I highly recommend SoCal Automotive and Transmission. Greg rebuilt the transmission on my 2015 Chevy Tahoe, which saved me a ton of money over a new one. He did a great job...and it runs like new again!!

Greg is phenomenal and a great technician who goes above and beyond! He takes the time to answer all question that you may have and doesn't treat you like you're a pain in the rear end! He doesn't try to upsell you things you don't need and he starts with the minor things that could be the solution to your issue instead of jumping to the bigger expensive solutions first! He's a great listener and very accommodating and respectful of others. I'm so appreciative that I found him and it was due to the reviews I read. He will be my car man from this point forward!

Greg is super knowledgeable and has tons of experience. Super friendly and very reasonable. Doesn’t try and up-sale you on unnecessary work, but has a keen eye to point out when and where something could go wrong. I will definitely be bringing my cars to him from now on.

Greg is an excellent mechanic, and his knowledge of engines and transmissions is hard to beat. I've been restoring cars for 30 years, when it comes to pulling a trans, custom work, or fixing engine/ trans issues, he is the best out there.

Greg and So Cal Auto are highly experienced and does excellent work. We take out Prius, Audi, and Ford Expedition to So Cal Auto for service and maintenance on a regular basis, and the service is great. Greg is one in very few you can really trust in the OC. He does excellent work and you can rely on a job well done. Getting great service is getting g harder to find these days, and So Cal Auto won't disappoint. 5 stars.

Wow am I impressed. Greg took my call, listened and was courteous. That was a good sign. The warning light on my BMW came on and explained, "that my engine was at half power. Please contact BMW." I was on the freeway and realized my car was operating on the engine alone; no turbo sound or power. I got home, and looked up the probable causes and repair costs. Oh my. Yes it was likely a turbo problem with costs from $2500 up. My mileage matched the common break down type and cost. Fearing the dealer, and not able to find a mechanic around me that knows BMW, a good friend bragged about Greg. He gave my an appointment within three working days. This was fine with me due to holiday schedules. He allows drop-offs the night before too. I met with Greg in the morning. He was kind, listening and did an OBDII check. After checking for only 15 minutes, he told me a time for pick up and an estimate for repair. I got a ride and left Greg to work. Later that afternoon, Greg called on time and on budget. I must say, he is the nicest man in the repair business I have ever met. I've been looking for a mechanic like this for a while. Greg is located far from my home, (27m), but worth every minute of my time. I trust him and his work. Oh by the way, the repair cost was a quarter of the price of the dealer. Now I know that kind of savings can't be had on every repair. But Greg kept it simple and worked in my best intrest, rare indeed. I got in my car and drove it like I stole it, you know to test the turbo. My car is back to wonderful again. Thank you Greg, I will be back.

I was referred to Greg by a friend who has been using him for years. I brought my Volkswagen in (which often requires pricey repairs) that had a warning light on. Greg looked at it and within a few hours told me that the only thing wrong was a loose valve. He tightened it, and sent me on my way. He is incredibly honest, and only suggests services that your car actually needs. Thank you so much for being a bright spot in the terrible year that is 2020.
