately sales & repeat business is downstream from customer service. Let's give this independent shop a chance to thrive. Penny pinchers don't need to read this (because you won't get it) but it's getting more difficult all the time, for small businesses to compete with the big box stores. Paying a few extra bucks to the right people, for the right reasons is good for your karma & for our community.

There is a whole lot of handgun selections and BB Guns. I went there as the new year and i never bought a weapon , i was issued one but never bought one, Any how i decided to go in and ask questions mainly about laws and regulations as california is not a friendly towards weapons of any kind, somehow i made the mistake of calling a rifle "" an assault rifle"" the man behind the counter got triggered *no pun intended*, he starting talking about how the liberal media calls it assault rifle and how its not an assault rifle , and where the AR comes from and what year was made...blah blah..Look maybe i could be brainwashed by the media by calling a rifle an assault rifle out of instinct but wasn't there for a pollical conversation i was there to ask question about the riffle this guy was talking about and guidance to educate myself on current laws with in california. Even my family was there and they all had a bad experience with this... so if you dont mind the politics and and are not new to owning a weapon then this place for u, i personally will look for somewhere alse where political agendas arent shoved down my throat idk maybe i asked too many questions guy thought i was the ATF, nice guy though , not rude and very knowledgeable though, i can say i would be down to drink a beer with him and discuss politics in a different setting.

I am a first time buyer and I highly recommend this place. The service exceeded my expectations! The staff really took their time with me to find the right firearm for my needs. I'm not very knowledgeable in this area but I felt they really helped answer my questions and concerns and explain everything to me in a way that didn't feel overwhelming. I'm very happy with my purchase and I will be a returning customer. I also appreciate their kindness when they stayed open a little later for me so I can pick up my gun before the holiday weekend. Above and beyond customer service!

Over the last few years i have been quite displeased with customer service from gun stores in the area, but my latest experience (today, 11/3/23), has renewed my confidence that excellent customer service still exists. Was told it would take around a month to retrieve my firearm. I ended up picking this place due to a recommendation, but DO NOT COME HERE took almost 3 months and 8 phones calls later for the owner to finally call me to say my firearm was ready.
