Where to begin with this review? I would give zero which is what they deserve! It all started with Chris in Mt. View location November, 2023. He gladly took my $450 for customer orthotics and I felt certain he knew what he was doing. It took until after Thanksgiving to get orthotics. He told me my size shoe to go get, which was an 8, which I did. He put the orthotics in my shoes, did a minor adjustments, and off I went. Tried to reach him throughtout December, with NO luck. He is now consummed with his mother and her issues. January, 2024, back to Mt. view location, now told he doesn't come into that location, and now I need to go to San Jose location which is not convenient. Hence, I made an appt. with Chris in the San Jose location end of January, 2024. He rudely takes a phone call that he needs to take while leaving me sitting there unattended. Then when he comes back, he states the reason for all of your pain is you are in the WRONG SHOE SIZE!! Remember, he told me I needed a size 8, now he is saying, you need 8.5. Spent more money for 8.5, wore them for 20 minutes, and STILL hurting my feet. Back to the San Jose store to return the WRONG shoe he sold me. Almost got turned away by Ray becuase he was feeling my anger. I told him I drove for 45 minutes to get here, and I need this fixed NOW. Now Ray is telling me he will make improvements to my current orthotics, and charging me $26 for that, it will take 3 days, and sold me yet another pain of shoes, now a size 8 which Chris claimed isn't my shoe size. Here we are in February, and no resolution, they don't return their calls, and I have now filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau. Sadly I have spent over $600 and no resolution to why I started this entire process, of fixing my foot problem!!! Shame on this place!!!! Horrible customer service, and no help, and they just want you to go away.

I bought a few pairs of shoes from this location. The employee measured my feet and told me that the current sizes and width of my shoes were injuring my feet. after a delayed period of time, I finally received the shoes and after wearing them for only a few hours, they began to hurt my feet to the point i couldn't wear them any longer.
I returned all of the shoes within a month of the purchase of over $500 in August and have yet to receive a refund (now december). I have called the business multiple times, left multiple voicemails and sent an email. One of the employees claims he has no idea how to handle returns.
After four months of no response, I finally filed a complaint with the better business bureau and hope they will help find a resolution to this.
Do NOT buy from this store. Terrible customer service. I know this store sells orthopedic shoes and support which an elderly population may use and I fear they are likely being taken advantage of.

Would give zero stars if possible. I bought two pairs of shoes here in August. The one pair for work is good. The other pair had to be ordered from a different location. They promised they would arrive in less than a month as I needed them for a trip in mid September. They did not arrive in time. Over a month and a half I had waited for these shoes. So I went to return them when they finally arrived and the owner was not there. The worker there was extremely rude. Stated he can’t do returns and that I should have called before driving down. Terrible business that makes promises that they can’t deliver. They should not be rude to customers when they have failed to deliver on basic customer services.

They are not interested in your business, they do not return calls, they do not keep appointments, and they definitely do not seem to want your business. Sadly, this is the only company in my area that takes my insurance and it's been a couple months and I can't even get a pair of shoes ordered, I'm going online to look for other options since they never answer their phone nor call you back! The absolute worst! Edit... of course they still have not called me back and I have left multiple messages. Luckily somebody informed me that HANGER orthopedics in Santa Rosa and San Francisco (only these two locations in the bay area )both take multiple insurances, including Medicare and Medi-Cal. Sadly, it's only at these two locations but there are options!

While I had great expectations about this place, I went totally disappointed; specially about their way to handle customer complains. I have one foot bigger than the other one (by one size), though the width is inverted (smaller foot is wider). This is a super-important piece of information that I wish I had from the very beginning, and it matches my experience very well. Sadly, this place did not mention anything about that and sold me 3 pairs that do not feel right (total was close to 500 USD).When I asked about a credit note, given the situation, they got all offended; and just talked about their credentials, saying that whoever took those measurements is not as qualified as them, etc. At this point the guy was pretty upset so it was not possible to reason with him, so I got angry as well and hung up the call. I have just lived for about 1.5 years on the Bay Area, but I can certify this has been the worst buying experience so far. Not only I lost my money (all other stores gave me credit after returning shoes); but I even got yelled at by them!Putting aside the technical aspect (they did not solve my problem), and the money problem (they made me waste ~ 500 USD), the main issue I see with this place is their attitude. Truly great skill usually comes together with humbleness, and the later is something they lack entirely; to the point they do not seem to listen properly to their customers. Go figure ...

Fantastic Service. Was able to get my diabetic shoes with a build up and they helped me with all my Medicare paperwork so I did not have to do any myself.

I ordered a pair of shoes from Walk Rite in Mountain View. Customer service was absolutely terrible! I was mistreated by an employee, who yelled at me over the phone saying he would rather give me a refund than have to deal with me… I ordered this pair of shoes in April, and I was told I would get a call when the shoes arrived in store. My money ($180.00) was of course, charged immediately but my shoes wouldn’t come! I kept calling to get updates and they would never respond. I have a broken foot and the employee yelled at me over the phone when I called a month and several weeks later, screaming to stop bothering him and drive ALL the way to San Jose (when I clearly couldn’t due to my injury). Please, take my word and DO NOT buy from Walk Rite, the customers are terribly mistreated!!!

They've moved to 805-C East El Camino Real in MOUNTAIN VIEW. My nav system kept taking me to Sunnyvale. Chris knows the business and is a no nonsense guy. He told me what to bring and what to expect with my order. I'm looking forward for his call to pick up my order.

I have sleep apnea and driving long distances is dangerous for me. They came to my home, made a foot impression and came back a few weeks later with velcro fastened shoes and an insert that after a one week break in has made my walking experience a pleasure again. I would rate my service as 10 out of ten. They were polite, knowledgeable and I received a pair of shoes that help me walk my dogs more often and do that with much less pain in my knees and hips due to a shoe that is very supportive. I would do business with "Walk rite for life" if I needed special shoes. You will not be disappointed!
