I had an incredibly frustrating experience at their Monrovia branch. A huge warehouse full of a good variety of furniture which is mostly either out of stock, unavailable, on back order or discontinued. Mr. Firas helped me a lot but every time I was able to match a sofa to an accent chair to a recliner, something would go wrong! Each salesman is equipped with a tablet that checks price & availability and creates an invoice. More than once their system failed to provide accurate information. One salesperson would tell me a specific sofa is available in the default color, another would check and say sorry it’s discontinued. After 2 lengthy visits I’ve paid for a plain beige sofa, which I wasn’t particularly fond of but it was supposedly available for an immediate delivery. Mind you, I’ve just relocated to LA from overseas and was furnishing a totally empty apartment. Based on that sofa, I customized a recliner (to be delivered in 8 weeks) only to receive an email, AFTER the projected sofa delivery date, announcing that it’ll be delayed few weeks. I didn’t want to get stuck with a sofa that isn’t exactly what I wanted, which will be delivered much later than promised, when the whole purpose of buying it was its immediate availability. So I canceled it, which was an easy process. But because the color of the recliner was customized to match the sofa, I wanted to cancel that as well or change the color to a more neutral color to be compatible with whatever sofa I end up buying. They wanted to charge me 25% restocking penalty! I don’t think that was fair because the whole thing was not my mistake. I felt tricked and fooled. They tell you about not keeping their end of the bargain, just after closing the sale knowing well they won’t be able to keep their delivery date.
After numerous phone calls with sales and management, none of whom showed any understanding, I decided to go to the store again to talk face to face with the manager to finalize a solution. Why should I be penalized for something that clearly is not my fault but theirs? Luckily the manager acknowledged their fault & agreed to waive the penalty and I ordered the same chair in its default color. I ended up buying another sofa too. Though the delivery was supposed to be free, they claimed the sofa was too big to go thru the staircase or elevator of my bldg and they needed to hoist it. So I ended up paying $50 for delivery. I have suspicions that was a made up excuse to pocket extra money… who knows!

We went to buy my daughter a mattress and was helped by Ricky. He was so great and patient with us. He gave us a lot of options and explained the process of ordering and delivery. The only negative experience with this transaction was with the supervisor named Sham. The mattress was on back order but he was confusing with his explanation on order timing. After he left, he was overheard by my daughter speaking negatively of me. If you are going to speak badly about a customer, you should probably wait until they leave the store first. Would totally return for Ricky but hopefully won’t have to interact with Sham again!
