By far the best place to stay under $250/night. Beautiful rooms in a perfect location with a stunning view of the bay. We will definitely be back!Rooms: Rooms are big and accommodating. Beds are super comfy and soft pillows. The bathroom is beautiful and the shower was hot.Walkability: You can walk anywhere in a matter of minutes to enjoy all the amenities of Morro Bay. Shopping, food and tourist attractions very close!

This is my favorite place to stay in Morro Bay. Room 111 has been the best one yet.

A quaint motel with clean comfortable rooms, a good view, and a prime location. You're within a short walk to either downtown Morro Bay or the wharf area.

This is a great little hotel. No frills. Nothing over the top. But it's clean, modern, has an electric fireplace in the room which adds a good touch to the ambiance, and the fire pit is a good touch too. We actually called the hotel to book and they were friendly then and we check in. Definitely recommend.

First time staying here and we would stay again! The whole experience was really nice starting from check-in. We got a welcome box of chocolates (so nice) and the front desk clerk was extra friendly! The hotel has very obviously been remodeled And everything was very clean. I’m not sure if it’s all the way done yet but our room was complete at the time of our stay 5/29/2023. We got a 2 bed king room on the 3rd floor and I thought the room was on the tighter side but it had an upgraded digital AC, and a really nice TV with all the apps on it (just make sure to log out of your stuff before you leave!), a really nice fireplace and everyone in my family LOVED the rainfall shower. I put a picture of the view from our balcony, you can see the rock perfect. The only downside was the room didn’t have a pull out sofa as mentioned on the website so that was difficult when it came to space/sleeping arrangements because we were counting on that sofa bed. There is also no microwave in the rooms but there’s a communal microwave in the hall where the ice machine is so not really a big deal-plus it was clean. The real selling points of this hotel is- 1. the location! We walked everywhere. It is literally in the middle of the farmers market, shops, restaurants, and a little downhill walk to the beach. 2. The rooftop deck!! We didn’t know about the deck when booking so that was such a lovely surprise and the view was amazing. It was so peaceful to eat our dinner up there. I’d honestly give this place a 4.5 instead of a 4 if it would let me!

The location is walking distance to the morro rock and cafes and restuarants , but the rooms did not have a decent curtain to make rooms darker, it was noisy , we could not sleep past 6

Great little inn perfectly located in Morro Bay, right between the board walk and and the little village shops. Offers beautiful views of the Bay as it is higher then the sea side inns. Very clean and freshly feeling rooms.Rooms: With paying a few dollars more for the luxury rooms as the are on the top floors with stunning views.Nearby activities: Direct access to the boardwalk from a staircase right in front of the hotel.Great restaurants, kayak, bike rental, whale watching rides.

The rooms were nicely remodeled but that was about the end of the good with The Landing. First and biggest issue. Our room had no sort of blackout or privacy shades over the windows. At night it looked like the middle of a sunny day in our room. There was no way to keep any light out which made for very little and unpleasant sleep. You could also easily see into our room with the shades they did have. The second issue was the madness that happens at night. With no staff on site, the firepit out front turned into a party and teenagers spent the weekend running up and down the walkways yelling and stomping into the early hours of the morning. The third issue was there was no way to get privacy in the bathroom. They did one of those barn door conversations and it would not close all the way. It left a several in gap that you could see in. We had high hopes for this place but won't be returning with the issues we had.

Breakfast is not offered, despite being advertised. Only coffee and tea were provided in the front office. We chose this hotel because we thought it offered breakfast, as advertised online and in our reservation, so that was disappointing. The room was fairly clean but was not cleaned during our stay. Beds could use new mattresses (grooves worn into them). Location is close to the shops and restaurants. Friendly staff.
