I'm no novice to reno, and I can honestly say that the Flooring Discount Center exceeded expectations and was a pleasure to work with. We hired them to install wood laminate flooring in our summer home. The estimate was accurate; the job was started and completed in a timely fashion, and the product and workmanship were superior. They accommodated us on complicated furniture moving, as well. I would definitely recommend them for all your flooring needs.

This company installed new flooring throughout my home. Two days later I had arranged for a new dishwasher to be installed however when the installer arrived he said he could not get the old one out of the space without risk of damaging the new floor because the height available was too tight/small. Flooring company deemed the dishwasher installer incompetent and demanded a different person be sent by phoning directly to Home Depot from whom I purchased the dishwasher. They also deemed Home Depot not knowledgeable in the sale of appliances. Both the owner of Flooring Discount Center and floor installer claimed that the previous old vinyl tiles were removed before the new flooring was laid on top of it. One week later another dishwasher installer came back out to install dishwasher and I hired my handyman (at my expense) to be there to monitor the installation. On the second attempt, it was ALSO impossible to remove the old one and install the new one – however my handyman was able to lift the counter top (this is unusual since usually they are fixed at each end) about ¼ “ and the old dishwasher was able to come out and the new one go in. Each time this dishwasher needs any kind of repair the counter top will need to be lifted. This is necessary because of the extra space taken up by the old vinyl flooring which was left in place and which has a height of about ¼”. Flooring company began hassling me immediately for payment in full (I had paid 80%), threated collections, threatened to put a lien on my house and have now hired an attorney to write me a letter demanding payment in full or else. All of this without them resolving the issue that the problem is with their flooring installer not removing previous vinyl flooring and thus new flooring is too high for an appliance to fit. They act hostilely and without discussion and are super aggressive at resorting to threats and legal action – a mere 18 days after the END of this job and during which they had received 80% of payment owed and I am trying to discuss and resolve this matter with them – all to no avail. Absolutely do not use or trust this company which lies, resorts to harassment, and meddles in others’ business such as by directly phoning Home Depot and telling them how to do their job. Owners of this company, Ethan and Jonnie, suggested that a licensed plumber could cut off the legs of the dishwasher and put on felt pads so that the dishwasher would fit. Need I say more? Photo shows old vinyl tile in place under new flooring.

Happy with new carpet on stairs. Great experience all around. Received good advice with purchase, reasonable priced..
Scheduling and installation time were spot on. Installer went right to work and did a great job. 2nd purchase with Flooring Discount, I would go with them again if I need any flooring done.

Flooring Discount Center in Morro Bay is wonderful! Ethan and Johnny were great to work with, they have an extensive flooring selection, very helpful in finding the right product, delivered the wood on time and did the installation in the exact timeframe they had indicated. No surprises on the estimate at the conclusion of the work. The installers, John and Bryce are top notch and did a beautiful job. Highly recommend this local company for your flooring needs Five Stars!!!
